Dewey Phillip "Phil" Bryant is an American politician and member of the Republican Party from Mississippi. Bryant is the 63rd and current Governor of Mississippi, having defeated Democratic nominee Johnny DuPree in the 2011 gubernatorial election. He previously served as the 31st Lieutenant Governor of Mississippi from 2008 to 2012 and the 40th State Auditor of Mississippi from 1996 to 2008.
