Blackstar

John Blackstar:
[series' intro] John Blackstar, astronaut, is swept through a black hole, into an ancient alien universe. Trapped on the planet Sagar, Blackstar is rescued by the tiny Trobbit people. In turn, he joins their fight for freedom against the cruel Overlord, who rules by the might of the Powerstar. The Powerstar is split into the Powersword and the Starsword. And so with Starsword in hand, Blackstar together with his allies, sets out to save the planet Sagar. This is his destiny. I am John Blackstar.

Overlord:
She is there, Vizier, there in the Temple of the Cave-Apes.

Vizier:
But the Cave-Apes worship her, my lord. Will they let us take her?

Overlord:
The worship her, but they fear me!

Mara:
It's Amber, the sorceress. She was my ally centuries ago.

Overlord:
Excellent! Now our way is clear to Tamborian. [turns to camera] And powers beyond imagination!

John Blackstar:
[caught in a sandstorm] There's one chance: if I can fuse this sand into a dome.

John Blackstar:
Let me give you a reading light, Overlord. [uses the Star sword to temporarily blind his enemy]

John Blackstar:
Mara, how did you find us?

Mara:
[matter of factly] Magic. But the spell has left me very weak.

Balkar:
That'll teach you to kidnap Trobbits!

John Blackstar:
You're all washed up, Overlord.

Overlord:
Not I, Blackstar. Not I!

Overlord:
It will be a simple matter to find the Starsword on the bottom of the Magnetic Sea.

John Blackstar:
We've got to seal the crack! It'll take everything we've got.

Klone:
Maybe I can lend a hand as a spider-ape.

Rif:
Well, I'll never be dry again.

John Blackstar:
Poor Rif. He hates water so much, he holds his nose when he drinks it.

Gossamear:
I don't like this place. I could never fly here.

Rif:
Maybe you couldn't, but they sure can:

Balkar:
Shark-bats! Take cover!

Neptul:
The Overlord is coming to reclaim his starsword, Blackstar. Surrender it now or suffer the concequences.

John Blackstar:
Sorry Neptul, it's hard to find another Starsword in my size.

Neptul:
Take them! And do not be gentle.

Klone:
What's the matter? You never saw a cloud-cat before?

Mara:
[to Poulo] All gone, little one. You are the only Trobbit left.

John Blackstar:
Klone, do you have any idea where we are?

Klone:
Yes: hopelessly lost.

John Blackstar:
Oh, thanks. [grins] I was worried.

Overlord:
Outworlder fool! Do you think me powerless without my Powersword?

Terra:
Here, swallow a firefruit.

John Blackstar:
There's a great career back on Earth for us in, eh... plumbing.

Overlord:
You failed me, Crios.

Crios:
I promise you, Overlord, spring will never be unlocked from the box of seasons.

Overlord:
I want proof of that, Ice-king. If you can't bring me the key, then bring me the box of seasons.

Rif:
Jumpin' Frostberries!

Mara:
There are too many of them, Klone!

Klone:
[transformed into a frogbunny] We sure could use Blackstar now.

Mara:
How about the next best thing? [glancing at an ice sculpture of Blackstar & Warlock]

Klone:
By Jove, Mara. I think you've got it.

Balkar:
The key! It's gone.

Crios:
And spring is lost forever.

Balkar:
Come on, Poulo, you can build another snowman next winter.

Mara:
Here's to the rebel leader who stands against the Overlord whereever he goes. I give you: Blackstar.

Klone:
[raises his cup] Bottoms up, old chum. Clear, cool spring water.

John Blackstar:
Hey Mara, where are all these Lava Loc's coming from?

Mara:
From the Pitt of Darkness. [shoots energy from her index finger] They seek offerings for the Overlord.

Balkar:
Well, don't just stand there lollygagging, let's go help him!

Rif:
But that cliff is steep. Why, we'll drop like a bunch of hot patatos.

Overlord:
Starsword, you will be reunited with your better half: my mighty Powersword!

Overlord:
[addressing the Trobbits] Don't bother pleading for mercy. Nothing can save you now!

Overlord:
Allert the Lava Locs. I want that ship!

