Bounty
Duane "Dog" Chapman and his posse are on the prowl again, scouring the underbelly of Honolulu for its most-wanted miscreants in Dog the Bounty Hunter: The Best of Season Three. The season kicks off with Dog introducing his daughter, Lyssa, to the family business, making her the third child in Dog's pack to suit up for a stakeout. Shortly after she is enlisted in a full-blown hunt for a culprit with a laundry list of assault charges, she decides that bounty hunting might not be the career of choice for her. Sons Duane Lee and Leland, along with brother Tim and wife Beth, also join Dog in the show's adventures, juxtaposing the hard-nosed bounty-hunting business with the clan's enduring family spirit. Bringing this contrast to a crescendo is Dog's quest to save the holidays by hunting a Christmas grinch and courting an elusive Cupid, who is wooed into turning herself in with a special valentine from Leland. No one is beyond Dog's grasp (and sympathy), it seems, as he tracks down his ex-housekeeper who fears that he may be ashamed of her thieving ways. The two share tears and hugs before Dog carts her off to prison. It's easy to cheer for Dog, half tough-as-nails, half family man, in this collection of eight suspenseful and amusing episodes. --Libby Chennell
