Tadataka Unno is a famous Japanese jazz pianist, age 40 in 2020, who was beaten while exiting the 135th St subway station in the Harlem area of New York, New York, in the US in September 2020. He required surgery. He tried to avoid the assailants blocking the turnstile but was pushed and "badly"beaten. The eight black teens, which were male and female, mistakently thought Unno was of Chinese descent.The incident was reported in several countries, including Canada, the Republic of China (Taiwan, not to be confused with the People's Republic of China, Japan, etc. Unno is married to a woman named Sayaka and has a baby with her.
