Nothing. Surprisingly little happened, considering his affectionate nature. Are all fighters affectionate?

Sheridan 'Sherry':
I don't, as a rule, neck them.

Marcia Townsend Warren:
Who is she, Sherry?

Sheridan 'Sherry':
Therese? A graduate of the old speakeasies - ordinary, I suppose you'd call her.

Marcia Townsend Warren:
I'm afraid if I ever started, I'd call her more than *that*.

Sheridan 'Sherry':
I'm sorry, I thought you liked having me around more or less.

Marcia Townsend Warren:
I do. More or less, either one or the other. There, now you've got it.

Marcia Townsend Warren:
Tell them what you always do, darling, that what your grand-daughter does is none of their darn business.

Mrs. Fanny 'Grandma' Townsend:
I haven't said "darn" in twenty years.

Marcia Townsend Warren:
I don't want any dinner, and I'm bored and I have a headache.

Sheridan 'Sherry':
I know a cocktail that could cure two of those things, and I could cure the headache.

Sheridan 'Sherry':
You know half the time I adore you and the other half the time I could murder you. I bet I'm in love.

Marcia Townsend Warren:
Alas, good sir, he's made no proposals to me, improper or otherwise.

Edgar Holden:
[to Sherry] You. What's the matter with you, you slipping?

Marcia Townsend Warren:
[to prizefighter] First time I've ever seen you with your clothes on. I can't tell you how impressed I am.

Sheridan 'Sherry':
Real fun isn't easy to be had.

Marcia Townsend Warren:
In other words, always gay.

Sheridan 'Sherry':
Exactly.

Sheridan 'Sherry':
[to Oliver] I trust you. Why don't people trust me?

Mrs. Fanny 'Grandma' Townsend:
Maybe it's because they know you.

Sheridan 'Sherry':

Marcia Townsend Warren:
I'll tell you one thing. It's going to be the most marvelous party in the world or it's going to be a Hell, so watch out.

Sheridan 'Sherry':
I've always wondered if there really is a Hell.

Marcia Townsend Warren:
