Beau Hutton:

Chiles Stanton:
I happen to be in consideration as the new opening act for Miss Kelly Canter. James, my new manager, booked me this gig as a rehearsal... not that I need it.

Beau Hutton:
Clint, tell me Garth Brooks here is not opening for me.

Clint:
She's not, she's closing for you. Can't do nothing about it either.

Beau Hutton:
This is your place, you can tell her no.

Clint:
Not for James Canter, I can't.

Beau Hutton:
You're gonna let this prom queen get up on stage? For Christ's, sake, Patsy Cline sang here.

Clint:
I don't care, she's still gonna play. I'm not cutting your set, Beau, you got the same three songs.

Chiles Stanton:
Don't worry, Beau. I have no intention of stealing your invisible career. See, I want one.

James Canter:
The first time I heard you sing... I thought that it must be what angels sound like. Thought I died and gone to heaven.

Kelly Canter:
I love that story.

James Canter:

James Canter:
[to reporters] We couldn't be happier. We got 3 sold out shows, we got the hottest 2 acts of country music coming around in a long time, and Texas never seen anything like this.

Reporter:
Kelly, how do you feel returning to Dallas?

Kelly Canter:
I feel ok, I think it's gonna be good.

Reporter:

Kelly Canter:
I love y'all, thanks for coming out.

James Canter:
She looks great, doesn't she, guys?

Kelly Canter:

Chiles Stanton:

Kelly Canter:

Chiles Stanton:

Kelly Canter:

Chiles Stanton:
And James is being so helpful! I won't sell it on e-Bay or anything, I've just been a fan of yours since I was a little girl.

Kelly Canter:

Chiles Stanton:
[to James] This is amazing, James! It's so beautiful, I don't even wanna pee in the toilet! Aaaah!

James Canter:

Chiles Stanton:

James Canter:

Kelly Canter:

Chiles Stanton:
Well... as a woman in this industry, people have a habit of thinking I'm some kind of ignoramous. And my pageant training doesn't exactly help things, so I have to overcompensate. I don't want people to think I'm some dumb beauty queen.

Beau Hutton:
I never called you a dumb beauty queen. I'm serious, anybody that says "ignoramous" so casually... that's not dumb at all.

Beau's Bandmate:
Ugh. Why don't y'all sleep together and get this over with?

Chiles Stanton:
Don't make me say it.

Beau Hutton:
Say what?

Chiles Stanton:
You're being very rude right now.

Beau Hutton:
Tell me what you want.

Chiles Stanton:
Nothing. [they kiss]

Chiles Stanton:
[singing]... whiskey drowns and the beer chases my blues away. [she sees Beau on the doorway] Oh hi Beau.

Beau Hutton:

That was seven and a half months ago. And it was just one time. I'm not playing county fairs anymore. I'm much more seasoned.

Beau Hutton:
You don't have any songs. You can't even play the guitar.

Chiles Stanton:
I've been writing songs. I got a whole bunch of them right over there. [points at her dresser]

Beau Hutton:
[reads the titles of the lyrics] Little Heartbreaker, Summer Girl, Rinky Dinky Town... these aren't songs, these are rides at Disneyland.

Chiles Stanton:
[sings mockingly] I've got friends in low places where the whiskey drowns...

Chiles Stanton:
What if I told you I was never Miss Dallas?

Beau Hutton:
Well I'll probably like you even more. Were you?

Chiles Stanton:
I almost was.

Beau Hutton:
What happened?

Chiles Stanton:
I choked. Like always. They asked me what my stance on global warming was and all I could think of was a planet in a big old sweater my Grandma used to make me.

Beau Hutton:
I'm sure that'll keep the world nice and warm.

Chiles Stanton:
Do you still like me?

Beau Hutton:

Chiles Stanton:
I'm serious, Beau.

Beau Hutton:

Chiles Stanton:
I'm not what I seem.

Beau Hutton:

Chiles Stanton:
Dallas is gonna be canceled isn't it? She's crazy.

Beau Hutton:
She's not crazy. She's the only honest one here. Why are you here Chiles?

Chiles Stanton:
Uhm.

Beau Hutton:
I'm tired. [closes the door]

Chiles Stanton:
Wait. [blocked the door]

Beau Hutton:
Wait what? You wanna come in?

Chiles Stanton:
Stop it.

Beau Hutton:
Fine.

Chiles Stanton:
Wait. Don't... don't make me say it.

Beau Hutton:
Say what?

Chiles Stanton:
You're being very rude right now.

Beau Hutton:

Kelly Canter:

Kelly Canter:
I loved that baby too, Beau. I was sadder than anyone when I lost it. I can't change my past, you know? I can't change how much I drink. I'm stronger than all of us, you know?

Beau Hutton:
I know.

Kelly Canter:
I'm gonna give them one hell of a show.
