Grandia III (??????III, Gurandia Sur?) is a role-playing video game developed by Game Arts and published by Square Enix for the PlayStation 2 console. Originally released in Japan in August 2005, the game later made available in English in North America in February 2006, and is the first main series Grandia title to not be released in Europe. Grandia III was re-released on the North American PlayStation 3 store on July 21, 2016. The game was designed by much of the key staff of previous games in the series and includes many features seen in its predecessors, including a similar, more fast-paced action-based battle system. Music for the game was provided by series veteran Noriyuki Iwadare, and features the opening theme song "In the Sky" performed by Japanese pop/rock artist Miz. Set in a fantasy world where technology has allowed man to fly in magic-powered aircraft, a boy named Yuki is determined to become a great pilot like his idol, the Sky Captain Schmidt. When he and his mother encounter a girl named Alfina who has the ability to communicate with the spiritual guardians of the world, they become involved in the plot to discover the secrets of the world's past and face an evil rogue guardian named Xorn. The game met with a generally positive response in Japan and North America upon release, with critics praising the game's innovative battle system.

Alonso:

Yuki:
Feel the might of my blade! Whirlwind!

[says it everytime he performs the Special Attack "Inferno Spike"]

Ulf:
Get ready to fry, maggots! Inferno Spike!

[says it everytime he performs the Special Attack "Red Lotus"]

Ulf:
Hiyyaaaahhh! These flames are scorching hot! 10,000 degrees of death!

Kornell:
Hmph. It's about time. I've been waiting for you.

[Kornell is trapped in a net attached to the tree]

Miranda:
You've been waiting for us? You mean you've been waiting for help! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. [to Yuki and Alfina] Come on, you two.

[Just as Yuki's group was about to walk away]

Kornell:
I hope you rot in that net, Musclebound Peabrain.

Kornell:
Wha...? Hey, did I hear you correctly? Did you just call me a Musclebound Peabrain?

Yuki, Alfina and Miranda:
Huh?

Kornell:
[about to get extremely pissed] I said, did you call me a PEABRAIN?

[Kornell frees himself from the net]

Kornell:
[extremely pissed] I'm through playing games with all of you! That does it! I'M GONNA KILL ALL OF YOU!

[the battle with Kronell begins]

[says it everytime she performs the Special Attack "Homing Shot"]

Dahna:
Pick a card. Any card.

[Emelious and Raven clashes their swords at each other and as they perform the finishing attack, Emelious got Raven first as Raven is fatally wounded]

Emelious:
Raven. I'm afraid you weren't cut out to be a God.

Kornell:
Wait! This isn't over yet!

[Just as Kornell attempts to charge towards Yuki's group, he fell into a pit trap. Kornell then stands up]

Miranda:
And stay there this time, you Musclebound Peabrain.

Yuki:
Yeah. Stop following us.

[Yuki and Miranda walks away. Alfina approaches Kornell]

Alfina:
Um, uh, it gets awfully cold out at night. So...

[grabs a blanket]

Alfina:
Here you go!

[Alfina drops the blanket on Kornell's head and walks away]

Kornell:
[embarrassed] Hmph?
