Legends of Tomorrow

Rip Hunter:
In 2166, an immortal tyrant named Vandal Savage conquered the world and murdered my wife and child. I have assembled an elite team to hunt him throughout time and stop his rise to power. Unfortunately, my plan is opposed by the body I'd sworn my allegiance to: the Time Masters. In the future, my friends may not be heroes, but if we succeed, they will be remembered as legends.

Rip Hunter:
I've seen darker days. I've been men of steel die and dark knights fall, and even then I accomplished my mission no matter what.

Mick Rory:
What about the rest of us? Do we just sit?

Rip Hunter:
Capital idea, Mr. Rory. You're not nearly as thick as most people say.

Mick Rory:
Thick... does that mean stupid?

Rip Hunter:
What the hell happened back there?

Sara Lance:
You know I'm a killer. That's why you put me in your little group.

Rip Hunter:
I didn't witness just a killer at work, Sara. What I saw was an animal.

Sara Lance:
You are the last person on this ship to judge anyone!

Rip Hunter:
This is not judgment, Sara. It is concern.

Sara Lance:
I thought you knew how I was resurrected and what it did to me.

Rip Hunter:
I know you were restored by something called the Lazarus Pit.

Sara Lance:
Well, apparently there's a downside to being brought back to life. My friend, Thea, calls it a blood lust, and I think that's being too generous, and so is calling me an animal. I'm a monster.

Ray Palmer:
All right, where am I headed?

Dr. Martin Stein:
You're exiting the tracheal artery. You should see the first fragment.

Ray Palmer:
No sign of it. Did I miss it?

Dr. Martin Stein:
It's the size of an iceberg. It seems highly unlikely that you could miss it.

Ray Palmer:
Huh. That's probably what they said on the Titanic.

Dr. Martin Stein:
I believe I've determined a way to more efficiently track the fragments still inside Ms. Saunders' body. Next time, you'll be better prepared.

Ray Palmer:
There won't be a next time.

Dr. Martin Stein:
Can't you fix the suit?

Ray Palmer:
It's not the suit.

Dr. Martin Stein:
Raymond, you... you musn't be discouraged. We're scientists. We learn from failure and we keep going.

Ray Palmer:
Kendra isn't a lab experiment. She's a person.

Rip Hunter:
Your killing people doesn't make you a monster, Sara. But having the chance to avenge your family and not taking it... that does.

Dr. Martin Stein:
I know how it feels.

Ray Palmer:
What?

Dr. Martin Stein:
To have a crisis of confidence. As unlikely as it might seem, I know. It was 2002. I was teaching quantum mechanics, and I had one particularly gifted student. He was able to solve the Ehrenfest theorem in less than an hour. He was, quite frankly, the only student in all my years of teaching who ever made me feel inferior. That student was you. You were exceptional.

Ray Palmer:
And suddenly, just like that, you remember having me in your class.

Dr. Martin Stein:
I always remembered. I just enjoyed taking you down a peg or two.

[last lines]

Gideon:
Sir, I've completed my review of the timeline. I calculate a 98% likelihood that Savage reappears in 1986.

Rip Hunter:
Chart a course, Gideon.

Ray Palmer:
Guess we're headed to the '80s. Better break out your parachute pants.

Jefferson 'Jax' Jackson:
What the hell are parachute pants?

Rip Hunter:
[after Sara pulls out a knife from a holster on her left leg] Exactly how many knives do you have?

Leonard Snart:
I never met a building I couldn't break into.

Leonard Snart:
This isn't my first prison break.

Sara Lance:
Remember, we get Stein first.

Leonard Snart:
If the plan fails, you'll kill him. You want my advice?

Sara Lance:
No.

Leonard Snart:
Don't use your gun, do it with your hands. Do it while you're looking right into Stein's eyes.

Sara Lance:
You're talking about a member of our team.

Leonard Snart:
I know, I just want you to remember who we were talking about.

Barry Allen:
Sometimes the world needs a team.

Dr. Martin Stein:
You call this a team? A girl with wings in a past lives complex. A deceased assassin. A pair of criminals. And a billionaire with more tech than he clearly knows what to do with it.

Ray Palmer:
I know exactly what to do with it. Most of the time.

