Marie:
You eat like an animal!

Michael:
Don't call me an animal.

Wells:
Let me ask you something. When you go to take a carrier away, and go to knock on the door, you're not worried you might get infected?

Michael:
I feel like I've slept a thousand years.

Marie:
Don't smile at me.

Michael:
I was smiling to myself.

Michael:
You never win, Wells

Wells:
Winning is only half the battle.

Wells:
What if there is no plague?

Michael:
Tell me again, Wells. Who do we protect? The people or the system?

Wells:
I don't think death is melodramatic.

Michael:
[to Wells] Stick to writing.

Marie:
You could have said no!

Wells:
[First lines] I'm told that there are points of space. Points of singularity, that transforms everything that reaches them. In heaven there was God. On Earth, we had the plague.

Marie:
[about someone she knew with the plague] Actually, once she got infected, I never saw her again.

Wells:
[Narrating] Scientists couldn't explain it, doctors couldn't cure it. So government instituted a system of surveillance to protect us from the carriers of the disease.

Michael:
[to Wells] I don't have the luxury of sitting in my room dreaming all day.

Michael:
[Playing basketball] Okay what are we at?

Wells:
[Thinks about it] Nineteen-twenty

Michael:
[laughs] You've got nine dude!

Wells:
You're at fifteen.

Michael:
I hope I'm not disturbing you two. [to Wells] You'd better get your things.

Michael:
You still believe in God, Marie?

Marie:
What?

Michael:
Your book. "The Plague". How does it end? Happily?

Marie:
Wells didn't finish it.
