Private Detective Jerry Church:

Lily - Ernie Paul's Moll:
[Suggestively] That's the way to have any man.

Det. Sgt. Sweeney:

Ernie Paul:
[after seeing Zanini collapse] Somebody get a doctor! Is there a doctor in the house>

Dr. Fish:
[Coming out of the crowd] I'm a doctor.

Ernie Paul:
You're a doctor? See what you can do for him.

Dr. Fish:
[after examining him briefly] There's nothing I can do for him. The man's dead!

Night Club Manager:
[Seeing Sweeney helping himself to liquor] Who asked you to have a drink?

Det. Sgt. Sweeney:
[Trying to intimidate him] Where wee you on the night of January?

Night Club Manager:
[Calling his bluff] What month?

Det. Sgt. Sweeney:
Never mind.

Det. Sgt. Sweeney:
If I hadn't lost my badge, i'd turn it in.
