The Bible is the Greatest book of wisdom and knowledge ever written and published. In fact, it is the most widely read book in the world, the most fiercely debated and the most often quoted book in history. Thus, the Bible is the Greatest book of all time. It is a collection of books that encompasses past or ancient stories, chronicles, teachings, laws, parables, proverbs, psalms, teachers, preachers, heroes, heroines, saints, kings, queens, prophecies, prophets, prophetesses, miracles, warnings, signs, wonders, mysteries, revelations (the past, present and future events collectively) and much more than that, including extraordinary insights or words of wisdom (encouragement) from Jesus Christ himself (the greatest teacher and inspirator of all time), king Solomon, king David, saint Paul among other ancient wise men and women. Billions of copies have been published and sold globally already. And many more copies will be published and sold sooner or later. In other words, the Bible has been read by the world as a whole. Even the posterity (all future generations ahead) will surely read the Bible. You can bet your bottom dollar. -Emeasoba George

Ungratefulness is a habitual act of being unappreciative or unthankful for something done for oneself or for someone else. Have you been ungrateful or grateful all the while? However, you should be grateful to everyone for everything. But most importantly, you ought to be more grateful to God (Almighty) from whom all blessings flow. Moreover, every good and perfect thing you have at your possession now came from him (James 1:17). Although, he gave them to you through humans. Nevertheless, regardless of any intermediary involved. You've got to be grateful to him (God). For, without him in your life, work, career, business and what have you? You cannot and will never be successful. So come on, be grateful to God at all times. Because, it pays to be grateful. -Emeasoba George

You’ve got to have dreams. If you don’t continue to have dreams, then you’re only defeating yourself. If you continue to follow your dreams, you’re going to succeed.

I tell other cancer patients to do something good for somebody every day,” Marelle said. “It doesn’t have to be big—it can be as simple as opening the door or saying good morning to someone. If that person says good morning back and tells you how he or she is doing, listen to what that person is saying. It took me having a setback with cancer to realize that I haven’t paid as much attention to other people as I should have. And as I started doing things for others, I realized it was giving me strength to do more for myself.

In my case, the stats that were being quoted to me were not about me personally. I’m not a stat, I’m a person. I considered myself a ‘stat breaker.

I would tell someone who’s battling cancer to write down the five to ten things that you look forward to doing with the rest of your life. In other words, your future should be the focus. For example, ‘I want to see my grandchildren,’ or ‘I want to take that trip.’ You’ve got to find something to look forward to that will give you strength. You want it to draw you like a magnet. If you don’t try to self-motivate yourself through positive thoughts, cancer will win because it’s not easily defeated.

One of the things that can help people with cancer is having something that you really look forward to doing, so that you can focus on that while the treatments are going on. I guess it’s like saying, ‘I have unfinished business left before I die.

When you’re a coach or athlete and you win a championship, you realize that the championship was really a work-in-progress. What you went through during the pre-season, in the regular-season and then during the post-season enabled you to win a title. I treated the stages of my cancer treatment as the phases of a championship season, and it kept me on track to accomplishing my ultimate goal.

Refusing and insisting not to lower your own standard in order to accommodate those who refuse to raise theirs is just what it really means to be principled in life. Are you principled or unprincipled? However, you should be principled in all you do in life. Because, to be principled is just like to be self-controlled and whoever that is principled or self-controlled cannot and will never be tossed around by anyone or anything. Yes! you heard me right. Besides that, it pays to be principled at all times (mark you). -Emeasoba George
