Carmen:
[Over-Voice] Dear Lily By the time you get this, I'll be far away. I've been thinking a lot about things lately. About you, me, and most of all, about friendship. We keep telling each other that people change, but over time, they want different things. I hope you know that I'll always be your friend. And I'll always love you, and care about you.

Lily:
You're so stupid! Oh no!

Carmen:
[Over-voice] But there's only so many times I can explain who I am. And it hurts when I speak and you don't listen.

Lily:
[Panicking] Johnny! Johnny, wake up!

Johnny:
[Half asleep] What?

Lily:
Where's your phone? I need to find Esme

Carmen:
Which is why its time for me to go away. To have an adventure. To face my destiny. Tell Mike I'm sorry. That I'll miss him everyday. Just like I'll miss you. With all my love, Carmen.

Jody:
You know what she should be asking, but she's not going to. What its like to be a kid whose mum just died, or their dad's hooked on drugs, and its not safe to live at home anymore, or their mums in jail, and there's no one left to look after them. Is she gonna ask them what its like to be dumped in a house with strangers, when 10 days ago, you thought you had a family, realising you're not normal anymore, 'cos you're that care kid. And its always gonna be like that dream at school where you've turned up at school in your undies, and everyone is staring. And its just you. Going to ask 'em about that? Yeah right. Course she will.