John Blackstar:
[laughs] I call it the Starsword tongue twister.

Katana:
Wow, that's some sword.

John Blackstar:
The Starsword? Yeah, it's handy in just about any situation.

Overlord:
[watching an image of Blackstar & Katana locked in an embrace] This... this ritual, what is it?

Katana:
Something called love. Some say it is the most powerful force in any universe.

Overlord:
They have never seen the Powerstar at work!

Katana:
This is Lt. Katana returning to base. Come in, headquarters.

Commander:
We read you, Katana. Did you find Blackstar?

Katana:
Affirmative, Commander. I'll need the entire fleet for my mission.

Commander:
What mission, Lieutenant?

Katana:
I'm going back there... to help him.

John Blackstar:
So many threats, so little time.

Nehilis:
That Air Whale will make a mighty weapon. The Mind gem will control it's mind and make it a slave to the Overlord.

Nehilis:
I was warned of you, Blackstar. The Overlord will reward me well for bringing him the Starsword.

John Blackstar:
I wouldn't play with that, Nehils. Unless you have no plans for the rest of your life.

Gossamear:
[to the Air Whale controlled by Nehilis] Take that, blubber brains!

Nehilis:
It's gone. I will never fly again.

John Blackstar:
That's no more than you deserve, Nehilis.

Princess Talena:
Escort me to my kingdom in the West. And my people will help you to defeat the Overlord.

John Blackstar:
That's the best offer I've had all day, Princess. It's a deal.

John Blackstar:
Hold on tight, Princess, because this elevator's going down.

Mara:
[during freefall] Everyone, grab hold of me!

Princess Talena:
By the Overlord, they won't interfere with my plans!

John Blackstar:
Explain it to me, Mara.

Mara:
What?

John Blackstar:
How escorting a lady home turns into a battle against a couple of very tough demons.

Kadray:
I am Kadray, the Lord of Time. Send by the Overlord on a special mission.

Balkar:
The Overlord? Then it must be a mission of evil, Timelord

Kadray:
Not of evil, foolish one, of power!

Kadray:
Ah, Blackstar, the rebel. You're exploits are well known. but I'm afraid your time is up. [Fires his time scepter]

John Blackstar:
[Blackstar deflects the beam with his Starsword] Looks like your timepiece needs a little winding.

Kadray:
Triton, charge!

John Blackstar:
Time we got a move on. Come on, Warlock!

Carpo:
Nuts to you, Timelord!

Kadray:
One bolt of my time scepter will turn you into a tired old man, Blackstar!

Kadray:
Release me, you vile Trobbit!

Balkar:
Return what you've stolen, Timelord!

Kadray:
The Sagar acorn belongs to the Fountain of Fire and you belong to the ground!

John Blackstar:
I don't need a Starsword, I need a flyswatter!

John Blackstar:
We'll need Mara and Clone.

Balkar:
Mara is in the Highlands, helping the druids.

John Blackstar:
Oh. [thinks for a moment] Storm the Amazon Queen will help us.

John Blackstar:
It's good to fight by your side again, Blackstar.

Storm:
Likewise, Storm.

John Blackstar:
Just what does this timelord look like?

Storm:
Like trouble!

Kadray:
The Fountain of Fire will be restored! The Time is now!

John Blackstar:
Not now, or ever.

Kadray:
Blackstar!

Kadray:
Lets see how well you fight after my time scepter turns you all into babies!

Carpo:
That's the last of them, Balkar. Every fruit and nut in the Sagar tree.

Balkar:
Good harvest, Trobbits. One hundred power fruits and one hundred knowledge nuts. Alright, who took the nuts?

Typhod:
Ahoy mates, bring me those knowledge nuts!

Phantom pirate:
The nuts, they - they're gone!

Typhod:
What? You swabs! I want those nuts. I need them! Find them!

Typhod:
You'll stay put. And when I get those knowledge nuts, you'll teach me how to use them.

Balkar:
Never. It's a secret.

Rif:
[shaking his head] Never, ever, Never!

Typhod:
Then I'll turn you all into serpents.

Rif:
Well, you see, you use 'em like this.

Balkar:
[shouting] Rif!

