Goliath:
One thousand years ago, superstition and the sword ruled. It was a time of darkness, it was a world of fear, it was the age of Gargoyles. Stone by day, warriors by night, we were betrayed by the humans we had sworn to protect, frozen in stone by a magic spell for a thousand years. Now, here in Manhattan, the spell is broken and we live again! We are defenders of the night, we are Gargoyles!

Broadway:
Why stare at marks on a page when you can rent the video?

Goliath:
Release Broadway.

MacBeth:
Heh, or what?

Goliath:
[holds the scrolls over a fire] Or I'll burn the scrolls.

MacBeth:
Go ahead. They're worthless. No magic at all.

Broadway:
No! They *are* magic! But you can't burn them, Goliath. You *can't*! It's Merlin's life, in his own words. When you read them, they take you there. It is magic, Goliath. *Precious* magic.

Hudson:
Aye, lad. 'Twould be a greatest shame to lose them.

Goliath:
I feared the scrolls would be too great a temptation for...

Elisa Maza:
XANATOS! Made me look like an amateur. But I've got no proof. Without it...

Goliath:
Without it. It falls to us.

MacBeth:
[after throwing Broadway] You understand I don't get any real pleasure from this. [Broadway growls] Well you've got courage beastie. I'll give you that... What you don't have... is a prayer.

Jeffery Robbins:
I understand. But it's not shameful to be illiterate, Hudson. It's only shameful to stay that way.

Jeffery Robbins:
The written word is all that stands between memory and oblivion. Without books as our anchors, we are cast adrift, neither teaching nor learning. They are windows on the past, mirrors on the present, and prisms reflecting all possible futures. Books are lighthouses erected in the dark sea of time.

[Robbins locates MacBeth by looking up his alias in a Braille phone directory]

Hudson:
A magic book...

Jeffery Robbins:
Aren't they all?

Hudson:
[sees a framed medal] What is this?

[He hands it to Robbins, who feels it]

Jeffery Robbins:
My Purple Heart. For this. [indicates his blind eyes] So busy trying to herd a bunch of green kids through 'Nam that I didn't watch my step. Shrapnel - you never see it coming.

Hudson:
"Nam"?

Jeffery Robbins:
Vietnam. The war? Funny, something about your voice made me think you were a soldier, once.

Hudson:
Aye. Still am, I suppose.

[after MacBeth tells the story of King Arthur and Merlin]

Broadway:
You were there.

MacBeth:
[laughs] I'm old, but I'm not *that* old. Obviously, I read about it.

Broadway:
But... you describe it as if you were there.

Jeffery Robbins:
Are you all right?

Hudson:
I had a little trouble.

Jeffery Robbins:
This beach isn't safe after dark. Do you need a doctor?

Hudson:
No. Just a place to rest until sunrise. If I could lean on you...

Jeffery Robbins:
Come on in. I've got a fire going.

Hudson:
There's little I can offer in return, except my thanks.

Jeffery Robbins:
That's payment in full.

Hudson:
Well, what fills your nights now, Robbins?

Jeffery Robbins:
I write novels. Or I did, until they dried up.

[Hudson looks at the bookshelves in amazement]

Hudson:
You wrote all of these?

Jeffery Robbins:
[laughs] Wouldn't that be something! No. But I did have a few modest successes.

Jeffrey Robbins:

Elisa Maza:
Hey Morgan, what's so funny?

Morgan:
I just pulled in this rangy old guy who was walking the street in armour- *real* armor- King Arthur sturff. He said he was looking for Gargoyles.

Elisa Maza:
[chuckles] Another one, huh? These guys ought to start a club.

Morgan:
This guy was different. Good somehow. He even had the gargoyle's name, said he was looking for "Goliath."

Elisa Maza:
Now remember I took a big chance telling the Sargent I knew your family.

Guardian:
If you know Goliath, one could say you do.

Goliath:
I do not know you.

Guardian:
But I know *you*. I also know of Princess Katherine, the Magus, and the gargoyle eggs.

Goliath:
Who are you?

Guardian:
Why it's me, Tom. I was but a lad at Castle Wyvern that night when the Vikings destroyed your clan. But there's no time to explain now. We must go the eggs are in danger!

Elisa Maza:
Who is this guy?

Goliath:
Tom was a friend to my kind, we friends were all too few. If this is *actually* Tom.

Elisa Maza:
Bronx seems to like him.

Goliath:
Very well, then, I will go with you.

Elisa Maza:
Go where? The other side of the lake? [Goliath and Bronx get in the boat] Wait for me!

Katherine:
Tomorrow morning, I will be Queen. You must take the eggs and go without me. You know I'm right Magus. If I go, Constantine will hunt me to the very ends of the Earth.

Magus:
Then I will take you *beyond* them!

Mary:
Are you sure you know the way?

Magus:
With the right spell, Avalon can be reached from any body of water.

Magus:
I cannot go with you to Avalon. I cannot bring the Grimmorum.

Finella:
Then leave it.

Magus:
It's the source of my magic, without it, I am...

Katherine:
*Still* the Magus, and my friend.

Magus:
This book is as good as a map to Avalon. If Constantine were to get a hold of it...

Finella:
Leave it with me, Magus. I will protect it- with my life!

Mary:
I'll stay with Finella, all alone, you run into trouble, two women can cause plenty!

Goliath:
[after the Guardian finishes his tale] I owe you more than I can ever repay.

Mary:
I wonder how many of them will survive the journey to your Uncle Kenneth's kingdom?

Katherine:
All of them, Mary! I'll see to that.

Young Tom:
Aye, we'll fight off all who would threaten these eggs!

Katherine:
Come here Tom. Kneel before me. [Tom kneels] Do you solemnly swear on your life and your honor to protect these gargoyle eggs and the beings within them as long as you live?

Young Tom:
I swear!

Young Tom:
Arise Tom, Guardian of the eggs.

Angela:
Guardian, welcome home!

[Hugs Guardian]

Elisa Maza:
*These* are the eggs?

Guardian:
Sorry, I've always called them that.

Angela:
Are you Goliath? [Goliath nods] I've heard so much about you. This is like a dream come true.

Guardian:
Goliath, Elisa - This is Angela.

Goliath:
You've given them names?

Angela:
Of course. How else could we tell each other apart?

Archmage:
There is no hope for you under the heavens. I'm insulted you thought otherwise.

Goliath:
[Breaking free] Don't be *too* insulted!

Elisa Maza:
I know this isn't the time, but I can't help noticing Angela sort of looks like Demona except her coloring is different. Whose daughter is she?

Goliath:
Daughters and sons belong to the whole clan, Elisa. It is the gargoyle way.

Goliath:
How many are wounded?

Angela:
Too many. We weren't prepared for battle.

Gabriel:
Before tonight there was never any need to hone our battle skills.

Phoebe:
Oberon will not be pleased.

Selene:
He entrusted us to guard the gates of Avalon.

Luna:
Now we are banished from that fair isle by a magician's parlor tricks.

Archmage:
Might I suggest an alliance?

Selene:
We make no pacts with sorcerers!

Archmage:
Not even if I can promise you revenge on these mortals?

Phoebe:
...We are listening.

Archmage:
It will take some time.

Luna:
What is time to an immortal?

Archmage:
[Referring to MacBeth and Demona] Protect these two, guide their courses.

Luna:
Archmage, have you forgotten Oberon's law magically forbids us from directly interfering in human events?

Archmage:
The law that cannot be broke, can surely be bent.

Phoebe:
[smiles] This is true.

Archmage (Future):
Give him the Grimorum.

Selene:
Are you mad? The Eye and the Gate were forged on the island. But the Grimmorum is full of *human* sorcerery!

Luna:
By Oberon's law, no magics may enter here, save Avalon's own!

Archmage:
You mean we went to all that trouble to get the Grimorum and now I can't even take it in with me? What am I supposed to do? EAT IT?

Archmage (Future):
You *are* learning!

The Weird Sisters:
Why did you call us off?

Archmage:
If we wait until dawn, the gargoyles will be stone. Three puny humans will be all that stand between us and victory! Besides I needed to give them time to bring Goliath to the island. My vengenance would not be complete without *him*!

Goliath:
We can deal with MacBeth and Demona. We've done it before. But we *cannot* fight the Archmage without magic. Magus, I'll need your help.

Magus:
But I have no magic. Without the Grimorum, I am useless.

Katherine:
That's not true! Don't say it, and don't THINK it!

Guardian:
[as they're leaving Avalon] Elisa, I thought you understood. Avalon doesn't TAKE you where you want to go, Avalon SENDS YOU WHERE YOU NEED TO BE!

Magus:
Iron Armor, swords and riches/Form a chain to bind these Witches!

Magus:
[after Goliath thanks him] I cursed your clan.

Goliath:
You saved the eggs.

Katherine:
Little is known of the Sleeping King.

Magus:
Just that he'll sleep here until his country needs him.

Goliath:
[after Demona fires on Gabriel and Angela] No! They are our clan's children! Demona, I know you hate humans, but these are innocent gargoyles.

Demona:
No. [breaks the spell] It cannot be.

Goliath:
And you MacBeth, does you much vaunted sense of honor include the slaughter of innocents? [MacBeth breaks free] The Archmage is *using* you!

Archmage:
[Appears and chuckles] Oh, you're very good Goliath. But appealing to their better natures won't help you. They are *my* creatures now!

Archmage:
I generously allowed them to live until dawn, but they're so eager to DIE!

Elisa Maza:
You still love her. Why didn't you fight for her?

Magus:
Without the Grimmorum, I had nothing to offer her.

Elisa Maza:
But you stayed.

Magus:
What I did to the gargoyles 1000 years ago was... unforgivable. I *owed* it to Goliath to tend the eggs!

Magus:
Armored warrior who would stay/Upon the winds of yesterday/You have discharged your promise bold/So sleep you now, grow still, grow cold!

Elisa Maza:
I thought you lost your magic!

Magus:
That I did centuries ago, but magic is the lifeblood of Avalon, especially in this Hallow Hill. My training makes it possible for me to tap the source - without a conduit, like the Grimmorum, it is very hard. I doubt I could do it again.

Goliath:
I take it you had more success than we did.

Elisa Maza:
Thanks to the Magus. Demona and MacBeth are two of the greatest warriors of all time. We've got to face it, Goliath, you've never actually beaten either of them.

Goliath:
I - only foiled their plans, or fought them to a draw.

Elisa Maza:
We needed the best warrior who ever lived. We needed King Arthur.

King Arthur:
[clears throat] That is all very flattering, but would someone kindly tell me, what's going on?

Macbeth:
Who are you?

King Arthur:
I am Arthur Pendragon.

Macbeth:
King Arthur?

King Arthur:
The same!

Macbeth:
Well, I always wanted to see how I'd stand up against the best!

Magus:
Mystical Avalon, hear my plea, fill me with your energy.

[Blasts the Weird Sisters]

Phoebe:
You hurt us, sorcerer.

Luna:
You steal power from the land of our birth!

The Weird Sisters:
YOU WILL *SUFFER*!

Demona:
How cozy. Now you can all die together.

[a shot goes off close to Demona]

Elisa Maza:
Wouldn't you rather have me?

Demona:
Always!

Katherine:
Enough of this! [picks up Demona's weapon] GET CLEAR! [Everyone runs, Katherine fires]

Guardian:
My love.

Katherine:
No one threatens my eggs!

Goliath:
I will miss you all.

Gabriel:
Our place... my place is here. The others are already rebuilding the Palace. Your clan could join us.

Goliath:
No. Gargoyles and humans must learn to live together again. Or it will never be safe for us in the outside world.

Angela:
Goliath, I want to go with you.

Goliath:
It's a dangerous path, Angela. But... you'd be welcome company.

Angela:
[Anglea walks to Gabriel] Gabriel, I have to go... see the world... find my place in it.

Gabriel:
And so you will. But I will miss you my rookery sister.

Elisa Maza:
Souvenirs?

Goliath:
I'm personally going to ensure that the Phoenix Gate and Eye of Odin are never used again!

[repeated line]

Goliath:
Jalape?o!

Archmage:
[his last words] All my lovely magic...

Archmage:
Did you think I'd forgotten our last battle?

[blasts Goliath]

Archmage:
Well, I'm no longer that weakling. I could destroy you with a word!

Goliath:
Then why don't you?

Archmage:
Because I'm having too much fun!

Elisa Maza:
Get back or you'll all be street pizza.

Goliath:
It is the nature of humans to fear what they do not understand. Their ways are not our ways.

Brooklyn:
If they think we're beasts and monsters...

Lexington:
Then perhaps we better live up to the name.

Viking Warrior:
Attacking a castle full of gargoyles near nightfall, this is crazy! And Hakon knows it!

Hakon:
[Hakon grabs the warrior] No, my friend, that's not crazy. Questioning my sanity when I'm in earshot, THAT'S crazy! [to his men] I say those gargoyles are naught but chiseled stone! And even if they aren't it's worth the risk for the plunder within! ATTACK!

Princess Katharine:
Captain, we are most seriously displeased to allow beasts in the Dining Hall!

Magus:
You speak wisely, Princess. These are unnatural creatures. No good can come from associating with them.