Ray Palmer:
That's the worst that Savage can throw at us? We got this thing nailed down.

Leonard Snart:
Why did you say that?

Leonard Snart:
I can't imagine any kind of future where I'm a hero.

Carter Hall:
Or mine.

Rip Hunter:
I know it's difficult for you to fathom, but where - when I'm from, the year 2166, you and everyone on this roof aren't just considered heroes... You're legends.

Ray Palmer:
Legends?

Dr. Martin Stein:
I, um, I hate to nitpick, but doesn't a legend have to be dead?

Kendra Saunders:
Yeah, see, uh, that's deal breaker for me, so I'm gonna pass.

Leonard Snart:
We go out for one lousy drink, and you guys somehow manage to pick a fight with Boba Fett.

Mick Rory:
I can't believe you're hooking up with the Englishman. We're thieves. Crooks. Criminals. I have no desire to save the world. Especially 100 years after I'm dead.

Leonard Snart:
He said across time, Mick. What about the years before? Before fingerprints and surveillance cameras and DNA analysis. Why did we become criminals?

Mick Rory:
Because we hate working and we love money.

Mick Rory:
Whatever you roofied him with, I'd like some.

Dr. Martin Stein:
I did not roofie him.

Mick Rory:
Oh, I ain't judgin'.

Gideon:
Captain Hunter told me you'd try to do this, and he also told me not to listen to anything you say.

Jefferson 'Jax' Jackson:
Well, you are a computer. You have to listen to me!

Gideon:
You seem overwrought, Mr. Jackson. If you'd like to go to the Med Bay, I'd be happy to prescribe you a sedative.

Jefferson 'Jax' Jackson:
I do not need another roofie!

Rip Hunter:
Dr. Palmer, please tell me...

Ray Palmer:
I didn't leave my exosuit on the ship? Okay, but I'd be lying.

Dr. Martin Stein:
Why the change of heart?

Jay Jackson:
You ever play football? Yeah, I didn't think so... Anyway, the best feeling I ever got from being on the field wasn't when I made a great play or we won some game. It was when one of my team-mates took a tackle for me, and I knew they were gonna make sure I was safe. And nobody got to me. Watching all of you rush back to the ship, even those two knuckle-heads, to take on Chronos, made me feel the same way. I like being part of a team, man.

Dr. Martin Stein:
Me too.

Rip Hunter:
Will you people please stop hitting me?

Laurel Lance:
After you died, I needed a channel for my grief. I found it in becoming the Black Canary. I found it in you.

Sara Lance:
For me, being the Canary was never that positive.

Laurel Lance:
Then don't be the Canary. Do what Oliver's been doing. Do what this Rip Hunter is offering you the chance to do and... be a hero in the light. Be the White Canary.

Sara Lance:
[Laurel shows her the White Canary costume] Where did you get this?

Laurel Lance:
I have a resourceful friend named Cisco.

Sara Lance:
Where's the mask?

Laurel Lance:
You don't need it anymore. You've lived in the shadows long enough.

Rip Hunter:
We can't go back and change events in which we participated. Time would fold in on itself, creating a temporal vortex.

Ray Palmer:
Which sounds way cooler than it is.

Rip Hunter:
Actually, I'm in charge, in case any of you have forgotten.

Leonard Snart:
No, I remember. I just don't care.

Rip Hunter:
I'll go with you.

Leonard Snart:
I already got a partner.

Rip Hunter:
Who I trust even less than you.

Jefferson 'Jax' Jackson:
People actually wore this crap?

Dr. Martin Stein:
People smoked a lot of pot in the '70s. It clearly had a deleterious effect on the fashion of the era.

Sara Lance:
I cannot believe that that is you.

Jefferson 'Jax' Jackson:
Seriously, I had no idea you were ever cool.

Dr. Martin Stein:
I wasn't cool. I was an arrogant little snot.

Jefferson 'Jax' Jackson:
Was?

Sara Lance:
Forgetting physics for a second, shouldn't we figure out what Savage is doing in Norway?

Rip Hunter:
According to Gideon, there is a large meeting of terrorists and fringe groups looking to buy illegal arms.

Mick Rory:
Now that sounds like a vacation.

Leonard Snart:
Arms dealers and terrorists aren't exactly our kind of people, but they're the next best thing.

