Author's bio:*Required Nicholas Richard Hurd (born 13 May 1962) is the Member of Parliament for Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner since 2005. He was Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Charities, Social Enterprise and Volunteering at the Cabinet Office in the Conservative-Liberal Democrat Coalition Government until July 2014. In November 2015, Hurd was appointed Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for international development following the resignation of Grant Shapps.