Captain of the Guard:
Their leader swore they'd be back. It's best to harry them far away and not take that chance!

Goliath:
...Very well. But *I* shall do it! I can scare those *cowards* away without any help.

Demona:
That's too dangerous for you! Let me come along at least!

Goliath:
You and the others will stay with the castle. You are my best warrior. I leave you in command.

Demona:
No! I cannot let you!

Goliath:
I won't go alone. Remember you and I are one, now and forever.

Tom:
I'm Tom, what's your name?

Lexington:
Except for Goliath, we don't have names.

Tom:
How do you tell each other apart?

Lexington:
We look different.

Tom:
But what do you call each other?

Brooklyn:
Friend.

Demona:
Are you blind? They were not at fault. The humans were!

Goliath:
No matter who was at fault. I cannot condone fighting between their people and ours. I will make it up to them... later. I have business to attend to.

Lexington:
[watching Broadway eat some slime in the rookery] I hope we're not down here long. He might eat us.

Goliath:
They were leading the horses to decoy us from the castle! [Goliath turn and run back towards the castle]

Hudson:
We're too late! [the sun rises and they both turn to stone]

Hakon:
Not that I'm ungrateful for your help, but why? Why betray your own kind?

Captain of the Guard:
They're *not* my kind!

Morgan:
[First lines. To the crowd] Get back! Get back!

Elisa Maza:
[Showing her badge] Maza! 23rd. What's going on?

Morgan:
Got me, detective. Must be a heck of a party up there!

[Having captured the castle, Hakon raises his mace to smash the gargoyles. The Captain grabs his hand]

Captain of the Guard:
There's no need for that! You've taken the castle already.

Hakon:
Are you mad? In moments, they'll be flesh again, and my men will be their prey!

Captain of the Guard:
Once your band is out of sight, they won't follow! It's not their nature.

Hakon:
Ah. Well, in that case...

[Hakon shoves the Captain against the wall, and raises his mace again]

Hakon:
Care to discuss the matter further?

Captain of the Guard:
...No.

Hakon:
I haven't lived this long by taking foolish chances.

[He smashes the gargoyles, while the Captain watches in horror]

David Xanatos:
Start hiring crews, I want to begin as soon as possible.

Owen Burnett:
It may prove difficult to find the necessary manpower. This castle has a bad reputation. The locals consider it haunted.

David Xanatos:
You know the answer to that, Owen. Pay a man enough and he'll walk barefoot into Hell.

Goliath:
I have a request.

Princess Katharine:
You have but to name it.

Goliath:
The eggs in the rookery will soon hatch. They will need guidance.

Princess Katharine:
Never fear. We will care for them as if they were our own.

Goliath:
There is something you can do for me Magus, cast your spell one more time.

Goliath:
I've been denied *everything*! Even my revenge!

David Xanatos:
Without you and your friends, who knows what those thugs would've done.

Goliath:
Someone I once trusted said the same thing to me. And then destroyed my people.

Goliath:
I've been denied everything... EVEN MY REVENGE!

Goliath:
All of my kind are dead... and now... you two will join them!

Goliath:
Were any more down in the rookery?

Broadway:
...Only us.

Hudson:
All the humans are gone. Taken prisoner most likely.

Goliath:
Then we will find them. We will save them. And we will have our *revenge*!

Hakon:
You said they wouldn't follow us!

Captain:
If you hadn't destroyed the others!

Hakon:
Your precious gargoyles have come, Princess.

Princess Katharine:
The gargoyles? You're a dead man Hakon!

Hudson:
These weapons. We must be battling sorcerers!

Goliath:
Even so, we must protect the castle. It's all we have left!

David Xanatos:
I know you were used poorly by men in the past, but all that's about to change. Trust me.

Goliath:
You broke the spell of sleep that imprisoned us, Xanatos. And for that we are grateful. But we will never trust humans again!

David Xanatos:
I can tell this relationship is something we all have to work at.

Goliath:
What sorcery is this?

Owen Burnett:
You may find yourself short of workers. The locals consider the castle haunted.

David Xanatos:
You know the answer to that, Owen. Pay a man enough... and he'll walk barefoot into Hell.

Hudson:
Must you humans name everything? Nothing's real to you 'til you've named it, given it limits.

Elisa Maza:
It's not like that. It's just that, well... uh... things need names.

Hudson:
Does the sky need a name? Does the river?

Elisa Maza:
The river's called the Hudson.

Hudson:
Fine, lass. Then I will be the Hudson as well.

Elisa Maza:
[chuckling as she's walking in the park with Goliath] We're probably the only couple in the park who don't have to worry about muggers.

Goliath:
[after rescuing two-would be victims from a gang, the couple runs from Goliath] Human gratitude?

Elisa Maza:
I guess... You know Goliath, you could be the *best* thing to happen to the city in a long time.

Goliath:
I see no walls to guard this city. How do you protect it from invaders?

Elisa Maza:
Well our biggest worries aren't from outside, they're from inside.

Goliath:
*That* I'm all *too* familiar with.

Elisa Maza:
[after Hudson leaves] Well looks like it's just you and me. So what do you want to see?

Goliath:
The dangers that threaten me and my kind.

Elisa Maza:
Lighten up, will you. You're starting to bring me down and I'm a cop.

David Xanatos:
The truth is that my men repelled an invasion by a rival corporation trying to steal some of our new technology.

Elisa Maza:
"Repelled an invasion"? You're a private citizen, Xanatos. Not a country.

Brooklyn:
[as they're about to open an elevator door] Looks like this is it.

Broadway:
This is easy. We'll have that disc and be home in time for supper... [They open the door and there are weapons pointing at them] a late supper.

Goliath:
Given what happened, I wish you *had* accompanied us last night, Hudson.

Brooklyn:
Hudson?

Hudson:
Aye, it's my name. And what would you make of it?

Broadway:
It's a fine name.

Lexington:
Hudson. I -uh- I like it.

Brooklyn:
We should choose names too. Names that suit our new lives here.

Goliath:
Oh? And what might they be?

Brooklyn:
[scratches his head, and thinks] MM. Brooklyn. I'm Brooklyn!

Broadway:
Broadway.

Lexington:
Lexington. Do you like it?

Goliath:
They're all fine names. I guess he'll need one as well.

Brooklyn:
Oh ho. I've got one for him too. From now on, you're Bronx!

Elisa Maza:
[after taking care of the last attacker] Lot to go through for a piece of lawn sculpture.

Brooklyn:
Cool!

Goliath:
What?

Broadway:
It's a new word we learned last night.

Lexington:
It indicates a positive response.

Broadway:
These are great, you should try some.

Brooklyn:
Would have, if you hadn't eaten the whole cartful.

Bruno the Commander:
It's over lady. Don't get me wrong, I admire you. You and that freak job took out four of my people. And now - uh oh.

Jogger:
I've run this path for five years, I never noticed that statue before.

Elisa Maza:
This park's full of surprises.

Hudson:
Don't worry lads, he'll be back. We didn't survive a thousand years sleep to lose him now.

David Xanatos:
Goliath, there's someone I'd like you to meet. An old acquaintance I believe.

Goliath:
Who?... [Goliath gasps] You're alive!

Demona:
Goliath, my love.

Goliath:
With you alive, I can start to live again as well.

Demona:
As you said, you and I are one now and forever.

Demona:
We've dreamed for a thousand years Goliath. It's time for our dreams to come true.

Goliath:
My angel, it really is you.

Demona:
Oh, Goliath. All the days I've dreamed of you and this moment.

[Xanatos clears his throat]

David Xanatos:
I'm very happy for you both.

Demona:
This man has brought us together my love. We owe our reunion to David Xanatos.

Goliath:
But how - You were shattered by the vikings.

Demona:
No. I feared for your safety so I left the castle to find you but I lost my way and the sun rose before I could return.

Goliath:
How did you survive all these centuries?

Demona:
When I returned to the castle the Magus had already turned you to stone. I begged him to cast his spell on me so that we might awaken together.

David Xanatos:
I saw her a year ago and was so impressed I acquired her for my private collection. Then after I woke *you* up it seemed plausible that a trip to castle might have the same effect on her.

Goliath:
With you alive, I can start to live again as well.

Demona:
As you said, you and I are one. Now and forever.

Demona:
I have a name, too, Goliath. The humans gave it to me long ago. You should know it before you die. I am... Demona.

Goliath:
I have promised to meet a friend. I'll be back soon.

Demona:
A friend? Who? Not one of us.

Goliath:
No. A human. Elisa Maza.

Demona:
Aside from Xanatos, we have no human friends, nor should we. Humanity is our enemy, Goliath. I thought you learned that a millennium ago.

Goliath:
I cannot make war upon an entire world. Doesn't Xanatos prove that there are good humans as well as bad?

Demona:
Can you forgive the humans for what they did to our kind?

Goliath:
The ones responsible for that have been dead for a thousand years.

Demona:
Then their descendants shall pay! I will have blood for blood!

Goliath:
You said the centuries have changed me. They've changed you, too. You've become hard, unforgiving. You're not as I remember you. I'm going to see my friend now.

Demona:
So be it.

Brooklyn:
Sorry, wrong floor.

Broadway:
I wish I had time for a snack.

Lexington:
You just ate.

Broadway:
I know, Chinese food. It was good, too. But for some reason, an hour later I was hungry again.

Elisa Maza:
Listen Goliath, we haven't know each other very long and I know you don't have any good reason to trust humans... But you've got to trust somebody in this world. And I think you'd be better off with me than with Xanatos... You won't regret it.

Hudson:
And they said the Middle Ages were barbaric.

Goliath:
[to Demona] There is good and evil in all of us, human and gargoyle alike. *You* should know that more than anyone. Don't you see, none of this would have happened if it weren't for you.

Goliath:
[holding Xanatos over the edge of the building] She wanted me to destroy humanity, I think I'll start with you!

David Xanatos:
Go ahead. Without me, you'd still be gathering moss.

Elisa Maza:
NO GOLIATH! Don't do this.

Goliath:
Give me one good reason not to drop him.

Goliath:
Because if you do, you're the same as Demona.

Hudson:
She's right, lad. Is that what you want?

Goliath:
...No.

Goliath:
[referring to Demona] Do you think she survived?

Hudson:
If she did, we'll know soon enough I imagine.

Kai:
[as Bronx is licking him] Where did you come from?

Goliath:
He came with us.

Kai:
I had given up hope of meeting other gargoyles. Welcome to Ishimura. I am Kai.

Goliath:
I am Goliath. This is Elisa and Angela. You've already met Bronx.

Elisa Maza:
Do humans and gargoyles live here together?

Kai:
Yes. for many generations. It's the best kept secret in Japan.

Kai:
Our clan has lived here for centuries. In old times, gargoyles fought alongside samurai. But when peace came over the land, our ancestors settled here in Ishimura to teach Bushido, the way of the warrior. We have no students now, but Bushido has given us a code of honor and allowed us to live in peace with our neighbors throughout the years.

Yama:
Ant thus we have remained here, cut off from the world.

Kai:
We took an *oath* to defend this village! And besides we have survived while others have not.

Yama:
What about them? [points to Goliath and Angela]

Goliath:
Humans betrayed our clan, very few of us survived.

Goliath:
[as the sun is about to rise] I have always greeted the dawn facing out. In the direction from which trouble may come.

Kai:
Here, we face in, towards our home. It is a bond of trust with our human protectors. [the protectors and Elisa arrive] Ahh, here they are now, until sunset my friends.

Goliath:
Until sunset Elisa.

Elisa Maza:
You know this is my kind of town.

Elisa Maza:
[waking up] What happened to the gargoyles?

Hiroshi:
Our failure has betrayed them!

Taro:
I built this park as a living tribute to gargoyles. Here you clan can live and *safely* be introduced to the entire human race, a few at a time.

Kai:
But we have remained hidden from centuries.

Taro:
Perhaps it is your secret that is the problem, and not the humans.

Goliath:
And you will solve this problem by charging admission?

Angela:
Some of what Taro says makes sense, but I don't trust him.

Goliath:
Nor do I. Elisa would *never* voluntarily allow us to be taken! Obviously Avalon sent us all here to look after Kai and his clan.

Goliath:
Kai revealing yourselves to the human world is a dangerous step.

Yama:
[Angrily] What business is it of yours if our clan wants a better life?

Goliath:
Can't you see that here humans will gawk at you or worse?

Yama:
Yet how can we hope to become accepted in the world if we are afraid to show ourselves.

Goliath:
Then do so on your *own* terms! Not in this cheap amusement park!

Yama:
I will not be insulted by an OUTSIDER! [attacks Goliath]

Kai:
Gargoyle must not fight gargoyle!

Henchman:
They're going to be mad when they wake up.

I certainly hope so, a few angry gargoyles will make a most exciting attraction.

[to his henchman] Let the press in.

Yama:
The Press? So you lied about the children too. You have *no* honor!

Taro:
Hey, nobody got rich off bushido.

Yama:
[Goliath starts to step towards Taro. Yama stops Goliath] Bushido demands I face him alone!

Taro:
Bushido is not kind to you, Yama.

Hiroshi:
Starting today, we will renew our study of Bushido, and our covenant with the Gargoyles.

