Ahmad Dahlan:

Suppose we become caretakers of this organization, will we get a salary ?

Ahmad Dahlan:
I do hope that Muhammadiyah would be an organization whose purpose is to serve for the benefit of the people, and not individual interests. [... ] Try to make Muhammadiyah live forever, instead of trying to make a living out of Muhammadiyah.

Lurah Muhammad Noor:
We are family. We should not hate each other just to maintain our ideals. Each of us have the responsibility to jihad [strive] to become our best before Allah. But do we have to sacrifice the unity of our family ?

Ahmad Dahlan:
There's no intention of sacrificing anyone. Instead, I have always respected anyone who has different ideals from me.

Ahmad Dahlan:
We can have principles as long as we don't become fanatical. Because fanaticism is a sign of ignorant people. As Muslims, we must show that we can cooperate with everyone. Basically, "lakum dinukum waliyadin": Your faith is your faith, my faith is my faith.