Typhod:
I'll sink that Golden Gallion once and for all. Release the Merminite serpents!

Balkar:
Quick, to the Trobbitboat!

Gossamear:
Hoo! Sometimes, solid ground is even better than open sky [bends down and kisses the ground]

John Blackstar:
[Mara's life form is fading] What has done this to you Mara, the storm?

Mara:
This is not a storm. It's a spell. Something... is drawing out all the magic of this planet. Drawing it to the North.

Balkar:
To the Kingdom of Ice!

John Blackstar:
That means the Overlord.

Mara:
Yes. And when all the magic is gone, I... will cease to exist.

John Blackstar:
Just think, Klone. This is the calm before the big storm.

Klone:
[in the guise of a flying bat] If this isn't a storm, It's sure doing a good immitation.

John Blackstar:
Now to find the Overlord.

Overlord:
You have found him, Blackstar. But you have found him too late! [throws him a ball of evil energy]

John Blackstar:
We have to work together, Overlord.

Overlord:
A truce?

John Blackstar:
As long as Brilerand is a menace.

Overlord:
Very well, rebel. But just this once.

Mara:
I must save the Trobbits. But it will take all the magic I have left...

Overlord:
Helping Trobbits. It pains me.

Overlord:
No one makes a fool of the Overlord!

John Blackstar:
We'll just see about that.

John Blackstar:
Lets go home, Poulo. This place has the smell of the Overlord.

Balkar:
[reading from a book of spells] To stop the heat and cool the fever, add the hair of an Iceberg-beaver

John Blackstar:
[zapping a gargoyle with his Starsword] Lights out, stoney!

Leader of the Desert Dwellers:
Such strength! You must be the one they call Blackstar.

John Blackstar:
In the flesh.

Leader of the Desert Dwellers:
How may we repay you from saving us from the Overlord's creatures?

John Blackstar:
There is one thing: I'll return the healing stone before six moons have passed.

John Blackstar:
I know your legend, Blackstar, you can be trusted.

The Emerald Knight:
We shall see! I'm the Emerald Knight, servant of the Overlord. I claim the healing stone for him.

Klone:
A hole that goes on forever.

John Blackstar:
The Overlord's idea of a moat.

Princ Dahl:
What is it?

[Luwena takes a deep breath]

John Blackstar:
Looks like a little gift from the Overlord, Prince Dahl.

Rif:
Easy, Gossamear, I'm breakable!

John Blackstar:
Who rules in Marakand, Balkar?

Balkar:
I've only heard legends. They speak of Shaldemar the ancient, who drains the live force from people and makes them Zombie slaves of the Overlord.

Rif:
Yay!

Balkar:
Rif, do something!

Rif:
I am, I'm yelling. Yay!

John Blackstar:
Maybe we can't fight them. But we can fool them. [grabs two hands ful of mud and starts smearing it on his face and hair]

Balkar:
[disguised as Zombies] Try to think... Zombie.

Rif:
Well, I didn't know Zombies could think. I'm a Zombie. I'm a Zombie.

Klone:
I've got it!

Balkar:
The fire-bat feather, good work Klone!

Klone:
Yes, the firebat wasn't too pleased about it, but... here goes! [throws the feather into Balkar's beaker]

Balkar:
This potion must be poured into the underground river that feeds the roots of Sagar.

John Blackstar:
I'll take the door on the right. Dal, you and Rif take the one on the left.

Rif:
I'd rather take the next boat outta here.

Shaldemar:
Blackstar, you will pay for this with your soul!

Klone:
Those ugly icicles can't stop a lava-lion, Overlord!

Klone:
I've got a bad feeling about this.

Balkar:
Blackstar and Klone have been gone far too long. They may have been captured by the Overlord!

Rif:
No Balkar, you's always jumping to corny conclusions! Everything will be juuuust fine.

John Blackstar:
Are you alright, Klone?

Klone:
I could use a good meal. And a three day nap.

Carpo:
That fellow may look like me, but he can't tie knots like me. We'll be free in a jiffy.

Balkar:
And then we'll have to fight.

John Blackstar:
Let's hit the road Klone.
