Turning Paige

Jeff Simm:
[Stuttering] I gotta ask ya, why, why did ya bring three pairs of shoes hey Dad?

Ross Fleming:
Calling a payoff again.

Jeff Simm:
You bring me a bounty of footwear, I promise never to show my face again? That sorta thing?

Ross Fleming:
I would never put either of us in jeopardy ever again do you hear me?

Jeff Simm:
[Stuttering] You want me to-to put my pictures away and not-not mention Mom or Paige's presence, is that what you want me to do?

Ross Fleming:
[Yelling] I want you to have consideration for your sister!

Paige Fleming:
I never told you the truth about anything!

Ms. Sheila Newlands:
So stop wasting my time and tell me the truth for once!

Ross Fleming:

[he motions for Paige to sit down]

Ross Fleming:
You feeling sick?

Paige Fleming:
Yeah, I might be.

Ross Fleming:

Paige Fleming:
[Slurring her words] Yeah, very sick.

Ross Fleming:
This is um... it's for you.

[Ross taps on a birthday gift]

Paige Fleming:
What is it?

Ross Fleming:
Open it. From your old man.

[Paige opens the gift revealing a Heroin needle-like pen with ink]

Ross Fleming:
It's a pen. I thought it's be nice for your stories, do you like it?

[Paige doesn't say anything]

Ross Fleming:
Don't like it. OK so, I'm real late. It's real busy down there too. Tell me what I do, do I call the school? Paige? What should I do?

Paige Fleming:
Late for what?

Ross Fleming:
What?

Paige Fleming:
Don't have to.

Ross Fleming:
I don't have to what? [Ross look at her] You know what? You'd better stay home, you look God-awful.

Ross Fleming:
So what was in your mind then when you went down there, I'm curious to know. What were you thinking? You were gonna check up on me?

Paige Fleming:
Doesn't matter.

Ross Fleming:
It's don't doesn't matter. I'm asking you this one question, now I want you to answer me, do you see yourself now as my-my probation officer?

Paige Fleming:
Do not yell, I'm not upset.

Ross Fleming:
Well I am upset.

Paige Fleming:
It was my fault OK? And, you slipped and I knew it, I, you knew I knew it. We ignored it.

[Ross goes to light a cigarette]

Ross Fleming:
OK. I slipped. OK.

Paige Fleming:
What else did we ignore?

Ross Fleming:
Oh, ok this is starting to make sense. What other lies did that little snot fill your head with?

Paige Fleming:

Ross Fleming:
What'ed he say I provoked that attack yesterday? I deserved what I got the other time in the park?

Paige Fleming:

Ross Fleming:

Paige Fleming:

Ross Fleming:
Here's another free piece of advice for you to OK? Next time you want a shoulder to cry on, you want some support, go find yourself something you don't think is a total f*** up!
