[after seeing Damon slip on the grass outside his house] Oh my god, are you okay?

[reverses and tries again, still crashing into his car] f***... [Damon comes out of his house and Amy gets out of her car] You want my insurance?

I really wouldn't worry about it. I don't think anybody wanted to do it anyway.

Amy Jellicoe:
It's really not like her. [looks at her cell phone] . Okay, this is wierd. I've called them both, nobody's picking up. I've texted them both so many times and nobody's writing me back.

Tyler:
Maybe they're somewhere without service. Maybe they're on a mountain or on a beach. Maybe they're sleeping. [Amy looks up] . Maybe they're sleeping together.

Amy Jellicoe:
What?

Amy Jellicoe:

Don't you have to go to work?

Amy!

Amy Jellicoe:
Sometimes, late at night, visited by dread and shame... I lie in bed and think of somebody else's life. I imagine the love that they're getting... and the relief that comes from being really known. The private pleasure they share. The friends they have, and the pressures they don't. Their sense of importance... the satisfactions of their work. I imagine how fulfilled they are... how rich their life is. And in these moments, I feel empty and wanting.

Amy Jellicoe:
Isn't it weird you always wake up as yourself? Never even one day as somebody else...

Amy Jellicoe:
Why did they put me here? To break me. 'Cause I'm mentally ill? I wasn't mentally ill, okay? I mean, I was just f***ing stressed out. So, I go away and deal with it. And it's like, they're trying to stress me out all over again.

Amy Jellicoe:
I'm trying to stay positive, you know. There's all this good that I wanna do and all these things I want to do. And then I just can't, you know. This is getting so frustrating. I'm trapped. I feel like I don't have anything.

Amy Jellicoe:
Sometimes I think about someone else's life. I imagine all the love they do not have. I see the passion that's missing. The friends they don't know. And the awful pressures that crush them. In those moments I realise how much I have, and how much I have to give.

Amy Jellicoe:
What if this kingdom really is cursed? It is cursed. With a lunatic logic. A death drive. Its castle made of glass and concrete... and cancer. What if somehow you knew how to break the spell and only you could bring the light? What if somehow you had found the key that could unlock the chains? The magic key that could free us all. Would you use it? You have to use it.

Amy Jellicoe:
People are living under the illusion that the American dream is working for them. And it's rigged by the guys at the tippy top.

Tyler:
Well, I, I may not be at the top, but I'm happy.

Amy Jellicoe:
No, you're not. You're miserable. You're a mole, you're paralysed.

Tyler:
So, you're sad now?

Amy Jellicoe:
I'm just tired of feeling small. You know, for two minutes there, I felt worth something. Like I was doing something, something real. And I was alive. That might sound pathetic but it felt good to be alive for once. And not just dead and plastic and numb. Oh, God, I really don't want to go back to being nothing. I mean, do you?

Tyler:
I don't know anything else.

Amy Jellicoe:
Tyler, come on. Let's be hopeful. You and me. We can try to do something. Not just be dying. I'm so sick of dying.

Amy Jellicoe:
This kingdom, this amazing kingdom we have made. This monstrous kingdom. Its castles are magic. They are beautiful. They are built on dreams, and iron... and greed. They are inorganic and cannot sustain. No kingdom lasts forever. Even this will end. And life and earth will reign again.

Levi Callow:
Amy? Hey, I'm just missing a few things.

Amy Jellicoe:
You mean your drugs? I dumped them.

Amy Jellicoe:
My first love, my husband. My heartbreak, my pain. It feels so easy now, here. You're not the cheat and the liar. I'm not the nag and the shrew. We're not old, or young. There's no bitterness or illusions. No need for fear, or hope. We're just spirits, drifting through this perfect earth together. We can be free of our sad stories. They float away, until they're like memories of a dream from the night before, shadows under the water. And what's left is pure life. Life is the gift.

You can try to escape the story of your life. But you can't. It happened. The baby died. The dog died. The heart broke. I knew you when you were young. I know your heart broke, too.