Elisa Maza:
At least it's possible for gargoyles to trust *some* humans. It's not much, but it's a start.

Female Reporter:
What was all that noise?

Taro:
Gargoyles! This park features *real* gargoyles. Stone during the day, they come alive at night.

Male Reporter:
Ha! You expect us to believe that?

Elisa Maza:
I've seen them! They're bigger than this statue. Must - must be a hundred feet tall!

Hiroshi:
Yes. Yes! And they can turn invisible!

Elisa Maza:
There are thousands of them surrounding us even now.

Female Reporter:
Sounds like you've been watching too many cartoons.

Lexington:
[after saving them from bank robbers] Relax folks, you're safe

Brendan:
Get away!

Margot:
Don't come near me!

Brooklyn:
[sarcastically] Don't gush all over us, it's embarrassing.

David Xanatos:
[Looking at all the statues in the city] Obviously, Demona and I need to have a little talk.

Lexington:
[looking at the statue of Elisa] It's a pretty good likeness.

Brooklyn:
I don't think so. The nose is all wrong.

Jeffery Robbins:
Hudson, what's going on? You know more than you're letting on.

Hudson:
Less than you think. But you and Gilly stay inside for now, Robbins. It's going to be a *bad* night.

Gillecomgain:
[after Demona unmasks him] Look closely creature. This was *your* handiwork. Done when I was just a boy. Remember?

Demona:
No.

Prince Duncan:
There will always be a hunter, my son. And there will always be the hunted.

Brooklyn:
[looking at some smashed statues] It's like the massacre at Castle Wyvern.

Goliath:
Has Demona learned *nothing*? *Every* life is precious.

Brooklyn:
[picking up some rubble] One of these could be Elisa.

Goliath:
NEVER! We are going to stop Demona's evil... once and for all!

The Weird Sisters:
Yes. She must be stopped. But remember your own words Goliath. Every life is precious. Take care not to become what you fight against. Vengance only begets a further cycle of more vengence.

Goliath:
Then you were partners in this sorcery.

David Xanatos:
I wanted to believe what she promised so I gave her access to the studio.

Goliath:
YOU FOOL! I should make you pay for all the lives she destroyed.

David Xanatos:
Do you want vengeance or a solution? This is bigger than either of us has ever faced. We'll have to work together to stop her. Truce?

Goliath:
[Exhales] Agreed. [Shakes Xanatos's hand]

[to his newborn child]

Duncan:
There will always be a hunter, my son... and there will always be the hunted.

Woman:
Everyone was turned to stone, like a bunch of statues.

Travis Marshall:
And why didn't you turn to stone.

Woman:
Because I *never* watch television.

Travis Marshall:
Right... Well thanks very much. Obviously these events have taken the heaviest toll on the most fragile amongst us. Back to the studio for an expert report on mass hypnosis.

Macbeth:
I say thee NAY weird sisters. Prince Canmore is destined to be king after Duncan.

Weird Sisters:
*You* would lecture *us* on *fate*?

Demona:
We must find another lair!

Demona's Second:
The hunting there was good.

Demona:
Yes. But we are still the prey!

Macbeth:
[Watching Demona in battle] You fight like a demon.

King Duncan:
Time for a little family reunion, cousin! [Approaches MacBeth, Demona lands in front of him and growls]

Macbeth:
NO! This *I* must do! [Demona steps aside] You brought this on yourself cos, I was loyal.

King Duncan:
You have a strange way of showing it.

Young Canmore:
You are are the cause of all this [Charges at Demona with a knife] You- you monster!

Demona:
[Demona grabs his wrist and throws away the knife] MacBeth has spared your life, boy. Don't throw it away!

Macbeth:
Humans will learn to respect you.

Demona:
I would rather they fear me.

Macbeth:
They'll do that too, Demona.

Demona:
"Demona," I like the sound of that.

Elisa Maza:
[to Xanatos] Demona's broadcast originated from Pack Media Studios. *You* own it! So as *usual* this is all *your* fault!

Owen Burnett:
Mr. Xanatos is trying to fix things. What are you doing to help? [Elisa tries to move past Owen, but he block her path, the Sun sets and they both turn to stone]

David Xanatos:
That's one way to settle an argument.

Goliath:
What's Elisa doing here?

Brooklyn:
She doesn't look happy.

David Xanatos:
Owen sometimes has that affect on people.

Demona:
But first, I'll take care of some unfinished business. [Approaches Elisa with a mace] I thought I'd rid myself of you long ago, human. Fortunately, that mistake is easily rectified.

Demona:
You're too late. You can't save them. No one can!

Macbeth:
I'm not here for them. I'm here for *you*. I want it over between us!

Macbeth:
Canmore, your father was an evil man who deserved his fate. But you were just a boy then, so I offer you one last opportunity for forgiveness and mercy.

Demona:
He will not require it. But *you* will!

Macbeth:
[Gasps] Demona? First desertion, and now betrayal! WHY?

Demona:
I merely offer a sample of what you planned for me.

Macbeth:
I planned for you to govern by my side. And now because of YOU, my kingdom is in flames!

Weird Sisters:
Poor MacBeth. Canmore was wrong about you and Demona. He said when one dies, both die. But when one lives, both live. And thus you both shall live. Eternally linked. Sharing each other's pain and anguish with no release until one destroys the other. Only then shall both finally perish. Together.

Macbeth:
I have hunted you through the centuries for my vengeance.

Demona:
Take off that mask. You're not fooling anyone, MacBeth.

Demona:
Let's not start that again. You blame me, I blame you. Aren't you tired of talking about it?

Macbeth:

Demona:
Then what? You know the rules. Killing me will get you nothing but your own death.

Macbeth:
After this long a life time. I have no fear of that. I have no desire to live in the world you're creating. Revenge is a dish best served cold. And I've waited for this meal for 900 years, Demona!

Goliath:
[as MacBeth is about to kill Demona] NO! Killing her won't solve anything! Death never does.

Goliath:

Demona:

Of course. But when the silent alarm brought the Tribal Police, I needed some excuse to get rid of them. Here's the *real* vandal and our target. [Indicates image on screen] When the time comes, don't miss.

Coyote 4.0:

Peter Maza:
I'm not real happy with this plan. I'm sworn to uphold the law, not help break it.

Elisa Maza:
Look at it this way, Dad. The Gargoyles don't legally exist, so legally, no one's trespassing.

Peter Maza:

Elisa Maza:

Beth Maza:
[Watching Angela and Goliath glide off] They're kind of... beautiful. But sort of... alien.

Elisa Maza:

Angela:
[checking on Goliath after he gets knocked down] Are you all right?

Goliath:
Not yet. [Goliath and Angela charge at Coyote 4.0]

Once more with feeling. [fires a blast at them] Don't quit your day job.

Beth Maza:
Elisa, look at him.

Elisa Maza:
I know. It's amazing.

Peter Maza:

Elisa Maza:
Dad, doesn't he remind you of someone you know?

Peter Maza:
Yeah! All the punks I've busted on the street in the last 20 years!

David Xanatos:
Long time no see Goliath. I'm flattered you showed up just so I could use you as bait.

Coyote 4.0:
This trough is filled with acid. In ten minutes, it's going to do a rather nasty job on that soil carving, not to mention your rugged good looks.

David Xanatos:
It's my first real stab at clich?d villainy. How am I doing?

Coyote Trickster:
Why shouldn't I help Xanatos? Who cares if he wants to destroy the soil carving dedicated to the Kichina Coyote? It's just old Indian stuff.

Beth Maza:
That's desecration! Coyote the Trickster is one of the most important figures in Native American Legend. His soil carving would be sacred!

Peter Maza:
Well the carving would have anthropological value at least. We should inform the Tribal Police.

Coyote Trickster:
Hey Pops, it's 1996, not 1896. Get with the program. Xanatos is bringing real jobs to the tribe and *real* money. If you close down his operation, you're living in the past. Me? I'm planning for the future.

David Xanatos:
[regarding Angela] She's quite lovely Goliath. You must be very proud.

Goliath:
Let her go! She's done nothing to you.

David Xanatos:
Actually neither of you has done anything that I hold a grudge over. Truth is I have no desire to kill you. But the death trap has to be real. I have to be prepared to follow through if I hope to bag my true quarry. For weeks, I've pretended to be on the verge of destroying the soil carving. But until I made up my mind to bulldoze it last night, I didn't get a nibble. My prey seems to know when I'm sincere.

Peter Maza:
Beings like Coyote do not exist!

Elisa Maza:
[Pointing to the gargoyles] Are these guys figments of your imagination?

Coyote Trickster:
How are you doing this? No machine can hold me!

David Xanatos:
This one can. Have you ever heard of the Cauldron of Life. It was supposed to grant me immortality. It fell short of my expectations, but I couldn't see so rare a find going to waste, so I melted it down, used it to reconstruct Coyote. My Coyote. The magic inherent in the iron allows it to hold on to you. Ironic isn't it, one Coyote catching another?

Coyote Trickster:
I should sue you for trademark infringement!

Goliath:
We're here for Coyote!

Coyote 4.0:
Right here!

Goliath:
The *other* one!

Coyote 4.0:
*Also* right here! [indicates his chest. Coyote Trickster bangs from inside Coyote 4.0]

Coyote Trickster:

Coyote 4.0:
I should warn you, I'm programmed for vengeance!

Coyote Trickster:
Prove it!

David Xanatos:
Goliath. I must say these last minute upsets you keep handing me are becoming... irritating! [Flies off]

Peter Maza:
I really don't know why I put this on.

Coyote Trickster:
Sure you do. You just have to admit it. You and I are connected Peter Maza. We have been since you took up my mask at the night dance so many years ago. When you left you took a part of me with you. I had to get you back.

Peter Maza:
Hi Pop. We sure did fight a lot, didn't we? I guess it was hard to admit that you might be right, even harder after you were gone. That would have meant admitting that I wasted all those years we were apart, years we could have shared. It's too late to say I'm sorry, I only wish there was some way to let you know how much I've always loved and respected you.

Elisa Maza:

[after Goliath has destroyed a cache of Xanatos's weapons]

[as the sun's about to rise] I'm afraid I have some bad news for you.

Goliath:
What is it? Speak quickly!

Owen Burnett:
Your friend, Elisa Maza, has been shot. They're not sure if she'll live. [Goliath gasps, the sun rises and he turns to stone]

Elisa Maza:
Sooner or later you're gonna slip up Tony, and when you do, I'll be there.

Tony Dracon:
Hey, I told you... I'm not the guy. And if I *was* the guy, you couldn't do anything about it. In fact, if I were to tell one of my associates here to sell off some... merchandise to raise some operating capital, you couldn't do anything about that either. Face it, sugar... you got nothing.

Hudson:
Movies, television, video games... these days it's hard to tell what's real and what's not.

Broadway:
Sorry, my fault. I was playing with the gun. Stupid of me. Hope I didn't break anything... Elisa? [Finds Elisa lying on the floor bleeding from a gunshot wound]

Peter Maza:
Any prints on the gun?

Maria Chavez:
Some. But so badly smudged they don't even look human. Whoever the shooter is, we'll find him. No one hits a cop and gets away with it. No one!

Goliath:
Keep fighting Elisa. Don't give up. Come back to us. Know that I will finish what you started. I will find the man who did this to you and I will make him pay!

Broadway:
[to Dracon's men] You're mine! All of you!

David Xanatos:
I love a woman with delicate wrists.

Elisa Maza:
You work with handcuffs as much as I do, you pick up a few tricks.

Elisa Maza:
And when the thunder passed, Goliath was gone.

Lexington:
Oh, and you should have heard his laugh. Made my hair stand on end, if I had any.

Hudson:
Hmm. That doesn't sound like the Goliath I know.

Elisa Maza:
Tell me about it.

Broadway:
No! Let's have *Goliath* tell us about it! Where is he?

Hudson:
He and Brooklyn are out on patrol. Least that's where he said he'd be.

Owen Burnett:
[as a statue is being stolen] Is this a plan you've neglected to mention?

David Xanatos:
No! Maybe Demona's behind this. MacBeth, perhaps, or Renard. I've never lacked formidable enemies. But be assured, whoever it was will pay most dearly!

Hired Thug:
What's with the tranquilizer gun? I've never seen a statue that needed to be put to sleep.

Dr. Anton Sevarius:
You have now.

David Xanatos:
You know, Anton, I'm not by nature a vengeful man...

[grabs Sevarius with one arm and holds him up against a wall]

Dr. Anton Sevarius:
[lets out a startled yell] No!

David Xanatos:
But your behavior has forced me to make an exception!

Thailog:
Goliath, it's you at last. I am Thailog.

Goliath:
What kind of abomination are you?

Thailog:
[growls] Same kind as you! It was *your* blood that spawned me!

Goliath:
MY BLOOD?

Elisa Maza:
Oh, my gosh! He's a clone! They grew him from a piece of you, like a cutting from a plant.

Goliath:
A piece of me? This thing IS ME! First Xanatos steals my home! And now he pieces out MY SOUL!

Thailog:
[to Elisa, after knocking out Goliath] And for the record, I'm more of a gargoyle than he'll *ever* be!

Goliath:
Life for a gargoyle isn't about profit. It's about protecting those you care about.

