In 1950, Alan Turing published his thesis on Natural Language Processing (NLP), which is now rather well-known as its popularised term, the “Turing Test”. He prescribed, what would eventually be the auto-process for human-machine interaction. This is largely seen as the foundation to modern Machine Learning – a key component that would go on to develop Artificial Intelligence as we know it. It stands front and centre to a vast majority of day-to-day applications, and gadgets we use today. Engineer.ai, for example, is a good way to see NLP in action. The programme is a software-development tool that has over 20,000 descriptions of analysis and follow-ups. It lets the user create their very own application software through this process in a matter of minutes (also, without having no knowledge of coding at all).
