[Chuck has accepted a check for $5000 to keep the Whirlybirds on a retainer]

Chuck Martin:
Well, that's a whole lot of money, huh?

P. T. Moore:
Boy, I sure don't like the smell of it.

Chuck Martin:
Wasn't planning to smell it; I wasn't even planning to deposit it.

[Chuck shows Larkin the $5000 check]

Larkin:
What's that for?

P. T. Moore:
For losing our memories, for not believing our eyes, for keeping our mouths shut.

Larkin:
Seems to me you're doing an awful lot of talking for a couple of guys being paid to keep your mouths shut.

Chuck Martin:
If you put two and two together you get four, if we don't put two and two together, we get five thousand.

Larkin:
That's pretty fancy arithmetic.

Chuck Martin:
I like four better than five thousand.

[while riding in Chuck's helicopter]

Carter Jameson:
Oh, ho! This is fantastic - liking riding on a magic carpet! I may buy one of these.

Chuck Martin:
Helen, buy you a steak?

Helen Carter:
Do you think you can afford it?

P.T. Moore:
First we go to the bank. We gotta make sure his check is better than his bomb.

Helen Carter:
Is this the day the little blonde solos?

Chuck Martin:
Yeah. Kind of pretty isn't she.

Helen Carter:
If you like peroxide.

P.T. Moore:
I wouldn't put anything past old Raymond - not if he could see a nickle profit in it.

Chuck Martin:
Well, he might be tight fisted, but that doesn't mean he'd commit murder.

P.T. Moore:
Not even if I raised the ante to a dime?

Chuck Martin:
So somebody staged a phony airplane crash and messed up a legitimate insurance claim. Why?

Lt. Hurst:
Yeah, why? To cover a murder that wasn't a murder?... Why?

Lt. Hurst:
P.T., are you a fisherman?

P.T. Moore:
Yeah and a darned good one.

Lt. Hurst:
What do you do when the fish won't strike; when they won't rise to your bait?

P.T. Moore:
You change the bait. What's that got to do with this? We're chasin' a murderer who didn't even commit a murder.
