I'm filled with a lot of sadness tonight because I'm accepting an award at such a strange time, my experience of making this film made me very aware of the sadness and the dehumanization of people at the times of war, and the repercussions of war.

Adrien Brody

Adrien Nicholas Brody (born April 14, 1973) is an American actor and producer. He received widespread recognition and acclaim after starring as Władysław Szpilman in Roman Polanski's The Pianist (2002), for which he won the Academy Award for Best Actor at age 29, becoming the youngest actor to win in that category.