Thailog:
I considered caring about you. It took some effort, but I arranged for you to join this party because I planned on sharing the money with you. But our little... family reunion disappointed me, "father." So I've decided to *hate* you too!

Thailog:
[hearing Goliath roar] Now I know where I got the temper.

Goliath:
Go with them, Elisa, I must face Thailog... alone.

Elisa Maza:

[suddenly realizing who's behind the plot] Well, what do you know? The kid turned out to be a real chip off the old block.

Thailog:
[swooping down] Indeed he did!

[Knocks out both men]

Thailog:

Goliath:
Surely you know I am not in the habit of playing childish pranks, or laughing maniacally in the dark.

Hudson:
Do you even know *how* to laugh maniacally?

Dr. Anton Sevarius:
Fifty thousand down, as agreed. You'll receive the balance upon completion. I do hope you and your brood can deliver.

Hired Thug:
Don't sweat it, Dr. Sevarius. For the right price, we could lift the Venus di Milo out of the Louvre. But it would be easier at night.

Dr. Anton Sevarius:
No, it wouldn't. Trust me on that.

Dr. Anton Sevarius:
But I don't understand, sir. What did I do wrong?

David Xanatos:
Kidnapping, extortion, betrayal. Where do you want me to start?

Dr. Anton Sevarius:
[quietly] Oh I get it, we're being watched. Is that it? Very well.

[loudly]

Yes, I betrayed you! You robbed me of my greatest creation, my ultimate achievement! I only took back what was mine!

Broadway:
Whoa, that was close.

Lexington:
You okay, Elisa? What happened?

Elisa Maza:
I'm not sure. Something forced me off the...

[Lightning flashes and in the distance they see a figure]

Elisa Maza:
Goliath?

David Xanatos:
I'm impressed, Thailog. You played Sevarius like a harp. But if money was the bottom line, why not just ask? We could have come to an arrangement.

Thailog:
Maybe on your terms, not mine. Did you really expect me to spend my life as your stooge and the doctor's private guinea pig? You didn't go to all this trouble just to raise a fool.

Dr. Anton Sevarius:
Typical. You do, and do, and do for them, and what happens? They twist the knife in you!

[He gasps as Thailog grabs hold of him]

Thailog:
Don't tempt me.

Thailog:
Time to go. I've got plans of my own, and twenty million dollars to see them through. [laughs evily]

Dr. Anton Sevarius:
[sarcastic] So, how are you going to spend it? Stroll into a bank and open a checking account?

Thailog:

You know Demona?

MacBeth:
Know her? I named her!

Owen Burnett:
Mr MacBeth, Mr Xanatos hired you to fumigate his castle, not destroy it.

And who's going to stop us? You?

Owen Burnett:
[Removes his glasses] Indeed. [Tosses Hudson] You're trespassing!

Goliath:
I have a message for you master. We're leaving. But we'll be back... We'll be back to reclaim that which is *ours*!

Owen Burnett:
I will deliver the message.

Goliath:
What are you doing here? Why aren't you guarding our home?

Elisa Maza:
You don't live there any more.

Goliath:
[getting angry] WHAT?

Elisa Maza:
I found you a new home.

Goliath:
HOW DARE YOU! I told you that castle IS OUR HOME!

Broadway:
NO, Goliath! She's right! It's *suicide* to stay there.

Hudson:
Lad, they're right, you know. It's just a place of stone and wood. Home is more than that Goliath. Home is the six of us. Wherever we can be together and safe. *That's* our home

David Xanatos:
So now you know my weakness.

Goliath:
Only you would regard love as a weakness.

David Xanatos:
Marry me.

Fox Renard-Xanatos:
Are you serious?

David Xanatos:
We're genetically compatible, highly intelligent, and have the same goals.

Goliath:
You could've been hurt. I should've been with you.

Elisa Maza:
But you can't. Any more that I can be here guarding you all day long. Everyone's vulnerable, Goliath. But it helps knowing someone cares.

David Xanatos:
Incredible. If I'd have known the Eye of Odin had that kind of power, I never would have just given it away. Oh well, spilt milk. Let's move on to plan B.

Elisa Maza:
[pointing her weapon at Xanatos] You're going nowhere, Xanatos!

David Xanatos:
Sorry, business. You understand. [flies off]

Elisa Maza:
[to Goliath] Don't listen to him. It's a trick! He couldn't tell the truth if his life depended on it!

David Xanatos:
But my life doesn't depend on this. It's Fox's life we're talking about.

Goliath:
I have no more love for Fox than for you. Even if what you say is true, why should I help her?

David Xanatos:
Because you know what it means to lose some you love.

Elisa Maza:
Don't even *think* about it, Goliath! Can't you see this *is* his plan D? If it fails he'll move on to E or F.

Goliath:

Actually Mr. Xanatos, I believe he's right. You've never looked more heroic.

A momentary lapse, I assure you.

Lexington:

Goliath:

Goliath:

Goliath:

So this Golem is a protector?

Max Loew:
Yes. But the spell to awaken him has been lost for 400 years. The golem sat lifeless in this room, until tonight. When it was stolen by Tomas Brod. And Brod's the reason we need the golem so badly now. He and his criminal mob are making life impossible for the innocent law-abiding. I failed to stop him. This is all my fault.

Goliath:
NO! Brod is to blame!... And possibly on other. [Starts to leave]

Angela:

Goliath:
To talk to someone I *thought* I knew.

Halcyon Renard:

Goliath:

Halcyon Renard:
Integrity is a luxury I can no longer afford. My illness has seen to that. I discovered an incantation which will transfer my soul into the golem. It is my las chance to move... To live again.

[Elisa throws a spear and heavily damages Coyote]

This can't be what Xanatos had in mind.

Jackal:
[laughing] It's not.

[Destroys Coyote]

Jackal:

[to the Emir] If you can stop this, you must act. I know you grieve for your son, but we've all lost someone we care for. Must I lose my daughter to prove this is evil? [the Emir is silent] Then we will stop him *without* you! Now, while he is distracted!

[the gargoyles attack Jackal but he easily fends off their attack]

Jackal:
You cannot stop me, you fools! I AM DEATH!

Elisa Maza:
And the Emir... what do you think happened to him?

Goliath:
If there is any justice in this world or the next, he's with his son now. at rest.

Angela:
What is this place?

Coyote:
A mastaba or burial chamber. The perfect resting place for you.

Elisa Maza:

Hyena:

I can't see how we're doing any good here. We should be looking for Hyena and Jackal!

Broadway:
Oh give it a rest! It's more important now to help Elisa.

Brooklyn:

I've heard a lot of wild things about New York, like alligators in the sewers.

Elisa Maza:

[after the gargoyles stop a subway robbery]

The pictures I've seen of this castle had gargoyles on the parapets.

Do you think the thieves will really try to rob this place again?

Elisa Maza:
[referring to the wound on Brookly's arm] Good as new I see.

Brooklyn:
Yep, we call it the concrete-cure-all.

Brooklyn:
[watching someone break in to a warehouse] Stay down. We've got the element of surprise. No sense in giving it away. [the suspect rips off the door. Revealing the theif's identity] IT'S DEMONA! [Brooklyn goes after her]

Broadway:
So much for the element of surprise.

Lexington:
Let's go.

Brooklyn:
[after Demona gets away from them] So, who wants to explain this to Goliath? [Lexington and Broadway both point to Brooklyn]

Hunter:
This isn't over, Demon! My family has hunted you for over five hundred years! If I fail, then my son will take up the hunt, and his son in turn! Even if it takes another 500 years, the hunt won't end until the last gargoyle dies!

Jason Canmore:
Our father spent his *life* hunting the Demon! We vowed to destroy her and her monstrous race, even it takes a hundred years!

Robyn Canmore:
I'd prefer to get it over with tonight, Jason, if you don't mind!

Goliath:
She lives... Thanks to you.

Elisa Maza:
CPR the gift that keep on giving.

Goliath:
They call themselves Hunters. But soon, they will be prey... *my* prey!

Jason Canmore:

Demona:
They hunted me for ten centuries. It's time to put an end to it!

Lexington:
Those three are immortal like you?

Demona:
No. The vendetta passes from generation to generation. They wiped out the last gargoyles in Scotland. And for a thousand years they have hunted me. Why, I have no idea.

Goliath:
They nearly killed our daughter.

Demona:
They will pay!

Goliath:
I do not want to escape. I want vengeance!

Demona:
Perhaps you can have a little of both.

Goliath:
There's no such thing as a "little vengeance."

Demona:
At last you're thinking like a true gargoyle. But you're letting your anger cloud your judgement. We're on their turf, and we've lost the element of surprise. Escape is the priority now.

David Xanatos:
Of course, they're safe detective. Goliath just saved the world. More importantly, he saved my son. The least I can do is reinstate his clan to their ancestral home.

Elisa Maza:
What's the catch, Xanatos?

David Xanatos:
No catches, no tricks, no strings. The feud is over, detective. He's waiting for you.

Goliath:
So things have come full circle.

Elisa Maza:

Matt Bluestone:
All right. Signal the choppers, we're going in. But I want them alive!

[caught between two helicopters] We're surrounded. [the police fire at them. Xanatos opens his helicopter]

It appears we have no choice.

Jason Canmore:

Elisa Maza:
Severed spine. Paralyzed from the waist down. I'm sorry.

Jason Canmore:
I'm not too thrilled myself. But it's not my body that needs the most healing.

Elisa Maza:

I disagree. If anything, Vogel's sabotage demonstrates the folly of placing all of one's trust in single-minded automotons. Automotons know nothing of betrayal or honor. They know only what they're programmed to know. Only living beings possess the ability to change, and make new choices. Ultimately, Vogel chose honor.

[Takes Renard's hand and puts it on her stomach] Well maybe you'll have better luck relating to the next generation.

Preston Vogol:

Broadway:
When are they coming back?

Hudson:
Where are they?

Griff:
I met up with Goliath in London.

Broadway:
Well, Elisa's mother saw them in Nigeria.

Brooklyn:
Halcyon Renard saw them in Prague.

King Arthur:
I met them in Avalon. Where Elisa awakened me from my enchanted sleep. Only Avalon knows when they will return.

Lady of the Lake:
I had not expected see you for some time, Arthur Pendragon. What would you have of me?

King Arthur:
[Kneeling before the Lady of the Lake] I need my sword, Lady. I am not whole without Excalibur.

Lady of the Lake:
Excalibur serves the king who claims it, Pendragon.

King Arthur:

Lady of the Lake:
This is not Britain, but a far larger stage. Still the world needs a leader. And the leader needs this sword. But you must prove you worth!

Hudson:
That looked like a maze. There are no mazes in Manhattan.

Banquo:
Hey boss, you were a king, and you've been alive a long time.

MacBeth:

Banquo:
You can come out now, Old Timer. There's no way you can outrun me. And besides, you aren't even armed!

[Hudson knocks him off his sky-cycle and draws his sword]

Hudson:

MacBeth:
Ha! Your time has passed, Arthur Pendragon! MacBeth, son of Findleach, is the one true king!

Griff:
NO! This is wrong!

MacBeth:
You fool! If you hadn't broken the sword, I'd have slain this beast!

King Arthur:
It was not the one!

MacBeth:
I have been a king too long to serve *any* man. But if you ever need me to stand by your side, I will come. [Arthur and MacBeth shake hands]

[after trapping Duane under a tree, Broadway prepares to fly off and help Griff]

[menacing] Now you stay put.

Banquo:
[small voice] No problem.

MacBeth:
I freed the sword from the stone. An *honest* man would recognize his true king, and yield.

King Arthur:
You are right. It is a hard thing...

[Kneels]

King Arthur:
But I yield.

Griff:
[runs to Arthur's side] Arthur, no! Fight for it! YOU are the once and future king!

[last lines]

King Arthur:
I will stay through the day. But tomorrow night, I must begin another quest: to find my friend and teacher, Merlin. And somehow, I must get Griff back to London.

Griff:
The truth is, I'd rather stay with you.

King Arthur:
[turns his back] Only a knighted champion can travel with me now.

Griff:
[downcast] Yes. Well, I understand, of course. And it's been an adventure, a story for the hatchlings, someday...

[Arthur draws his sword and puts a hand on Griff's shoulder]

King Arthur:
I could not ask for a better champion at my side.

[Glowing, Griff kneels. Arthur touches his shoulder with Excalibur]

King Arthur:
By my hand, and by this sword, I name thee knight: Sir Griff.

David Xanatos:
[after knocking out Coldstone] Some day, Coldstone. You'll thank me for this.

Coldstone:
[Coldstone's head is unattached from his body. Xanatos is leaving the room] Wait! You're not going to leave me like this!

David Xanatos:
We'll get back to you Coldstone. Meantime, chin up.

Brooklyn:
[to Goliath] Aren't you forgetting personality number three, the one that tried to wipe us off the planet?

Lexington:
Goliath, since when do you cast magic spells?

Goliath:
Let's just say I learned a trick or two on Avalon.

Goliath:
Well your first magic lesson has officially begun. [Goliath changes to Puck to Alexander]

Puck:
My boy, welcome to Soul Transference 101.

