Mace is the first woman to graduate from the Corps of Cadets program at The Citadel. Since 2018, Mace has served as a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives for District 99, covering Hanahan, northeast Mount Pleasant, and Daniel Island, South Carolina. Mace is the first Republican woman to be elected to Congress from South Carolina.
