John Baron:
Tonight at five o'clock I kill the President. One second after five there's a new President. What changes? Nothing!

John Baron:

John Baron:

John Baron:
I'm not actor, bustin' my leg on a stage so I can yell 'down with the tyrants'. If Booth wasn't such a ham he might've made it.

John Baron:

John Baron:

Ellen Benson:
Don't you have any feelings?

John Baron:
No, they were taken outta me by experts.

Sheriff Tod Shaw, Suddenly California:
You want an ice cream soda?

Peter Benson III:
That sounds good, but that's not what I'm thinking about.

Sheriff Tod Shaw, Suddenly California:
You want to go to a movie?

Peter Benson III:
There's just a war picture showing and mom doesn't let me see war pictures because of how daddy died. [stopping at a toystore window]

Sheriff Tod Shaw, Suddenly California:
You want that baseball bat?

Peter Benson III:
No but you're getting warmer. [points to a cap pistol]

Peter Benson:
You know I read about an experiment, tried to keep a kid away from germs, all scientifical. First time he went out in the rough he caught cold and died of pnuemonia.

Ellen Benson:
What's that got to do with Pidge?

Peter Benson:
It has everything to do with Pidge, the kid hadn't been exposed to it, he had no immunity.

Sheriff Tod Shaw, Suddenly California:
He has to learn that guns aren't always bad, it just depends on who uses them.

Peter Benson III:
Tod carries a gun, doesn't he?

Ellen Benson:
Yes he does.

Peter Benson III:
You stink

John Baron:
You've got guts, kid.

Peter Benson:
He's only 8.

John Baron:
A LOT of guts.

Sheriff Tod Shaw, Suddenly California:
Don't play God just because you have a gun.

John Baron:
You know when you have a gun you ARE in a way sort of a god. If you had the gun then you would be the god.

Sheriff Tod Shaw, Suddenly California:
You're a very careful man.

John Baron:
That's right.

Sheriff Tod Shaw, Suddenly California:
Planned on everything, huh?

John Baron:
Sheriff, the first man they shoot to the moon in a rocket will take pains, too. Of course, that's never been done before. Neither has this.

[first lines]

First Driver:
Officer, can you tell me the way to Three Rivers?

Slim Adams:
About two miles to the first main intersection, then turn left. It's about sixty miles.

First Driver:
Thanks, what town is this?

Slim Adams:
Suddenly.

First Driver:
Suddenly what?

Slim Adams:
No no, that's the name.

First Driver:
[laughs] That's a funny name for a town.

Slim Adams:
Uh huh, hangover from the old days; that's the way things used to happen here, suddenly.

First Driver:
I see.

Slim Adams:
Road agents, gamblers, gunfighters.

First Driver:
Well, I take it things have changed.

Slim Adams:
Uh huh. Things happen so slow now, the town council is figuring to change the name to Gradually.

First Driver:
[laughs] Thanks, officer.

Slim Adams:
Pleasure, come back.

[last lines]

Last Driver:
[stops car to ask for directions] Say, officer.

Sheriff Tod Shaw, Suddenly California:
Yeah?

Last Driver:
Could you tell me the way to Three Rivers?

Sheriff Tod Shaw, Suddenly California:
Ah, you go down to the first intersection, you turn left, it's about sixty miles.

Last Driver:
Thanks. What town in this?

Sheriff Tod Shaw, Suddenly California:
Suddenly.

Last Driver:
Suddenly what?

Sheriff Tod Shaw, Suddenly California:
No, that's the name.

Last Driver:
That's a funny name for a town. [begins to drive away]

Sheriff Tod Shaw, Suddenly California:
Oh, I don't know. I don't know about that.

Sheriff Tod Shaw, Suddenly California:
When a house is on fire everybody must come and help put it out... because the next time it just might be your house.

John Baron:
You don't like me, do you?

Ellen Benson:
You're an animal.

John Baron:
I don't like you either.

Ellen Benson:
Animals kill each other to live. That's what you're doing.

John Baron:

Slim Adams:
What the Hades is going on in this burg? Did some galoot make a uranium strike?
