Dr. Paul Weston:
I told you earlier that I was distracted when I was with Wendy. You asked me what I was thinking about and I said I didn't know. You asked me if I hold myself back, I didn't answer. Well I do hold myself back. Do you know why? I was thinking about you. I hear your voice... a lot. I admire your clarity. You see me.

Alex Prince, Sr.:
People like you, you never stop to think that we have a, a subconscious for a reason. Because there are things about ourselves that we cannot face, that we *should* not face. Or else how in the world do we get up out of bed in the morning?

Dr. Paul Weston:
[to April, who's in denial about having Stage 3 cancer] I think you need to have a conversation with someone outside of your own head.

Amy:
He said if you leave me I'll kill you.

Dr. Paul Weston:
Did you mean that?

Jake:
Of course not! I'm not gonna f***ing kill her!... this week.

Amy:
My stomach aches.

Jake:
How convenient. Amy gets these perfectly timed stomach aches. They're like her secret weapons.

Dr. Paul Weston:
Would you like some tea, Amy?

Amy:
Nuh-uh.

Dr. Paul Weston:
What does it feel like? Does it feel...

Jake:
[interrupts] It feels like she's having a conversation she'd rather not have.

Dr. Paul Weston:
[to Amy] Maybe you feel that if you degrade yourself enough someday somebody will forgive you.

Jesse:
I can't believe I got dressed up. I can't believe I wore this jacket, I haven't worn this since Freshmen year. And this tie isn't even mine, it's Nate's. I tied him up with it once and I got cum on it, so he said I could keep it.

Jesse:
He [Nate] was like, 'Where are you?' and I was like, 'At the Whitney' and he was like, 'Meet me in the men's room on the third floor,' and I was like, 'Fine" because I didn't want to go back to class and spend the morning staring at those Georgia O'Keefe flower vaginas. Those things give me the creeps.

Laura:
What am I gonna do?

Paul:
We'll talk about it next week.

Dr. Paul Weston:
I don't think there's anything beneath our dignity if it takes us places our dignity refuses to go.

Paul, Walter:
Don't read too far into that.

Paul:
That's a funny thing to say to a psychiatrist.

Dr. Paul Weston:
[of Amy] I don't think she can ever really be known. I mean, there are certain *patterns* that identify themselves from her past, but - I cannot... shrink... her. She's too complicated. And then I say to myself: do I *really* know any of these people? Or are they all just one big *fiction* that I've constructed in my head, you know?

Sophie:
God, you're like the queen of selective hearing.

Dr. Paul Weston:
I have to find something in each of my patients that I love. Otherwise I won't be able to treat them.

Sophie:
[smiling] Bet you had to search me with a magnifying glass to find something to love!

Sunil Sanyal:
I think it's better off if she runs with Mr. Pale Fox... or simply... disappears.