Brooklyn:
I feel *so* sorry for you two. How feeble the electric illusions of cyberspace must seem, now that you have another taste of *true* sensation.

Angela:
We appreciate your concern but we are resigned to our fate.

Broadway:
At least when we return to Coldstone, we'll finally be rid of my evil brother.

Brooklyn:
Oh, that's a plus all right. But still it's such a shame you cannot keep the bodies you are in now. Yes, indeed, a crying shame.

Goliath:
After we had helped to save his son Alexander, I had hoped Xanatos was sincere when he called a truce.

Coldstone:
Sincerity is a virtue men like Xanatos know little about.

Lexington:
Nothing is clear to me tonight. I feel like I've been in a haze. How could Goliath leave Coldstone with us then return an hour later and be surprised to see him? And-and what's going to happen to - to Broadway and Angela?

Brooklyn:
Those are very good questions. [Knocks out Lexington. and laughs evilly] I have a feeling you won't like the answers.

Goliath:
[as he's hanging upside down watching others fight] Will someone tell me WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?

Coldstone:
Really Golaith, haven't you guessed? This was all done for your benefit. Xanatos wanted to reward you for saving his son by helping your dear brother. Coldsteel and Coldfire were manufactured to house Coldstone's spare personalities. But Broadway, Angela, and Brooklyn wound up with them instead.

Goliath:
If we could only get free and help them.

Hudson:
I think we're about to. Lexington! Get us down lad! [Lexington frees Hudson who falls to the ground]

Goliath:
I suppose that's one way to do it.

Brooklyn:
Actually, I'm a bit disappointed in Brooklyn's fighting skills. Xanatos's robot might have been a better deal after all. Look it even heals itself. I wouldn't mind trading possession of this *scrawny* gargoyle for that!

Coldsteel:
The raw energy. The unbridled power. I AM COLDSTEEL! And it seems I am surrounded. [as he's flying away] Try not to miss me too much. I'll be back!

Brooklyn:
This "scrawny" gargoyle will be waiting!

Angela:

Matt Bluestone:

Elisa Maza:

I still don't understand how Dracon could ever believe that *you* would turn to a life of crime.

I guess the corrupted are the first to believe that somebody else can be corrupted. And it's not impossible. None of us are perfect, that's why we need protection, even from ourselves sometimes.

Goliath:

Broadway:

Broadway:

Elisa Maza:

Stay back! [pulls out her weapon and aims at Goliath]

[Goliath picks up Elisa] Elisa stop struggling. I am Goliath. We are friends.

Goliath:
[Goliath jumps out the window and starts gliding] You may want to reconsider your request.

Elisa Maza:
Oh, we're going to die!

Goliath:
I will not let anything harm you.

Elisa Maza:
Whoa, Tiny, you mean there's more than one of you?

Goliath:
My name is not "Tiny." I am Goliath! Think - the castle, Xanatos, gargoyles.

Elisa Maza:

Angela:
How many ways can I say it: we mean you no harm... It's no use Bronx. He doesn't understand a word I say.

Yes. Well we haven't encountered the Holy Grail, yet.

Elisa Maza:
It's too much. Even with you standing here as proof, it's too much! I can't even remember what my parents look like, and you expect me to trust you?

Goliath:
Trust you instincts, Elisa. I always have.

Elisa Maza:
Instincts? So far all I've got are doubts, and right now they're mostly about you! How can I be sure we're even on the same side? How do I know you didn't cause my amnesia to gain my trust? [Elisa runs off]

Elisa Maza:
And to think I was starting to trust this Goliath.

Nokkar:
The hardships of the Galactic War taught me long ago that trust is a rare and precious commodity, not to be given lightly.

I can't do that! Maybe I'm missing some memories, but I still have my instincts. And they tell me these creatures are my friends.

And you trust these instincts enough to risk your life, your world?

Though we come from different worlds, we have our mission in common. We both are protectors, guardians, sentinels.

[the gargolyes have turned to stone and Elisa is controlling the skiff] For all Nokkar knows his Galactic War could have ended centuries ago. And yet he'll stay at his post ever vigilant. I can't remember yet if I've got that sense of duty. But I've got a feeling you guys do.

The Archmage made what we thought was his final stand in the mouth of this cave. [Picking up an axe] The Vikings camped here the night they attacked our home and shattered my clan. On yon cliff, I had to choose between life and revenge, I chose to save Katherine, thus Hakon and the Captain of the Guard fell to their deaths. But not at my hands.

Angela:
You chose correctly Goliath. With the Princess, my rookery kin and I would never have been hatched.

Goliath:
Still I wanted revenge.

Goliath:
What-What do you see? [pointing to some drawings]

Angela:
I see the Archmage attacking a gargoyle.

Elisa Maza:
Why? What do you see?

Goliath:
I saw - old fears. That's all!

Elisa Maza:
[to Angela] This place is full of bad memories. Old wounds bleed as bright as new ones some times. He'll be all right... I hope.

Goliath:
Stay away! [a disembodied voice to Goliath] You are the betrayer! [to Angela and Elisa] You're in danger from me! [runs off]

Demona:
[disembodied voice] Goliath join me in the dark.

Goliath:
No. Leave me alone!

Demona:
Goliath, don't abandon us.

Hakon:
[disembodied voice] You've finally figured it out, eh?

Goliath:
That voice.

Hakon:
[appearing] It doesn't matter, you'll never leave this cavern alive. Or *dead* for that matter!

Captain of the Guard:
Aye and for 10 times 100 year, our spirits have languished in this stinking hole! Perhaps it was the magic of this place or maybe the just the strength of our *hatred* that kept us here!

Hakon:
As much as we hated each other, we hated YOU a thousand time more! You sent us to our deaths, Goliath! And now you'll help us live again!

Goliath:
What good is life without honor?

Hakon:
We've hated Goliath for 1000 years!

Captain of the Guard:
Nay! I've hated MYSELF for betraying him!

Hakon:
Back off!

Captain of the Guard:
And now I've been given a chance to atone!

Angela:
What do you think happened to Hakon?

Goliath:
He has made his fate, Angela. Whatever it might be.

Hakon:
Don't leave me here alone! Not without anyone to hate!

Demona:
You don't know the depths to which humanity can sink, my young friend. But I do. Over the centuries I've seen horrors that would blast your soul! Come let me show you what mankind is really like.

Lexington:
Hey! What happened to the motorcycle?

Brooklyn:
Um... it... blew up.

Lexington:
Oh. WHAT?

Demona:
[as she's fighting Goliath who's still under a spell] Even with no will of your own, you're a force to be reckoned with.

Demona:
Goliath, destroy him! I hold the book, you *must* obey me!

Brooklyn:
You hold the book, Demona. But *I* hold the spell! Goliath take her!

Brooklyn:
Oh, not good. Not good.

Broadway:
Isn't it finished yet?

Brooklyn:
Come on. You've ridden one before.

Lexington:
You've ridden a horse before, could you build one from scratch?

Morgan:
[after Brooklyn evades them] You want to call that in?

Police Officer:

Morgan:

Demona:
Don't be afraid. I just want to talk.

Brooklyn:
Yeah. Last time we met you just wanted to blow me away with a bazooka.

Demona:

Brooklyn:
This is goodbye. [Prepares to glide off]

Demona:
Wait, please! I'm sorry Brooklyn. I know I shouldn't have shot at you. I was crazy with grief and rage. If you only knew what I've gone through for hundreds of years dealing with the humans.

Brooklyn:
Hundreds of years. I thought you were under the sleep spell like we were.

Demona:
It's a long story. Centuries long. I'd like to tell you about it. If you'll let me.

Brooklyn:
I don't trust you, Demona.

Brooklyn:
But not all humans are like that. Elisa is our friend.

Demona:
Perhaps the policewoman is the exception that proves the rule. But can she keep you safe from the rest of humanity? Only we can protect each other, Brooklyn. We must be united and strong. And willing to deal with the humans as they would deal with us! Goliath thinks we can hide amidst the humans and hope for their understanding. This is not possible.

Elisa Maza:
[after Goliath turns to stone] That's one way of avoiding a conversation.

Goliath:
Demona! So you did survive.

Demona:

Brooklyn:
I was just trying to fit in!

Biker:

Elisa Maza:

...Talon, and the other mutates... are back with Xanatos. I've seen them flying to and from the Erie Building

Elisa Maza:
Xanatos! Why didn't you tell me?

Goliath:
There didn't seem to be anything you or I could do. Talon's made his choice. I had hoped to spare you this pain.

Elisa Maza:
I don't accept that! We've got to get him away from Xanatos! I need to see my brother NOW!

Elisa Maza:
[Talon's attack Goliath] Derek, please.

Talon:
Stand away from him, Elisa. He's my enemy!

Maggie Reed:
And she's your sister... Are you going to attack her too?

Talon:
Sevarius is dead. Along with our hopes of ever being human again!

Elisa Maza:
Dead? Nobody died that night.

Talon:
I *saw* it!

Elisa Maza:
Where Xanatos is involved, what you see isn't always the truth!

Talon:
Sevarius is lucky he's dead! Watch your back Goliath! She won't always be there, and I'm *coming* for you!

Maggie Reed:
But what if she's right? What if Sevarius *is* alive?

Talon:
If he is, he won't be for long.

Elisa Maza:
[Seeing a winged figure in the distance] Goliath- my Guardian Angel.

Vinnie:

Elisa Maza:
Nothing. Mind if I take a look around?

Dr. Anton Sevarius:
What do you mean "as long as necessary?" It could take years to develop a cure. You can't keep me locked up forever! [His captor growls] I can't begin to start without my briefcase, all my notes are in it. [His captor gives him his briefcase] All right you may open the door, I will make the attempt.

Fang:
Come back here and fight like a man!

Brooklyn:
I'm not a man, I'm a GARGOYLE!

Brooklyn:
Goliath and I were there to save you not hurt you. If Sevarius has a partner, it must be Xanatos.

Maggie Reed:
There you go again! Mr. Xanatos is our only chance for a cure. If you'd lie about him, you'd lie about *anything*!

Brooklyn:
So now I have to prove I'm trustworthy, huh? [frees the mutates] You're free to go. Return to Xanatos if you want, but *don't* turn your back on him!

Dr. Anton Sevarius:
I don't know if this will work. I'm not used to working in such primitive conditions.

Goliath:
Just get back to work, before conditions really *do* get primitive!

Elisa Maza:
Goliath, you've kidnapped this man! What were you thinking?

Goliath:
You were in so much pain. I couldn't stand by and do nothing Besides I feared what would happen if Talon got to Sevarius first. I doubt if the Doctor would have survived long enough to find a cure.

Elisa Maza:
We're not going to find a cure this way either! We can't trust Sevarius. How do we know the cure is safe? Who are we going to test it on? Look I know your heart was in the right place, but this isn't the answer. Even if it works, the ends can justify the means. That's the way Xanatos behaves, not you.

Goliath:
You're right of course. We'll let him go.

Dr. Anton Sevarius:
This is the antidote. There's only enough for one. But I can make more for each of you. All I want in return is my safety and my freedom.

Talon:
I'm long past caring about your antidotes!

Fang:

Talon:

Maggie Reed:

[Maggie wants to drink Sevarius's cure] Any risk is better than living as a monster!

[Looking at Preston Vogel and Owen Burnett] Are you two related?

Preston Vogel:

Anastasia Renard:
It's no longer Renard, I have remarried.

Halcyon Renard:

Owen Burnett:

Lexington:

Broadway:

Goliath:

Goliath:
This is Angela, my daughter.

Hudson:
Welcome to our clan, child. [Hugs Angela] Where did you find her?

Goliath:
On Avalon with the rest of our clan's eggs, all hatched and grown. But that's not all. We found gargoyles in Japan, Guatemala, London.

Hudson:
Yes. We met your friend Griff. But he didn't say anything about gargoyles surviving across the world. We're not the last. We're not alone.

David Xanatos:
Did you know that Anastaia was actually Titania?

Owen Burnett:
I did.

David Xanatos:
Then you knew that she came to steal my son!

Owen Burnett:
No. But I feared it!

Owen Burnett:
There are two things to remember: One. Energy is energy where generated by science or sorcery. Two. Oberon is vulnerable to iron. His magicks are powerless against it.

David Xanatos:

Owen Burnett:

Elisa Maza:
[Speaking of her cat] It was really nice of Broadway and Hudson to take care of him while I was gone.

Goliath:

Elisa Maza:

Elisa Maza:

[after Petros Xanatos hits him with an iron harpoon] I am vulnerable to iron. You have hurt me. Hurting me was a mistake!

Oberon:
Finally, all the nuisances have been eliminated.

Owen Burnett:
[entering] I'm afraid, my lord, there's one more nuisance left.

Oberon:
Do you think a stone fist will stop me, human?

David Xanatos:
Owen, I knew you'd come back.

Owen Burnett:
It was against my better judgment, Mr. Xanatos, I assure you. Nevertheless...

[Owen starts to spin and changes]

Puck:

Fox:

[Goliath peers through the bushes and watches some fighting] A war zone indeed.

Elisa Maza:
A clan in the middle of a rain forest, is that possible?

Goliath:
Long ago there were clans all over the world. But I was not aware any of them had survived.

