Westbound

Rod Miller:
[going into the stage stop] Well, they tell me they got a good man runnin' this place.

Capt. John Hayes:
[laconically] Let you know after I drink his coffee.

Clay Putnam:
You walk out of this house and you go out the way you came in... with nothing but the clothes on your back! I wouldn't depend on goin' to Hayes either... cause Mace is gonna kill him... if he already hasn't.

Norma Putnam:
I love you, Clay. I guess I know I always will... but if you let anything happen to John Hayes, I swear I'll see you hang! [Goes up the stairs]

Russ:
[Admiring Norma] That's a lot of woman!

Mace:
Ever here any of us disagreeing... about that?

Henchman:
[Realizing that their horses have been run off] You know, it's ten miles back to town!

Russ:
[after a pause, he punches him, knocks him to the ground, and replies dryly] Closer to eleven.

Norma Putnam:
Why didn't you write to me?

Capt. John Hayes:
[after a pause] Would it have made any difference?

Norma Putnam:
[after a pause] Might have.

Capt. John Hayes:
My bad luck.

Mace:
Trouble with you, Clay, is that you're rich enough to be an honorable man. I can't afford it.

Clay Putnam:
[Shocked that his men have killed a little girl] And to think this happened in the name of the Confederacy!

Mace:
Whether the South wins or loses means nothing to me - never has!
