Alvin:
[sitting down to eat breakfast] Lambsyface! Who spilled the mustard on the waffle?

Elizabeth:
[mortified] That's lemon pie.

Announcer:
[to Elizabeth] Hey, you better say hello to Alvin; he's headed this way.

Elizabeth:
Hi, honey.

[Alvin enters the room]

Alvin:
Well, hi. I see you've been out in the garden again. You've got... How come you said, "Hi" before I got here?

Elizabeth:
I heard the pitter-patter of your tiny gunboats.

[Alvin's floor varnishing project has painted Elizabeth into her closet]

Elizabeth:
I'm going to ask you a direct question and I want a direct answer.

Alvin:
Shoot!

Elizabeth:
Don't tempt me.

[Elizabeth is still trapped in her closet by Alvin's floor varnishing project]

Elizabeth:
I've already got it figured out. I'll tell you what you do. Go get me a rope and a mop and a jack handle and a gallon of kerosine.

Alvin:
What do you want with all that junk?

Elizabeth:
Well, nothing. While you're out looking for them, I'll just walk across.

Alvin:
[to TV repairman] There's nothing wrong with the audio, just the video.

Elizabeth:
Suppose he doesn't understand jive talk, Daddy-o?
