I remember when I first started acting, sort of 16 or 17, I think a lot of actors have their James Dean phase where every audition, no matter what the part is, they come in and do a James Dean impression. I definitely had one of those.

In 2009, he portrayed Salvador Dalí in Little Ashes. That same year, a documentary film, Robsessed, about the actor's fame and popularity, was released. He appeared as a troubled young man in Remember Me and also starred in a romantic drama, Water for Elephants. His performance as a tough, cold-hearted and calculating billionaire in David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis, earned him critical praise.
