Eye of the Storm

The second (2004) season of Gravion mixes several genres: sci-fi, mecha, comedy, adventure, and jiggle. Under the leadership of dashing Klein Sandman, the elite G-Knights continue their battles against the alien Zeravire. Eiji and Taro remain the only males in the squadron of nubile young women. Their individually piloted machines combine to form Heavy Metal God Gravion, a handsomely designed mecha in the Gundam tradition. The poorly staged battle sequences fail to showcase the gigantic robot, but it doesn't really matter: Gravion Zwei is more about fan service than military service. The girls range from mildly curvaceous Ena to Mizuki, who, like June, is bustin' out all over. Viewers see a lot of Eiji's bare buns in episode 3, suggesting that fan-service nudity is becoming more gender neutral. But Gravion Zwei is an inane throw-away of a series.