They still might not survive. LOOK! [spots Hyena and Jackal]

[after capturing two native gargoyles] We still have to find out how many more of the vermin remain.

Goliath:
[Goliath swoops down and hits Jackal] YOU'RE the only vermin here!

Jackal:
[Rises as he watches Goliath run off] Manhattan, Egypt and now Guatemala! Must Goliath follow us *everywhere*?

Hyena:
Hey, he's a fan. And we always make time for fans. [laughs]

Angela:

Obsidiana:
Our domain is teeming with curative wonders, but each time humans cut down more trees such medicines are lost forever.

Obsidiana:
[Referring to their Pyramid] It was built by the ancient Mayan tribe that ruled this domain 1000 years ago.

Zafiro:
The summit provides a vantage from which we can watch the entire forest day and night.

Goliath:
*Day* and night?

Obsidiana:
It is true, Goliath. These magic pendants prevent the sun from turning us to stone.

Obsidiana:
Where is Zafiro taking Elisa?

Jade:
She wanted to go on patrol with him to see more of the forest.

Obsidiana:
She is unusual for a human. I like her.

Zafiro:
We make it a practice to never harm the locals, only frighten them.

Elisa Maza:
They're farmers, if they don't cut down at least a few trees, they can't grow food to feed their families.

Goliath:
In your world, Elisa, not theirs. And what's left of theirs is dwindling.

Elisa Maza:

Lexington:

She also said it was magic. Maybe Hyena wanted to use it to cast an evil spell.

And it could still fall into the wrong hands... We should probably destroy it.

Zafiro:
If only we could as easily banish all those who pose a threat to the green. But there are far too many to ever fully conquer.

Obsidiana:
I just wish there was something more we could do.

Elisa Maza:
Maybe there is. This is a long shot. But I'm getting an idea. [On the gondola towing a raft] They think they can still make a difference here. That's why Zafiro and Obsidiana are staying behind. While Jade and Turquesa make sure the sample they transplant in Avalon will grow and thrive.

Goliath:

[as Bronx is fighting Crom-Cruach] What's that?

Goliath:
It's got Bronx!

Elisa Maza:
More like Bronx has it!

Rory:
He's yours isn't he? Well thanks for the loan of him. I had a dog like him once, a long time ago when I was special.

Angela:
It would seem you still are.

Rory:
Yes! And there's no training school for this kind of work, I'd wager. Not easy is it?

Goliath:
Being a hero rarely is.

Goliath:
[Elisa's now a gargoyle] I never realized, when you were human, how beautiful you were.

Elisa maza:
You mean, you thought I was ugly?

Goliath:
[after everyone's back to normal] Elisa I...

Elisa maza:
I know. You're relieved as I am that things are back to normal.

Goliath:
That's not what I was going to say. [Elisa puts her hand over his mouth the sun rises and he turns into a statue]

Elisa maza:
I know. But that's the way it is.

Puck:
Fearsome creature who would stay/Unchanged by the light of day/ Remain you thus throughout the night/Be thou flesh by dawn's fair light.

Demona:
That's it! That's what I want! If you cannot get rid of all the humans, then at least rid me of that human: Elisa Maza!

Puck:
Did you say *that* human or that *human*?

[Demona glares at him]

Puck:
Oh, never mind, I'll figure it out. This just might be fun after all.

Puck:
Is this how you welcome all your guests?

Demona:
Any who would turn on me. And you're not a guest. You serve the human, now you can serve me.

Puck:
Serving humans is fun, they have a sense of humor. You have none.

Demona:
Perhaps not, Puck, but I have you.

Demona:
I want you to get rid of the humans. ALL of them.

Puck:
Does this look like Aladdin's lamp? I have limits, after all.

Elisa Maza:
Shapeshifters, elves, fairies... you mean they're real?

Hudson:
As real as I am, if the stories be true.

Elisa Maza:
Third race?

Broadway:
You know. Gargoyles, humans, and Oberon's children.

Lexington:
I thought everyone knew this.

Brooklyn:
Yeah. That guy Shakespeare wrote a play about them. "A Midsummer Night's Dream".

Demona:
I would know you no matter what your form, Goliath! Take care of them Puck.

Puck:
As you wish... Humans love a battle hearty/So does Puck, come on, let's party!

Elisa maza:
I'll never get the hang of jumping off rooftops.

Goliath:
I'll *always* be there to catch you. [jumps off roof and hovers] See? It's easy.

Puck:
[as Bronx is about to attack him] Let's improve your looks. [Changes Bronx into a dog] Oh, should've tried a chihuahua.

[last lines; after Puck has cast a spell that will let Demona walk in sunlight, without turning to stone]

Demona:
The sun... it's glorious! I never thought that it could feel so good.

[She walks past a mirror in her house, and sees that Puck has transformed her into a human woman]

Demona:
Nooooo!

[glass shatters]

Demona:
[mulling over her wish] I'm too vulnerable during the day. I don't want to turn to stone anymore.

Puck:
Of course! You want to stroll down Fifth Avenue in the sunshine. I'm sure you'll fit right in.

Puck:
What is it you *really* want?

[He touches the mirror, and an image of Goliath appears]

Puck:
How quaint. After all these centuries, you're still carrying a torch. Well, if that's you want, I can make him love you again. Piece of cake... given your charming personality.

Goliath:
It ends now, Puck. Change everyone back to the way they were before Demona summoned you. Do it, and you win your freedom.

Puck:
It will be my pleasure. But afterwards. I'm going to need a very *long* nap. First the humans I'll attend.

[the city turns back to normal, then Elisa turns back to normal]

Puck:
Then the gargoyles will I mend. If his efforts you commend, free Puck, let him homeward wend.

Goliath:
[breaks Puck's chain] You're free.

Demona:
You're no match for me as a pitiful human.

Goliath:
My strength has never depended on brute force.

[Elisa knocks Demona down]

Goliath:
But on true friends.

Brooklyn:
Wouldn't it be great to be a shape shifter?

Lexington:
We wouldn't have to hide. We could fit in anywhere.

Broadway:
We could find new friends, maybe even... love.

Hudson:
Be careful what you wish for lad.

Elisa Maza:
You guys better get out of sight. No telling how they'll react to gargoyles. [the Gargoyles hide in the bushes] Hi there I was just in the neighborhood and...

Helios:
Can it be? It looks like - a HUMAN!

Taurus:
I *knew* this day was coming!

Elisa Maza:
I don't mean you any harm.

Elisa Maza:
This isn't fair! I haven't done anything.

Taurus:
You are human and you are trespassing on New Olympus.

Elisa Maza:
But...

Taurus:
I don't make the laws. I just *enforce* them.

Goliath:
This is Elisa Maza. She is not guilty of any crime.

Ekidna:
ALL humans are guilty. Thousands of years ago Olympians walked among humans. But because of the way we looked, we were shunned - hunted.

Boreas:
Our ancestors fled the Human World and created the Kingdom of New Olympus.

Elisa Maza:
But it's not fair to blame all humans for something that happened thousands of years ago. Give me a chance!

Boreas:
I believe you are sincere, but I cannot afford to any any chances with my people's safety.

Boreas:
Here is my decision: I do believe the human has come to harm us. However I cannot allow her to return to the outside world. The temptation to reveal our secret would be too great. You gargoyles may leave New Olympus. But the human shall remain as our guest... permanently.

Elisa Maza:
[Elisa gasps] You've gotta be kidding.

Boreas:
I hope that over time you will come to feel at home here Elisa Maza.

Goliath:
She did not start this!

Taurus:
I do not care who started it! I know who caused it!

Elisa Maza:
You've got some funny ideas about justice around here.

Taurus:
My job is keeping the peace. And that's *exactly* what I intend to do.

Elisa Maza:
[Passing a cell with someone who looks like Taurus] You put your *own father* in jail?

Taurus:
*That* is *not* my father!

Proteus:
[Changing to his true form] He's right of course. Something happened to his father... Oh yes, I remember... I murdered him.

Proteus:
[after Goliath opens Proteus's cell] Nice work.

Goliath:
Who are you? What have you done with Elisa?

Proteus:
It's a long story. [Knocks out Goliath] I wouldn't want to bore you.

Helios:
Taurus! The human has escaped. Kiron said he was ambushed by the big gargoyle. They escaped together!

Taurus:
Not from *my* jail they haven't!

Taurus:
I don't understand. You didn't have to come back here. You could have escaped.

Elisa Maza:
With my friends turned to stone? Besides what kind of cop would I be if I let a slime like Proteus get away.

Taurus:
You are definitely *not* like the humans of legend.

Elisa Maza:
I'll choose to take that as a compliment.

Taurus:
This is for my FATHER! [Knocks out Proteus]

Taurus:
She was the first human to visit New Olympus in 2000 years. And she probably won't be the last. We're not going to be able to hide forever.

Boreas:
Yes. The time will soon come when the world will have to face the New Olympians.

Lexington:
Boy, the city sure is different when it snows.

Brooklyn:
Yeah. It's colder.

Hudson:
Not a bad life, all things considered. [the clan gets attacked]

Brooklyn:
Yeah, too bad he wants to *end* it!

Lexington:
I don't believe it.

Hudson:
Believe it lad, MacBeth's dead.

Goliath:
I had no choice. He would've killed the four of you.

Hudson:
No one's questioning you, Goliath. We'd best prepare to sleep here, dawn's upon us.

Brooklyn:
Goliath, what if there is no cure?

Goliath:
There is a cure. There *must* be!

Broadway:
I'm worried, even if Goliath finds something at MacBeth's place, how are we going to make it work. None of us are sorcerers.

Brooklyn:
Let's just focus on protecting Hudson. We can't let anything happen to him.

Hudson:
You can't keep me in here forever! [Touches his cage and gets shocked] I'll get out! Do you hear? I'll get out!

Hudson:
About time you came back. Why did you kidnap me? What do you want of me?

David Xanatos:
Nothing much, Hudson, just your skin.

Hudson:
[holding his sword] You'll have the devil's own task getting it.

David Xanatos:
Really? [presses a button collects some stone from the bottom of Hudson's cage] See it wasn't as hard as you made it sound.

David Xanatos:
The Cauldron of Life. The legend says whoever bathes in it will live as long as the mountain stones.

Hudson:
Ah you wish to be... immortal.

David Xanatos:
Of course, what good are all the riches on Earth, if Fox and I can't enjoy them forever?

Hudson:
These ancient talismens are often dangerous, Xanatos. I would've thought your experience with the Eye of Odin would've taught you that.

David Xanatos:
You could be right. Maybe it would be a good idea to test the brew first. Any volunteers?

David Xanatos:
If the procedure is successful, I'll release you.

Hudson:
And if it isn't?

David Xanatos:
Then you'll have the privilege of giving your life for science.

Hudson:
My clan will never rest until they know where I am!

David Xanatos:
But they already know where you are. [holds up a model of Hudson] This is just a sculpture's model. The real thing is life sized, and life like.

Hudson:
What's in this for you.

Owen Burnett:
Service is its own reward. I would've thought you knew that.

Goliath:
There is only one other hope. We need a sorceress. We need Demona. You are a detective. You must help us find her.

Elisa Maza:
Goliath, you know I'd do anything to help. But *honestly* I wouldn't even know where to start looking.

Goliath:
We won't give up!

Elisa Maza:
We won't! I promise!

Hudson:
Geting old terrifies you, doesn't it?

David Xanatos:
Nothing terrifies me. Because nothing is beyond my ability to change. What about you? Still sitting in front of a television set. You're of little use to your clan. You may as well be of some use to me.

Hudson:
Open this cage, and I'll show you how useless I am.

Broadway:
[as they're flying away from MacBeth] At least we led him away from Hudson.

Brooklyn:
Yeah, now if someone would lead him away from us!

David Xanatos:
Better watch out Owen. This MacBeth may be gunning for your job. He's already died for me once on this project. It's hard to top that.

Brooklyn:
[seeing Broadway] Jalapena! You're still alive! It's a miracle

Goliath:
Yes. A miracle called Elisa.

Hudson:
Listen to me Xanatos. What you seek demands a heavy price. I've lived 1100 years, most of my clan is dead and dust. And I'm a stranger in a strange land. Demona and MacBeth are immortal, has it brought them happiness?

David Xanatos:
Save your breath, Hudson. Death and old age have their price as well. And it's too expensive for me.

David Xanatos:
[as a Steel Clan Robot is about to drop Hudson in teh cauldron] Relax Hudson. Without your sword, you're helpless.

Hudson:
Swordless, maybe. Helpless? NEVER!

David Xanatos:
I suppose you'll destroy the cauldron now.

Hudson:
And why would I be doing that? What you choose to do with your life is your own affair... As long as it's got nothing to do with me.

David Xanatos:
You're just full of surprises.

Hudson:
A friendly word of advice. True immortality isn't about living forever, man. It's about what you do with the time you have. When all your scheming's done, what will your legacy be, Xanatos? [Hudson leaves. Owen starts to go after him. Xanatos stops Owen]

David Xanatos:
No, let him go. He's earned it.

Goliath:
[Looking at the remains] Hudson was the greatest warrior I have ever known. His loss diminishes us all.

Brooklyn:
Yeah, I wish I'd... he was one in a million.

