“Write that down” was originally said, in this exact comedic cadence, by Sissy Spacek’s “lush mom” character in the 1999 movie Blast From The Past. She was rattling off a list telling her son “write that down” as she told him what a liquor store was, what a Holiday Inn was, and what could be purchased from each….”write that down”.
