Gerald Locklin (February 17, 1941 – January 17, 2021) was a prolific American poet and writer who taught English at California State University Long Beach from 1965-2007, was the poetry editor of Chiron Review, author of over 150 books, and a longtime friend of Charles Bukowski, who championed Locklin as the best writer in L.A. He died of COVID-19 complications in January 2021.
