[amused] Hey, watch your language.

You're gonna finish the robbery, you and Luke will get caught by the cops and go to jail and there's nothing you can do about it.

Gabe O'Brien:
Why?

Jumpsuit Guy:
Because that's how it's been written.

Gabe O'Brien:
Written? By who?

Jumpsuit Guy:
By the writer.

Gabe O'Brien:
Writer? What writer?

Jumpsuit Guy:
The one who writes your life. Who else?

Himself - Host:

Narrator:
Forty years ago, Rod Serling introduced us to a monster. A monster so powerful, he was able to make the world disappear, just by using his mind. For the residents of Peaksville, Ohio, the nightmare had begun. The monster knew their every thought, could feel their every emotion, and when they made him angry, which was often, he would banish them into a cornfield, from which there was no return. And the most frightening about this monster was that he was only six years old. Now, it's forty years later, and the people of Peaksville are still in Hell. Oh, yes, there's one other thing. The monster now has a child of his own, and though she possesses none of her father's powers, he still lovers her very... very much.

Come on, open the damn door. [raps it again] Come on, what the hell're you doing in there?

Will Marshall:
...Would that make *you* open the door?

Holly:
So quiet, it's creepy. On Saturdays people have their music cranked up, football games blaring or something. It's weird how they holed up in there.

Will Marshall:
They just want to be left alone, sweetie, it's still a free country.

Holly:
I know that. Stop acting so smug like you're the only one who knows what's going on! No wonder we don't fit in here, you act so above everyone.

Will Marshall:
You wanna fit in with people like Phyllis who's afraid to do anything unless it's approved by a military committee or Dylan who's afraid his sperm count will drop if he actually used his brain for five minutes?

Holly:
They're our neighbours.

Will Marshall:
You wanted to move here honey, I didn't.

Holly:
I thought it was a good place to settle in and start a family.

Will Marshall:
It is and we will keep trying.

Holly:
I'm scared. Something little disrupts our life and nobody takes it in stride anymore. Maybe the world is right, now we can't help but react that way, I don't wanna be like that.

Dr. Leslie Coburn:
Mission to Zebulon? I don't get it.

Harry Radditch:
My virus is not from this earth.

Dr. Leslie Coburn:
Your virus is from planet Zebulon?

Harry Radditch:
No, it's from the book. The story, read the back cover.

Dr. Leslie Coburn:
This is ridiculous.

Harry Radditch:
Please, just read it.

Dr. Leslie Coburn:
'Mission to Zebulon takes a disastrous turn when crew members contract a hostile virus whose first symptoms include uncontrollable bleeding and a strange pattern of black skin protrusions. Their only hope is to find an antidote, something that will reverse the process before the virus starts purging all the blood from the bodies of its victims'. This is a fictional virus, Harry!

Harry Radditch:
I said you wouldn't believe me.

Rhonda Harrington:
How do you spread a fictional disease?

Dr. Leslie Coburn:
[takes off her coat and finds welts on her arms] Question is, how do you cure a fictional disease?

Rhonda Harrington:
How did they beat it in that book?

Dr. Leslie Coburn:
They didn't.

Rhonda Harrington:
So we're going to die because some lousy writer couldn't come up with a happy ending?

Dr. Leslie Coburn:
It's the placebo effect. An imaginary illness calls for an imaginary cure.

Rhonda Harrington:
We're dying, Leslie! We need a real cure!

Dr. Leslie Coburn:
[picks up the newspaper] What do we know about meteors?

Rhonda Harrington:
What?

Dr. Leslie Coburn:
They're NOT of this earth!

Himself - Host:
[opening narration] Dr. Leslie Coburn has always treated Harry with a placebo, an imaginary cure for his imaginary illnesses. But what will this young doctor do when her patient contracts a real disease? A disease found only in the Twilight Zone.

Himself - Host:
