Edwin Elijah Diaz is an artist/rapper/multi-instrumentalist from New York. I was born in the Bronx and grew up in New York and Massachusetts. I started playing guitar at the age of 13 my father and mother had inspired me especially since they both are musicians themselves. Living in a Hispanic household I ate many Latino dishes, some of my favorites are Tostones and Flan. Growing up I listened to a lot of artists from many genres across the music community. My biggest genre of influence is Grunge. Bands like Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, The Pixies. Music has helped me through many dark times in my life and I am sure it’s been the case for millions of others around the world. Never did I believe that making my own music was possible but through hard work I accomplished my goal. During High School, I used to skip class to play guitar in the Library. Other peers would follow who were interested in hearing me play. When we would get caught we would play hooky and escape the dreadful principal’s office to rock out at my ex-friends garage.
