Aurora Aksnes

Aurora Aksnes otherwise known as AURORA is a Norwegian singer song writer born in June 15th, 1996. Her genres of music include Folktronica, Indie Pop, Alternative Rock, and Baroque Pop. She has two sisters, Viktoria Aksnes and Miranda Aksnes. She released her debut EP “Running with the Wolves” in 2015 to be followed by her debut album “All My Demons Greeting Me As A Friend” the following year in May. The album featured songs such as “Conqueror” “Running with the Wolves” “(5,4,3,2,1) Murder Song” “Winter Bird” and “Runaway” She went on tour and record more music in the remainder of 2016 and 2017. In 2018 AURORA released her second EP of a total length of 8 songs titled “Infections Of A Different Kind” On June 7th, 2019 she followed the EP with a sophomore album titled “A Different Kind Of Human” featuring songs such as “The River” “Animal” and “The Seed” the album went on to be Amazon’s album of the week for a brief time. Later that year, AURORA announced she would be featured on the soon to be popular album for the Disney movie Frozen 2. She was one of the singers in the hit song “Into The Unknown” Resulting from AURORA’s participation on the track, she performed with voice actors of the Frozen 2 character Elsa, on the Oscars stage. The next month, AURORA released her own version of the track Into The Unknown, produced by Norwegian producer Magnus Skylstad. AURORA is known for having a warm and cheerful disposition. She regularly advocates for saving the Earth and love for all. Some of this through her music which has often been described as naturesque and not quite of this world.
