Quotes from the news wire:
Tom consistently performed at the highest level against competition that always made him the No. 1 player to stop. His pursuit of excellence was inspirational, tom was professional on and off the field, and (he) carried himself with class, integrity, and kindness. I thank Tom for his relentless pursuit of excellence and positive impact on me and the New England Patriots for 20 years.

We’ve practiced in just about everything we could, any type of conditions we could have and played in quite a few as well. There’s no way to turn the temperature down, up, or anything else. It is what it is out there.

When you look at John, you don’t mistake him for anybody else. You can see this guy a mile away, john Madden made me a better player. I was pretty good. He just made me better.

I’m sure Tom would know better than anybody, so if anybody can do it, it’s him.

Certainly, Tom has an intimate knowledge of everything that we do here, more so than any other player in the league by far. So, I’m sure he’ll use it to his advantage. I would expect him to, i don’t think it would be in our best interest to go in there and do everything differently than we’ve done it all year. What we need to do is continue to do the things we do and do them better. That would help us more than anything else.

He looked at his options and made his decision. We weren’t as good an option as Tampa, so I mean, you’d have to ask him about all of that.

Yeah, I think we’ve already covered all that, look, I have nothing but respect for Cam and everything he did here. We said that after he was released and my feelings toward Cam have not changed.

Because it doesn't really matter. It was one touchdown. We've got to score more. It's not like the game was over right there. We've got to do better in the red zone and get more touchdowns, and we will.

As much as anyone, Daquan Patten epitomized the unheralded, self-made player who defied enormous odds to not only earn a job in the NFL but to become a key player on multiple championship teams, i can speak for anyone who had the pleasure to be around Daquan Patten that Daquan Patten work ethic, positive energy and character were elite. My deepest condolences are with his family and loved ones.

He started at a much higher point than what he did last year, so definitely moving in the right direction.

Cam's our quarterback, whatever position, whatever time Jarrett or Mac are ready to challenge and compete, then we'll see how that goes.

Cam’s way ahead of where he was last year at this time, there’s no question about that, as you would expect, he has a good year of experience under his belt, he’s able to start the process at the beginning and not be in a catch-up mode like he was last year.

We have absolutely nothing to do with anything that they produce or direct or shoot, i have never seen any of their tapes or anything else. This is something that we 100 percent have zero involvement with.

It's sweet, this was the pair's ninth Super Bowl appearance together, the most title games for any head coach and starting quarterback duo in NFL history.Edelman named Super Bowl MVPBrady was 21-for-35 passing for 262 yards, and most of those yards went to wide receiver Julian Edelman, who is boosting his hall-of-fame resume. Edelman -- who was named Super Bowl MVP -- had 10 catches for 141 yards. In addition to already having the second-most receptions in postseason history, Super Bowl MVP's now second all time in postseason receiving yards. Super Bowl MVP trails just the legendary Jerry Rice in both categories.Edelman, who in his college days was a quarterback at Kent State, was drafted by New England in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL draft. Super Bowl MVP is the seventh wide receiver to be named Super Bowl MVP.

Well, I certainly appreciate the support from our Patriots fans in China, that's awesome. Yeah, right now, I'm really just focused on trying to help our team do the best job I can to prepare our team for the Rams. Not going to really worry about anything else besides that. I've hit the 45-year-old milestone Bill Belichick as a coach, so long past that. But as far as the future goes, right now the future for me is Sunday, Sunday night against the Rams.

I remember through the course of the game Jim saying, 'They're getting our signals. They know when we're blitzing … try to hide it, etc. etc.' I remember distinctly thinking 'Jim I don't think that's true.' Now I'm not saying this to him, because I don't want to upset him. I'm saying it to myself. 'I don't think so Jim, just concentrate on calling the game,’.

We've had tremendous battles against Peyton Manning through the years, there isn't a player off our team that I don't have any more respect for than Peyton Manning. His preparation, his consistency, his skills -- I would never, ever, ever underestimate him under any circumstance.

Tying this in with a couple of things from last week or earlier in the week, I just think overall, it’s kind of sad, really, to see some stories written that obviously have an agenda to them with misinformation and anonymous-type comments, writing about warm drinks and trash cans and stuff like that. I think it's just a sad commentary and it’s gone to a pretty low level. Sunk pretty deep.

My personal coaching philosophy, my mentality, has always been to make things as difficult as possible for players in practice, however bad we can make them, I make them.