Lexington:
He's forgotten more things than we'll ever know.

Elisa Maza:
He was always there for us.

Broadway:
I'm sorry, Hudson. I wish it hadn't turned out this way.

Hudson:
[Hudson joins the group] All things considered, I'm just as glad it did.

David Xanatos:
I was close to finding out if the legend was true. Now there's no one to test it on.

Owen Burnett:
Allow me sir. [puts his hand in the cauldron, it turns to stone] It would appear that the cauldron's spell of immortality has a price.

Brooklyn:
Demona.

Angela:
My mother.

Goliath:
Demona must be gathering for another offensive.

Brooklyn:
Let's offend her first!

Brooklyn:
This tin can won't save you!

Demona:
Oh, but it's a very clever tin can. [shocks Brooklyn]

Angela:
Stop this fighting.

Demona:
YOU! I saw you in Paris. Who are you? I know *every* remaining gargoyle.

Goliath:
She is not your concern! [Attacks Demona]

Talon:
[Elisa swats a mosquito] Sorry, I'm afraid we have mosquitoes down here, and worse.

Fang:
Hey. HEY! I RESEMBLE that remark!

Talon:
Fang is serving time for trying to force his way into power down here.

Fang:
Yeah. But I'm expecting the governor to commute my sentence any minute now.

Angela:
I'll take the first watch.

Goliath:
Perhaps it's... best if you don't.

Angela:
[Angrily] Am I member of this clan or not?

Goliath:
Of course, but...

Hudson:
Take the first watch, lass. But remember, she may be your mother but she is capable of anything.

Demona:
You again! Who are you?

Angela:
Angela. Your daughter.

Demona:
My daughter? How *dare* you mock me! I have no daughter!

Angela:
Yes you do. The clan's eggs survived. You and Goliath are my biological parents. I'm told there's a resemblence.

Demona:
My daughter... After so long, can it really be?

Demona:
Know this young one, humans have no place in a gargoyle clan. Goliath has lost sight of this simple truth. If you are truly my daughter, we must always be there for one another, that is what it means to belong to a clan.

Dr. Anton Sevarius:
Nice doing business with you, Thailog. All you have to do now is decide on the programming. My advice, keep it simple, you don't want to end up with another you.

Thailog:
My thoughts exactly.

Goliath:
You think you've won, Thailog? But it isn't that easy.

Thailog:
Oh, really? I hope you weren't counting on them to rescue you.

[a door opens with the rest of the gargoyles all unconscious]

Thailog:
Face it, Goliath. My clan can beat your clan any day of the week!

[laughs]

Thailog:
It is time to get rid of all of you. Starting with her! [Aims his weapon at Angela]

Demona:
[Demona steps in front of Thailog] NO! She belongs to me!

Thailog:
My dear, you've known she was your daughter. Since before we staged your capture. And you *still* have not been able to turn her.

Angela:
You knew the whole time?

Demona:
I had to make you understand.

Angela:
I understand perfectly. All this was a charade. Staged to turn me against my father! To trap to destroy my clan! You *are* capable of anything. I hate you!

Demona:
[Freeing the clan] Goliath! Save our daughter!

Lexington:
[as he's fighting his clone] We can't beat these guys one-on-one.

Brooklyn:
[Knocking Brentwood off Lexington] So let's use teamwork!

Hudson:
Aye! But we'll need some room to move!

Thailog:
Do you wish to perish?

Demona:
My vengeance is all you've left me!

Broadway:
Without Thailog these guys don't know what to do. Or where to go.

Lexington:
Yeah, but we can't just bring them back to the Clock Tower, can we? I mean they kind of give me the creeps.

Talon:
They can come live in the Labyrinth with my clan.

Burbank:
You are our master now?

Talon:
Better than that. I'll teach you to think for yourselves. And use verbs.

Angela:
The last thing I said to her was "I hate you." But she sacrificed herself for me. How can it end this way?

Goliath:
She knew how you truly felt. And Demona's love for you is the first goodness she's shown in a long, long time. For her, it may have been a new beginning. A new beginning for us all.

[after Thailog breaks Demona out, she takes aim at Fang]

Fang:
Hey, Demona... you know, I've always respected you as a fellow inmate... some of my best friends are half-gargoyle, half-human babes with bad attitudes!

[Demona blasts open his cell]

Demona:
He's a fool, but he may be of some use.

Fang:
I can work with that!

Broadway:
Elisa, why don't I go with you? *I* can be your partner.

Elisa Maza:
I already have one partner to worry about tonight. I don't need another two. [chuckles] Go back to your movie.

Broadway:
Elisa, I'm sorry about the bomb. But it proves how dangerous this case is.

Elisa Maza:
Too dangerous for an amateur detective playing out a movie fantasy!

Broadway:
Matt was no amateur and he worked alone. Where'd it get him? Elisa let me be your partner!

Broadway:
[after almost getting hit by a car] New York drivers!

Glasses:
[to his men] You'll rest when I tell you to rest!

Broadway:
[from distance] I know that guy from somewhere.

Elisa Maza:
He's called "Glasses." He's Dracon's right hand man.

Broadway:
Dracon! I *hate* that guy!

Elisa Maza:
He's not one my favorites either.

Elisa Maza:
[they're buried under rubble] You all right?

Broadway:
I've had better nights.

Broadway:
I've got a pocket light. [Coughs] Not much air in here. Tell me those claws of yours can dig us out.

Broadway:
I... don't think so. [turns to stone]

Elisa Maza:
Uh oh.

Elisa Maza:
You did your best, Broadway. Now it's my turn.

Elisa Maza:
Tony, Tony. Don't get mad, not when you can still get even. I know where Malone stashes your family jewels.

Tony Dracon:
Maza, don't play with me.

Elisa Maza:
It's not a game, it's a negotiation. You want those stones, you have to let Detective Bluestone and me go free.

Tony Dracon:
Okay, Maza we have a deal. My word as a Dracon.

Matt Bluestone:
He blew up my apartment? [scoffs] Elisa you know as soon as you show him the jewels our lives aren't worth beans.

Elisa Maza:
Don't worry, I called for back up. I hope.

Glasses:
You know what? I think this dame's going to deliver.

Matt Bluestone:
She hasn't let me down yet.

Tony Dracon:
[after Elisa gets the bag] Maza, you are beautiful.

Elisa Maza:
So are your stone, Tony.

Tony Dracon:
We had a deal. Once I have the gems, I'll let you go. Trust me.

Elisa Maza:
*Trust* you?

Tony Dracon:
Look down, sugar. Do you see any other options here?

Elisa Maza:
[Looking down] As a matter of fact, I do. [jumps]

Broadway:
I did it, Elisa. I figured out where the Falcon was.

Elisa Maza:
I knew you would, Broadway. Now it's Matt who needs a hand. I'll be okay. Go!

Dracon's Man:
[as Dracon gets out of the copter] Boss! Wait- What about-? [Bluestone hits him]

Matt Bluestone:
That's for my apartment!

Broadway:
You made one mistake, Dracon. You messed with my partner!

Tony Dracon:
Not you guys again!

Broadway:
When someone messes with your partner. You're supposed to do something about it. Case closed!

Dominic Dracon:
[reading a note] "I feel sorry for you, DD. You still haven't learned that crime doesn't pay. Your old partner Mace."

Lexington:
[walking into the TV room] Hey, it's The Pack!

Brooklyn:
Cool!

Hudson:
[flipping through the channels] Something's wrong, it's on all the channels again!

Broadway:
I thought you liked this show, Hudson.

Hudson:
Aye, I do, but not every night!

Elisa Maza:
I have to tell you, Mr. Burnett. I'm still surprised at being asked back seeing as how I busted your boss.

Owen Burnett:
Mr. Xanatos is not the sort to harbor a grudge, Detective Maza. And he wouldn't dream of denying you the opportunity to see your friends.

Goliath:
But welcome to our home, especially now that Xanatos has been defeated. And this castle is truly *ours* once more!

Elisa Maza:
That's what I wanted to talk you about. You know that Xanatos was only convicted of receiving stolen property.

Goliath:
Convicted?

Elisa Maza:
He was accused of that specific crim and that's what he got sent to prison for. But he only got a six month sentence, and we're lucky it wasn't suspended. His lawyers will probably get that time cut down. The point is, it's not safe here for you guys.

Goliath:
What are you saying?

Elisa Maza:
I'm saying you have to find a new place to sleep during the day, a new home Goliath.

Elisa Maza:
[to Goliath] I think your head stays rock hard even at night.

Wolf:
When we took this job, we were promised fame money and action. I'm not complaining about the first two. But I could use more of third.

Wolf:
Birds gotta fly. Fish gotta swim. Wolves gotta hunt!

Hyena:
You know I remember reading something in the Daily Tattler. [Chuckles] People saying they've seen gargoyles coming to life.

Jackal:
Right and alligators live in the sewers.

Wolf:
What's the point of it?

Hyena:
[Chuckling] Hey you said you were looking for action.

Fox:
Imagine hunting something like this. [Showing Wolf pictures of Goliath] We'll figure it out later. Right now we have a personal appearance to make.

Wolf:
Well another day, another half million dollars.

Goliath:
[Angrily] You let them see you?

Lexington:
Yeah. Yes I did. And why not? You made friends with Elisa.

Goliath:
That was different!

Lexington:
We can't hide from the whole world up here. There are kindred spirits out there for us, but we've got to look for them and we've got to give them the chance. Or else, we'll always be alone.

Goliath:
[after they've been attacked by the pack] I think they planned to do so from the moment they first met you.

Lexington:
But *why*? We're not their enemies! They're no more than animals!

Goliath:
Worse than that. An animal hunts because it's hungry. These hunters do it for sport.

Lexington:
I'm never trusting anyone again!

Lexington:
I was so totally wrong!

Goliath:
No, Lexington! You were right. We can't hide from the world, we must live in it. We must search for allies, kindred spirits, and sometimes, we must take chances like we did tonight. To do so otherwise is to remain forever alone.

Lexington:
It's nice to know there are still some heroes left.

Hudson:
I thought they were the good guys. Maybe we shouldn't believe everything we see on television.

Owen Burnett:
Everything was done as you stipulated, sir. The Cable TV was adjusted so that the only program the gargoyles could see was the Pack's. The Pack received a mysterious envelope of photographs, and reacted just as you predicted. A pity nothing else happened according to plan.

David Xanatos:
Oh I wouldn't say that Owen. Though they didn't know it was me, I created the Pack to be far more than a TV show. I had to see how good they were. And having underestimated Goliath once before, I had to see what he was capable of as well. All-in-all, I'd say the test was most informative.

Goliath:
It's a trap!

[an explosion rocks through the prison, which houses Tony Dracon!]

Tony Dracon:
What's going on? I didn't order a jailbreak!

Angela:
Oh, and another thing- Stop calling me ANGIE!

Brooklyn:
You got it!

Broadway:
No problem!

Lexington:
'Angela', it is!

Tomas Brod:
[Salli signals for everyone to follow her in. Dracon's man appears and fires a rocket at her] That is why I never go first.

Angela:
[the trio are arguing while gliding, they don't notice a smoke stack] Guys! GUYS!

Broadway:
[Broadway notices the smoke stack] Uh oh. [the trio crashes into the smoke stack]

Angela:
I tried to warn you.

Broadway, Lexington, Brooklyn:
Thanks.

Angela:
It's almost dawn, and Goliath, Bronx, and Hudson still haven't come back from patrol.

Broadway:
Don't worry, we've all been caught away from home at sunrise.

Lexington:
Yeah, but how many of us have turned to stone in mid-air?

Broadway:
HEY! That MacBeth robot was after me! [Broadway and Lexington start fighting each other]

Brooklyn:
Knock it off muttonheads!

Angela:
Elisa, I know the boy are trying to be friendly but... [Looks back at the trio who are striking poses] Are they always like this?

Elisa Maza:
[slight laugh] It's been a while since they've been around an attractive female gargoyle, like about a thousand years. You're a big girl. Let them know how you expect to be treated.

Brooklyn:
All right, here's the plan. Me and Angie will tail 'em and you guys wait for Goliath. [Angela and Brooklyn glide off]

Lexington:
He's doing it again! [Lexington and Broadway go after them]

Broadway:
This is too important for you to handle alone.

Angela:
Listen, Elisa's counting on us. So no more fighting. Okay?

Brooklyn:
Who's fighting?

Lexington:
You bet!

Broadway:
*I* am not fighting.

Tomas Brod:
Those creatures. I fought them in Prague. Why do they help me now?

Salli:
Maybe they hate Dracon more.

Tomas Brod:
Don't move. [laughs] Looks like I've got you.

Glasses:
Big deal. You get rid of me, there's a hundred tough guys waiting to take my place. Dracons have owned this town for three generations!

Tomas Brod:
So... no more Dracons, town gets new owner.

Glasses:
Whatever.

Angela:
Stop it! Does anybody care that Brod is getting away? It's time you stopped acting like hatchlings! And the winner does not get to keep me! Now let's go. [Glides off]

Broadway:
Whoa... Busted.

Brooklyn:
Elisa needs our help.

Angela:
[Lexington is trying to fly the air craft] Can't you do something? I thought you flew a helicopter!

