Eddie Roman:
[after getting his lost wallet returned] How do you like that for an honest guy!

Gino:
I don't... Silly, law-abiding jerk.

Emmerrich Johnson:
You've been to Havana, haven't you, Mrs. Roman?

Lorna Roman:
No, I've never been there.

Eddie Roman:
Lorna doesn't travel much.

Emmerrich Johnson:
Doctor's orders?

Eddie Roman:
No, mine!

Emmerrich Johnson:
Mr. Roman, could I ask you a very personal question?

Eddie Roman:
Yes, of course!

Emmerrich Johnson:
What is your business... really?

Eddie Roman:
Gino, what business would you say we were in... really?

Gino:
[Sardonically] Oh, I'd say the amusement business.

Emmerrich Johnson:
The amusement business?

Gino:
Yes, strictly for laughs. [after an awkward moment, Johnson laughs nervously with Roman and Gino]

Chuck Scott:
You never saw me before, but you helped me. Why?

Midnight:
Cops! I hate cops!

Lorna Roman:
[looking out at the ocean] What's out there straight ahead?

Chuck Scott:
Havana, I think.

Lorna Roman:
Have you ever been there?

Chuck Scott:
Yes, it was a long time ago.

Lorna Roman:
What was it like?

Chuck Scott:
Oh, for me it was cheap hotels, cheap restaurants, cheap friends... All places are alike when you're broke.

Lorna Roman:
It would be worth a thousand dollars to me to get to Havana.

Chuck Scott:
A thousand dollars?

Lorna Roman:
Yes!

Chuck Scott:
Steamship ticket's only about $30.

Lorna Roman:
I could never make it alone.

Chuck Scott:
Why not?

Lorna Roman:
Have you ever been afraid? Really afraid?

Chuck Scott:
Whaddya want me to do?

Lorna Roman:
I want you to take me to Havana.

Chuck Scott:
But why me?

Lorna Roman:
I think I can trust you.

Chuck Scott:
You mean you think I look... uh... like I need a thousand dollars.

Lorna Roman:
What happen to Clayburn?

Chuck Scott:
He's gone, Miss... ?

Lorna Roman:
It's Mrs. Roman.

Chuck Scott:
I beg your pardon... I didn't know.

Lorna Roman:
Oh, that's all right. I think I like it better the other way.

Lorna Roman:
Tell me again.

Chuck Scott:
I love you.

Lorna Roman:
I want you to keep on telling me that as long as we're together.

Chuck Scott:
That'll be forever.

Chuck Scott:
Can't I make you understand you've got the wrong man... I loved her.

Lt. Acosta:
You loved her so you killed her... the understandable.

Chuck Scott:

Lt. Acosta:
