Eric:
If there's flirting going on, then I should be here.

Jackson:
[sarcastically] You're not my type.

Jackson:
You said I don't belong at your school because I come from a "totally different world."

Nathan:
But I didn't mean it!

Abby:
You won't believe what I've been through.

Jackson:
So what's up with you and Daley?

Melissa:
Nothing. [pause]

Melissa:
Except I totally hate her right now.

Jackson:
[sarcastically] Glad to know it's nothing.

Taylor:
[after hearing that they found somebody in the jungle] Are we rescued?

Eric:
I'm lost and I'm scared!

Taylor:
Am I gonna, like, swell up and die?

Daley:
Hopefully

Taylor:
What?

Jackson:
[upset] Where I am supposed to go now?

Melissa:
[hugging him] You're already there. Without you we'd be lost.

Eric:
Chaos, I love it!

Eric:
All right! We got ourselves a feud.

Eric:
[about the water carrying job Jackson gave him] He's got me lugging water from leech infested jungle all the way to the fire pit. I mean, what am I? Some kind of camel?

Daley:
We've done our best and no matter what happens, we have to remember that.

Lex:
The lightning's awesome!

Eric:
Yeah? Go play in it.

Daley:
[at the trial] I'm here to defend my brother and find the truth.

Taylor:
[to everyone] But I thought we were looking for the tapes!

Daley:
...because as we all know, you can't play the tapes without the camera.

Taylor:
[to Melissa] Is that true?

Eric:
Now we're gonna shoot the scene when you single-handedly keep the plane from getting washed into the ocean...

Taylor:
Wait! Isn't that like fake? Shouldn't I use both hands?

Daley:
[mad at Nathan after they had been fighting over who would be leader] Was Nathan this inflexible when you two went out?

Taylor:
Worse, he couldn't even touch his toes.

Nathan:
I've never killed anything! Except for a fish. But that's different! Except for the fish...

Eric:
[after Melissa gave him an allergy shot] Was that a dream, or did you just stab me in the freakin leg?

Jackson:
[after Melissa Read the Soldiers letter] I dont want somebody to read a letter about what happened to us 60 years from now. I want to tell them my self.

Taylor:
There is not enough room in that grungy dungeon for me, a bunch of hygene impaired boys, and the smell of toe jam! Build a Shelter!

Daley:
[to Lex, who is working on plans for the shelter] Grungy Dungeon?

Lex:
I really hope this works.

Jackson:
Mel, I don't know what's going on between Taylor and me...

Melissa:
Stop, okay? [gets up and starts walking] You don't owe me an explanation. [Jackson gets up and follows her] Just because I have feelings for you doesn't mean you have to feel the same way.

Jackson:
[stepping in front of her] But I do.

Melissa:
[walking up to Jackson] Hi...

Jackson:
[stands up] Oh, hey. I uhh... [pulls her tape out of his pocket] got something for you. [Melissa takes it] You should probably keep that in a safe place.

Melissa:
Oh I will. [looking all embarrassed]

Jackson:
Listen, um, since we all have to live with each other here, I think... it'd be kinda weird for any of us to get, you know.

Melissa:
[nodding] Yeah, it's okay. Just forget this happened, I'm so embarrassed. I know we're just friends. [walks away]

Jackson:
[calling after her] But maybe when - [Melissa stops] we get back home, I could... give you a call or something.

Melissa:
[smiles and turns back around, shrugging] Yeah, I'd like that.

Jackson:
[smiles] Give me a hand here? [Melissa nods] Alright. [He hands her coconuts and they finish laying them out on the beach to form the word 'help']

Daley:
Okay, who lit a fire outside the pit?

Melissa:
It was a candle. If Jackson wasn't all ga-ga over Abby, he wouldn't have kicked it over...

Jackson:
I'm not "ga-ga" over Abby.

Daley:
It's alright Lex. You haven't let us down yet

Lex:
I really wish people would stop telling me that.

Daley:
We could, you know, just cut the rations in half.

Eric:
In half? This was nothing. We can't cut nothing in half. That's like, negative nothin'.

Nathan:
Not a math guy, are ya?

Jackson:
[after he just stepped on her foot as they were dancing] I'm so sorry.

Melissa:
[referring to their previous fight] Me too.

Abby:
Oh, um, I'm a vegan. I don't eat meat.

Capitan Russell:
I see. I don't eat vegetables, so what does that make me?

Abby:
A meat head?

Capitan Russell:
[pause] Touch?.

Nathan McHugh:
My name's Nathan McHugh and I'm one of the eleven people from Los Angeles who... crashed on an island somewhere in the South Pacific. We're not sure how long we're gonna be here, but I thought it would be a smart idea to make a diary in case... well, in case whatever. Uh, we all go to the same school, but we're not a bunch. Melissa's great. You know, I think she's the one person we can all rely on. I hate to say I'm glad she's here, but... I'm glad she's here. Daley? She's totally competent, but... she's an ego case. If an idea isn't hers, it's not a good one. Eric's a funny guy, but he's strange. He's acting like this is a vacation. I wonder what he's gonna do when reality hits. Taylor's gonna need a clue. Or you know what? Maybe it's better that she doesn't have one, 'cause if she figures out how much trouble we're in, her brain might explode. I don't get Jackson. You know, he's only been at school a couple of months so nobody really knows him. I don't know if he's cool or super smart or brain-dead. To be honest, he gives me the creeps. And Daley's little stepbrother, Lex, is here, unfortunately. You know, this is gonna be tough enough without having a little kid getting all upset on us.

Nathan:
Why should I be the one to make peace? He started it!

Jackson:
Mel, I don't know what's going on between Taylor and me ...

Melissa:
Stop, okay? [gets up and starts walking] You don't owe me an explanation. [Jackson gets up and follows her] Just because I have feelings for you doesn't mean you have to feel the same way.

Jackson:
[stepping in front of her] But I do.

Taylor:
You have no idea what we've been through!

Abby:
O yea. Been really difficult? Scary? [walks toward Taylor] You have no idea how bad it's gonna get.

Daley:
Don't you understand? We are ONE breath away from Disaster!

Nathan:
So, how bad is it out there?

Abby:
A lot worse than here at the resort.

Jackson:
[to Nathan, Lex, and Taylor as Abbey, Jackson, Eric, and Melissa are about to leave to explore the North Shore] So. I guess I'll see you you soon. [starts to turn, stops and turns back] But if not, see you later

Taylor:
What if nobody finds us? I don't want to die here. [pause] I don't want to die anywhere.

Jackson:
[Interrupting Eric's annoyingly elaborate speech at the "trial"] Eric?

Eric:
What?

Jackson:
Get over yourself!