Lexington:
Yeah. But uh. first, I uh kind of crashed it.

Tony Dracon:
You want a piece of me Brod? You got it! After I exterminate these bats! [starts firing at the gargoyles]

Tomas Brod:
I will crush you! But first, the reptiles. [starts shooting at the gargoyles]

Brooklyn:
These boys just can't play nice!

Broadway:
Yeah. We better take their toys away!

Angela:
Besides, I'm not the only female gargoyle on Earth. I've got fifteen rookery sisters on Avalon.

Brooklyn:
[to Goliath] So, when do we get our world tour?

Goliath:
It's a quiet night.

Guess again. [pointing down] You're not going to believe who came out of hiding.

Broadway:
The Pack!

Lexington:
Ooh. I've been waiting for another shot at them!

Goliath:
Do not lose the element of surprise. They are formidable opponents.

Dingo:
If we take out Goliath, this fight is OURS!

Wolf:
Now you're talking! [tosses a weapon at Goliath. Goliath falls]

Brooklyn:
GOLIATH!

Lexington:
[the Pack is escaping] We can't just let them get away!

Brooklyn:
Helping Goliath is more important!

Hudson:
Next time, you might not be as lucky. I don't like to think this way, but it's time you chose a second-in-command. Someone to take your place if the worst happens.

Goliath:
If one day I cannot lead... you shall, my friend.

Hudson:
[scoffs] You were *my* second. And I passed the job to you. There's no point in going backwards. Not when you have three hearty young warriors to choose from. And choose you must.

Elisa Maza:
Tear gas doesn't cause that kind of explosion.

Coyote:
[flies down] You win a gold star, detective.

Goliath:
What manner of trickery is this?

Coyote:
You may have surmised, that explosion was for the tourists. The *real* action is right up here!

Hudson:
Even the Archmage's sorcery never brewed creatures like these.

Goliath:
We have defeated them before.

Hyena:
Not the new upgraded models!

Dingo:
You're not our leader, Wolf. You're barely our species. I still can't believe what you three did to yourselves.

Wolf:
We did what you were afraid to. And we agreed whoever bagged the biggest gargoyle would lead the Pack!

Coyote:
[Coyote drops Goliath to the ground] I'm sorry Wolf. But I think my Goliath tops your Hudson.

Brooklyn:
Hey, where is Goliath?

Broadway:
And Hudson? I was just keeping his chair warm.

Brooklyn:
And Bronx... Hey, if they lugged Bronx along, the situation has got to be serious!

Lexington:
If I was leader, I'd make sure that my clan knew where I was at all times.

Broadway:
If you were leader, I'd be somewhere else at all times.

Fox:
[on the TV] Don't pack it in. Take the train.

Brooklyn:
She wants us there. Where the tracks cross!

Lexington:
I know that spot!

Broadway:
It's gotta be a trap!

Brooklyn:
Goliath and Hudson might be in danger. Do we have a choice?

Broadway:
Whoa, that's not the Pack I remember.

Lexington:
Who cares; let's go get them!

[Starts to glide down. Brooklyn grabs him]

Brooklyn:
Wait! He's powerful enough to trap Goliath.

Lexington:
You may be afraid to fight without Goliath, *I'm* not!

Broadway:
Me neither!

Brooklyn:
Guys, we won't get two chances at this... I have a plan.

Dingo:
[as Wolf and Jackal chase after Brooklyn] We'd better hang together, or we'll hang separately.

Hyena:
I know you're around here somewhere, you flying rat!

Lexington:
That's MISTER Flying Rat to you!

Coyote:
[as he's fight Goliath] I like being stronger than any of you.

Brooklyn:
But not stronger than ALL of US! [the gargoyles all pounce on Coyote]

Police Officer:
Oh, man, who did this?

Murphy:
What I want to know is, where do we take them: a hospital, machine shop, or the vet?

Goliath:
I have something to say. As you know I've been considering a second-in-command. I've had a choice in mind for weeks, but was concerned that to reveal it, would drive a wedge between you. But you have each proven yourselves to be worthy warriors. And more importantly, an excellent fighting team. I now see what I should've seen all along, that nothing can divide you... Brooklyn, my friend, leadership is a heavy burden.

Brooklyn:
Me?

Hudson:
Congratulations, lad.

Lexington:
That goes double for me.

Broadway:
Hey, you deserve it, buddy.

Brooklyn:
Um, Goliath, be careful, huh? I'm in no hurry to take your place.

[last lines]

Fox:
Checkmate.

David Xanatos:
Well played.

Fox:
Aren't you angry? I know you don't like to lose.

David Xanatos:
But I've won, my darling. For in you, I've found a true equal. Care to play again?

[Coyote gets run over by a train]

Brooklyn:
Wow. Remind me not to get hit by one of those.

[Coyote and Wolf both claim leadership of the Pack]

Hyena:
Ooh, Coyote, honey, is that you?

Wolf:
Hit the road, Sparky! I'm in charge here!

Hyena:
[laughing] Oh, really? I didn't see you take out Goliath.

Jackal:
You're not siding with this glorified toaster oven?

Hyena:
I find him very attractive.

Jackal:
Well, that's sicker than usual.

[Coyote and Wolf both claim leadership of the Pack]

Dingo:
What a choice: a robot who thinks he's human, or a human who's gone to the dogs.

Vinnie:
Oh, it looks like a million, Mr. Acme. You must've followed my blueprints to a tee. I'm so excited.

Mr. Acme:
I *guarantee* whoever ends up on the receiving end of *this* baby is gonna get creamed! [points to the trigger] For your hand only. A palm print trigger you demanded.

Vinnie:
[lifts his weapon] Oh, cool! I don't want nobody firing off Mr. Carter but me!

Hudson:
I still can't see why they call it a "big apple."

Goliath:
Some questions, old friend, are best left for humans to resolve.

Goliath:
[Getting up slowly] I'll be all right, Hudson. No major damage.

Wolf:
That comes next!

Hudson:
[Hudson attacks Wolf] You'll have to get through *me* first!

Wolf:
Works for us.

Hudson:
I thought your weapons of choice were the fang and the claw.

Wolf:
Yeah, well tonight is battle axe night!

Wolf:
[to Goliath] Taking you out with the axe would have been way too quick anyway. And nowhere near as fun as tearing you apart with my bare hands!

Hakon:
[to Wolf who's unconscious] You call that battle? You're a disgrace to the entire bloodline! Now it's HAKON's turn!

Hudson:
Since when do werewolves fly?

Goliath:
The question isn't when, it's how?

Hakon:
When will it dawn on you gargoyle, you are dealing with forces you cannot possibly overcome.

Wolf:
I got no intentions of sharing my body with a viking ghost!

Hakon:
You half-wit! My blood already flows in your veins! You're my decendant. It's that link and our mutual hatred for Goliath that drew you to Wyvern in the first place! Now my supernatural powers have made you invincible. You'd be a *fool* to reject me!

Wolf:
[to Goliath] Any last words?

Hakon:
Not so fast, Wolf! If anyone delivers the deathblow to Goliath, it's going to be *me*!

Wolf:
Dream on Casper!

Hakon:
We're wasting time fighting. If we do the deed together, we can *both* have the vengance we crave.

Wolf:
Now you're talking sense. Let's do it! Two against one.

Hudson:
[Hudson arrives] Two against two!

Hakon:
You can't elude me old one. Surrender now and I promise a quick demise!

Hudson:
I was about to make you the same offer.

Hakon:
I should let this machine crush you like the ant you are!

Hudson:
Hakon! Clan slaughterer! Have you lost your desire for vengence? Have you lost your edge?

Hakon:
No! I've got them both right here!

Hudson:
[to Hakon] Get an afterlife!

Wolf:
Come on gargoyle, are you afraid to die like a man?

Goliath:
What would a mutate werewolf know about being a man?

Hudson:
[after Vinnie creams Goliath] Who in the world was that?

Goliath:
I haven't the slightest idea.

David Xanatos:
It's so unlike you to attack first. I simply invited you here to talk.

Goliath:
Our past encounters have not inspired me to trust you.

Hudson:
Only you can decide what you will do lad.

Elisa Maza:
It's crazy to even *consider* going!

Goliath:

Petro Xanatos:
Don't you know it's bad luck to see the bride before the wedding.

David Xanatos:

Petro Xanatos:
[regarding the castle] Why do you need all this?

David Xanatos:

Owen Burnett:

David Xanatos:

Demona:
[after giving Goliath half the Phoenix Gate] Take this as token of my love. Cherish it always, as I cherish my half. Upon this I pledge my heart to you forever.

Goliath:

Goliath:
Demona...

Demona:
I'm only attending this farce because Xanatos insisted. And I need to keep him as an ally. I neither know nor care why you're here.

Goliath:

Demona:

David Xanatos:
[after Demona and Goliath leave the ceremony, Xanatos chases after them] Now the fun begins.

Petro Xanatos:
This is your wedding! Have you no respect for anything?

David Xanatos:
Sorry, pop. I'm in a bit of a hurry.

Petro Xanatos:
Unacceptable!

Goliath:
So you see, Hud -... Uh I mean my mentor. Uh. I'm not a creature of sorcery. I'm a visitor... from the future.

Hudson:
And I suppose you glided back in time on the wind.

Demona:
What am I to do?

Goliath:
Do nothing.

Demona:
Nothing?

Goliath:
Do not worry. Do not wait or look for this catastrophe. Live in the moment. Attend the petty angers and jealousies that fill your heart. Fortify yourself with love and trust. And you need not fear this future. But most of all fulfill the vows of love you make for they can surely save you.

Demona:

Goliath:
[picking up the older version of Demona] I had hers once too.

Goliath:
If I didn't fear the damage you would do to the time stream, I'd *gladly* leave you here.

David Xanatos:
But you won't, because you didn't. Time travel's funny that way.

Demona:
Get away from me, you sentimental fool. You may have prevented me from altering the past, but you failed too. You see I have clear memories of your little inspirational about keeping my vows of love. I *never* forgot it. Obviously history is immutable.

Goliath:
More is the pity.

Demona:
[Referring to Young Goliath who's wounded] Believe me I know exactly how you feel. But you cannot trust him. He's weak. He cares more for the humans than for our clan. The greatest favor you can do him would be to put him out of our misery forever! You must know I'm right. Can't you see I'm right? I am what you will become!

Young Demona:
I will never be like you!

Demona:
I do not wish to hurt you.

Young Demona:
And I do not wish to *be* you!

Dingo:
The Dream Time?

The Shaman:
It is all around you. A dimension parallel to this one. A world of *mind* and heart. Find the Dream Time and you'll free your soul.

Dingo:

The Shaman:

Dingo:

Elisa Maza:
Somehow I doubt it's a coincidence that you're here.

Dingo:

Goliath:
He did help save Angela and myself. We'll accept your story... for now.

Anastasia Renard:
I'd just feel better if we restarted with a clean Operating System.

Fox:
Mother, it's just a test. If we're successful, David and I can use Matrix to reshape the entire planet to suit *us*.

Anastasia Renard:
Fox! Humor your mother.

Fox:
Well, it's a lot of work, but if you really think it's necessary, we'll erase the program and start over.

Goliath:
What is this "nanotechnology"?

Dingo:
Tiny robots, each smaller than a germ. Coyote used to say it was the wave of the future.

Angela:
What do they do?

Dingo:
Anything you want 'em to. They're programmed to keep building more and more of themselves. When you have billions of the little buggers all working together, they can do just about anything, in a big hurry.

Elisa Maza:
It's unbelievable.

Dingo:
Not really. Old Mother Nature's been doing the same job for millions of years. She just uses proteins and enzymes instead of machines.

Angela:
But could not these machines transform us as well?

Dingo:
I wouldn't want to stay and test my luck. Let's get out of here!

Dingo:
What? Talk to a machine?

Anastasia Renard:
It's more than a machine now. It's an Artificial Intelligence!

Fox:
But it thinks a billion times faster than we do. We can't communicate with it in real time!

The Shaman:
Then you must seek it in the Dream Time.

The Shaman:
[to Goliath and Dingo] Remember: in the Dream Time, things are not what they seem, but wbat you *make* them seem.

Goliath:
That must be the Matrix! Come! We have no time to lose! [runs off]

Dingo:
Eh. Why not? Always did fancy a trip to Disneyland.

Goliath:
If you continue, you will destroy the world!

Matrix:
The world is imperfect. We shall make it pure, pristine. Nothing must interfere with our directive!

Goliath:
Matrix, you must listen to me! Order is not frozen perfection. It's dynamic, evolving!

Matrix:
We are programmed to create order.

Goliath:
You're not creating! You are negating! Your peace is that of the grave!

Matrix:
But we must pursue order!

Dingo:
Oh, listen mate, there's another kind of order: *law* and order. Eh? Now that's something you'd be real good at!

Dingo:
[to Elisa as they're about to see the Shaman] Uh say, uh, maybe just you and me ought to go in? I don't wanna give the old geezer a heart attack.

[Elisa and Dingo see the Shaman]

The Shaman:
Ah, you have returned. Why not bring your other guests into the light?

[Goliath and Angela step forth]

The Shaman:
Ah, you are from the Dream Time.
