The Amazing Mr. Blunden

Mr. Blunden:
Do you think you'd be afraid if you saw... a ghost? These ghosts would appear to you very much like ordinary people... children of your own age, or even an old man, such as myself.

[about the Allen's new home]

Bus Driver:
Ghoulies and ghosties and long-leggedy beasties, that place 'as got 'em.

Lucy Allen:
Please let us be happy here... and don't let there be any ghosts.

Georgie Latimer:
You can be a ghost, but you don't have to be dead.

Mrs. Wickens the Housekeeper:
Thirty thousand pounds if 'e snuffs it!

Mr. Blunden:
They must not run away, Mrs. Wickens. Lock them up!

Sara Latimer:
Someone is trying to tell us how to escape; not to another place, but to another time.

[the children try to discover if a substance is poisonous]

Georgie Latimer:
I'm not giving it to her because I think it is poison, I'm only making sure it isn't! Why are you pulling a funny face? It's either Mrs. Wickens or her cat, and that cat never did anyone any harm!

Mr. Blunden:
I have suffered for 100 years... tormented by my own conscience. It seemed more like a thousand years.

Lucy Allen:
You can't grin if you've got no head...

Jamie Allen:
Please, don't be dead. Sara, wake up!

Thomas:
Miss Sara. Is she alright?

Jamie Allen:
They're alive, but I can't wake them up, Tom. They've been drugged!

Jamie Allen:

Mr. Blunden:

Mr. Blunden:
James, we will go together. The fire will not touch you... Now is the time. Look straight ahead, and don't be afraid.

Lucy Allen:
You're too late, Mr. Blunden! You're always too late!

Lucy Allen:
[Talking to the house] It's all very well for you, you'll belong to somebody again. But what about us? Where do we belong?

Lucy Allen:
Poor books. How sad.

Sara Latimer:
It's pleased, Georgie. The library is pleased!

Mr. Blunden:
[To Sara] Do stop sniveling in front of the servants. It will do no good!

Jamie Allen:
Are you Smith?

Mr. Clutterbug:
I beg your pardon?

Jamie Allen:
Are you Smith? Blunden, Claverton and Smith.

Mr. Clutterbug:
No sonny-jim, I am Mr. Clutterbug.

Jamie Allen:
You should be pleased.

Mr. Clutterbug:
Why?

Jamie Allen:
No one could forget a name like that. [leaves]

Mr. Claverton:
It is a silly name.

Mr. Clutterbug:
I'm sorry... sir.

Mr. Blunden:
We three kings of Orient are my dears!

Mrs. Wickens the Housekeeper:
Now where's she going for her honeymoon like she says; Paris, Rome... even if its only the Isle of Wight for God's sake put her out of her misery!

Uncle Bertie:
It may well be the Isle of Wight dear mother-in-law.

Bella:
The Isle of Wight? God strewth!

Uncle Bertie:
Steady dearest. The truth is financially I am hopelessly embarassed, hopelessly, I haven't said so as I had no wish to spoil our wedding day.

Mrs. Wickens the Housekeeper:
