I don't believe Cuomo would pardon himself, because the groping crime he’s under investigation for in the Commission complaint is (a) considered a misdemeanor and not very serious (i.e., it’s not considered felony sexual assault), and (b) he has vigorously denied the allegation and a pardon would be tantamount to a confession of guilt.

I think by taking the meeting, and I don't think you need a lot of training for this, by taking the meeting, you've made yourself beholden to Putin in terms of however Donald Trump wants to characterize it down the road, so that even if nothing inappropriate happens at the meeting, you have that vulnerability as well.

For example, if the President said to Comey, 'Listen, I'm not telling you what to do, do what you think is right, but I really hope you can let this go on Flynn because I think he's a great guy,' there's a lot of people who think that would be an inappropriate statement. There's a difference between inappropriate and criminal.
