This mischaracterization of God is out of harmony with the message of the Bible itself. Luke 1, which records the announcement to Mary that she would bear the Messiah, says that "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy—the Son of God." (Luke 1:35 ESV). By a miracle that is not explained, God powerfully worked to produce, in Mary's womb, a child who was truly the His Son. That is not "debauchery."