Carter Hall:
Well, looks like you and your lapdog get to earn your keep.

Mick Rory:
I'm no one's lapdog, bird-man.

Mick Rory:
[to Martin] You're a special kind of crazy. I like it.

Mick Rory:
Can I burn some stuff now?

Leonard Snart:
I wish you would.

Dr. Martin Stein:
We just have to track them. Fortunately, Alpha Particles are highly trackable.

Ray Palmer:
Yet unheard of in the 1970s. It's like we're trapped in the Stone Age.

Dr. Martin Stein:
I'll have you know that I was researching Alpha Particles when you were eating crayons.

Rip Hunter:
Oy! Where do you think you're going?

Dr. Martin Stein:
To break into my old lab and bring us back the particle tracker.

Rip Hunter:
Fine, but perhaps, you should take Jefferson and Sara to as your intermediaries. Look, interacting with yourself in the past can have catastrophic effects upon the future.

Dr. Martin Stein:
Fascinating.

[to Jefferson and Sara]

Dr. Martin Stein:
Let's go.

Ray Palmer:
I'll have the access code cracked and security disabled before you could say "breaking and entering." There. We're in.

Mick Rory:
I wouldn't be so sure about that.

Ray Palmer:
Why's that?

Leonard Snart:
Because you just tapped into a dummy box, which means those guards are gonna be here...

Mick Rory:
Quicker than you can say "rookie mistake."

Dr. Martin Stein:
Keep an eye on the door, and when I get back, stop flirting with me.

Sara Lance:
You were the one flirting with me.

Jefferson 'Jax' Jackson:
Look, what's the big deal? I mean, younger you isn't married yet, so technically it's not cheating.

Dr. Martin Stein:
October 1975. This is right when I meet my future wife, Clarissa. So obviously, we wouldn't want my former self tempted by a sexy assassin from the future.

Sara Lance:

Dr. Martin Stein:
Do not finish that sentence.

Ray Palmer:
In another life, you could've become an electrical engineer.

Leonard Snart:
Guess I dodged a bullet.

Ray Palmer:

Leonard Snart:
You spend all your time and money inventing a super-suit, and what do you do with it? Fly around like some incredible shrinking schmuck trying to save the world.

Ray Palmer:
Robbing banks for a living - I suppose that's more important?

Leonard Snart:
It's sure as hell more satisfying.

Ray Palmer:
Thinking like that is what makes you a criminal.

Leonard Snart:
No, it makes me a survivor. And there's gonna come a day when you wish you were too.

Dr. Martin Stein:

Sara Lance:

Jefferson 'Jax' Jackson:

Sara Lance:

Vandal Savage:

Firestorm:

[hits Vandal Savage with a blast of fire]

Firestorm:
I blast things too.

Firestorm:
It's all good. Savage is down.

Carter Hall:
Savage is not defeated by earthly means.

Firestorm:
Well, I hit him with a nuclear blast, so, you know, not that earthly.

Jefferson 'Jax' Jackson:
Boba Fett's back.

Ray Palmer:
Wow, it's a MIG-21. No one's ever been this close to one before.

Leonard Snart:
Are you quoting "Top Gun"?

Ray Palmer:
Maybe.

Ray Palmer:
I'm speaking Russian now, aren't I?

Leonard Snart:
Now you're annoying in multiple languages.

Valentina Vostok:
Seems intermission is over.

Leonard Snart:
You wouldn't want to miss Queen Nisia dancing naked with nymphs.

Valentina Vostok:
My favorite part of the ballet, but I've seen it so many times.

Mick Rory:
You better kill me now. If I ever get my hands on you, I'm gonna get all "Rocky IV" on your ass.

[Arkadin hits him]

Mick Rory:
I'm gonna remember that, comrade.

Ray Palmer:
Better go bone up on Vostok's CV.

Leonard Snart:
I guess I'll bone up on the ballet. Gideon, bone me.

Gideon:
We've traveled here because I have a new lead on Vandal Savage's location.

Rip Hunter:
Yes. Gideon managed to intercept this telefax concerning Savage's last known whereabouts.

Jefferson 'Jax' Jackson:
Tele-what?

Ray Palmer:
It's like an e-mail... uh, on paper.
