In the early 1980`s Gore Vidal was on our UK TV being interviewed. He said, among other caustically eloquent remarks, ... "Your Country is like my Country, we`re still waiting for a Leader, as well".

What does the non-sensical term "Groundless Hope" mean? Is that an "Americanisation" word or phrase? How was the grammatical sense of his Song Lyrics, one wonders?

The esteemed Roman Scholar, Pliny the Elder, wasn`t just "observing" Vesuvius, he was valiantly trying to rescue a Friend and his Family and inhaled the ash from the Volcano while doing so.
