There's no data at all to suggest that Republicans are improving their image or that they're gaining any ground with Latino voters. The big question is just going to be, how high is the Latino turnout ?

I think that the turnout is not guaranteed and all of the candidates and the interest groups have a lot of work to do, they don't want the anger to sit there and fester and turn into so much frustration that people don't feel that there is anything they can do.

I have not seen any data that I would consider an accurate reflection of Latinos that Republicans are increasing( Texas Latinos share), or they will be over 25 percent of those voters, the only reason it would be different is not that they are winning over more people ; it would be if some Latinos who are Democratically leaning stay home.

The difference with Bush is he has access to the Mexican American experience, which is really different than the Cuban experience, rubio's biography is not unlike other immigrants, but Cubans had advantages that other immigrants don't. His experiences don't have the same resonance.
