Future Weather

Lauduree:
[her assignment paper] Science says that everything around us has an invisible reason for existing. The sky, electricity, chlorophyll, the color of someone's irises. Science brings me closer to the world. Science is also the only way we're going to figure out how to make our planet safe for future generations. Solutions of global warming must be researched now. We're at the tipping point.

Lauduree:
I don't work with partners.

Greta:
What's so bad about coming to live with me?

Lauduree:
I can't leave my research.

Greta:
Lauree, you are not a scientist. You are a minor, without a mother.

Lauduree:
I am in the middle of finding out the Pine's fixed degree of proportion of CO2 in the atmosphere than Oaks. If you make me leave now, I'll have to abandon 6 months of data.

Ed:
Whatd'ya think, Ree?

Lauduree:
I think Florida's gonna be under water in 30 years, Ed.

Lauduree:

Lauduree:

Lauduree:

[narrating] I like science because it helps me measure changes. Changes so small, they're barely visible to the naked eye.

Greta:
