[pleasantly surprised] Ainun? [pause, then excitedly] Beautiful! This is crazy! Brown sugar has transformed into white sugar! Yes!

Hasri Ainun Habibie:
[amused] White sugar?

Mrs. H. Mohammad Besari:
What school are you attending over there, Rud?

Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie:
I'm studying machinery.

Mr. H. Mohammad Besari:
Machinery? What kind of machine?

Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie:
[gazing distractedly at Ainun] Sewing machine. Eh, machine... [realizing mistake, laughs] Sorry... [Everybody at dining table laughs as well]

Mr. H. Mohammad Besari:
[chuckling] Sewing machine...

Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie:
[laughing] Yeah... Aircraft machinery, Sir.

Mr. H. Mohammad Besari:
I thought you were going to make a sewing machine for Ainun.

Hasri Ainun Habibie:
You lose your handsome looks when you scowl like that. Don't worry. I've undergone this surgery before.

Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie:
[pacing about] See, that's precisely why.

Hasri Ainun Habibie:
[smiling] Don't fuss. This is just like removing an appendix.

Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie:
Now, an ovarian surgery is not the same as an appendix surgery.

Hasri Ainun Habibie:

[taking toy plane from Ainun, deadpan] I am the one who makes planes. You are a doctor. So don't act as if you know.

Hasri Ainun Habibie:
[to Habibie, angrily] You are the leader of the nation. If you can't take the lead in the care of your own body, how are you supposed to take the lead in the care of 200 million people?

Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie:
You must be strong. Don't leave me.

Hasri Ainun Habibie:
Don't be afraid to lose me. We are one.
