Hope Chayse:
[to Karen] You don't want to make me angry, I just got out of the hospital and my medication is wearing off.

Adam:

Agent Kara Hastings:
It was self defense.

Adam:
So violence isn't genetic.

Karen:

Little girl:
[sees Adam] It's a man!

Adam:
[Hope points out her uncles in a picture] Where are they?

Hope Chayse:
They died before I was born.

Adam:
How did they die?

Hope Chayse:
In the war.

Adam:
What war?

Hope Chayse:
[voice over] I know that Adam has to find out the truth, but I just can't figure out how to tell him right now. [to Adam] Let's go climb a tree.

Adam:
I'm sorry.

Hope Chayse:
You're sorry? I'm the one who's sorry, I brought you into a world that didn't want you.

Hope Chayse:
Why are you helping me?

Agent Kara Hastings:
I'm a cop, not a killer.

Lila, Karen's Sister:
[dressed up in men's clothes] Looking for a boyfriend?

Hope Chayse:
I'm looking for Adam.

Lila, Karen's Sister:
Sorry, I can't help you there. [walks away]

Hope Chayse:

Lila, Karen's Sister:
