Alphonse Elric:
Brother, it turns out the Philosopher's Stone may very well be real. But all the clues we need to finding it are off limits to everyone except State Alchemists. Since I no longer have a mortal shell, I can't feel the terror you felt, thinking you were going to die. It must have been very painful and lonely. I want my body back Brother. I want to be able to feel what you felt, to feel human again. If we find the Philosopher's Stone, I can have that.

Edward Elric:
When I was certain he was going to kill me, my mind went blank, and I didn't have any hope anymore. All I could do was scream my lungs out. I felt so helpless, I couldn't even bring myself to believe someone might save me. And then you showed up Al, and I realized that if we don't take care of each other then no one else will. So I'll do anything in my power to get our bodies back, even if it means being the militaries lap dog. And we'll just have to hope our powers are good enough to help us rise above our own limits. Because we're not Gods, we're humans, tiny insignificant humans. Who couldn't even save a little girl.

[to Magwar, in response to imposter Elric brothers] I told ya before, let's take care of those kids first. It's been a while since I've killed anyone. I kinda miss it. [his eye turns to Magwar with a sick, scary grin] You wanna watch?

[after blowing open wall of Lab 5]

Scar:
Full Metal Alchemist! Take your brother and get out of here!

Edward Elric:
I don't need your help!

Scar:
Maybe not, but your younger brother needs you.

Edward Elric:
Let's go!

Number 48, Slicer:
Older Broher: No, you don't understand. You must destroy us.

Slicer:
Young Brother: He's right. You must destroy us. There is nothing for the defeated but death that is our rule.

Edward Elric:
I'm not killing anyone. That's not what I do.

Number 48, Slicer:
Older Broher: You're too kind with your words. Calling us anyone, not anything. As if we could still be called human in this twisted state. I didn't say kill, I said destroy. Destroy these thing's we've become.

Edward Elric:
To do that, I'd have to admit you weren't human. And for me to do that, I'd have to admit the same of my brother and I can't do that.

Number 48, Slicer:
Older Broher: He's your brother.

Colonel Roy Mustang:
What are you doing all of a sudden?

Lieutenant Lisa Hawkeye:

Colonel Roy Mustang:
Don't look so gloomy.

Lieutenant Lisa Hawkeye:
Your plan was perfect, but because I didn't make it in time...

Colonel Roy Mustang:
There is no such thing as perfection. This world itself is imperfect. [runs a hand through her hair] That's what makes it so beautiful.

Edward Elric:

Lust:
Oh, but we're not asking, Full Metal...

[she picks up the Slicer's helmet and opens it]

Lust:
We're telling. Do you know what happens to an attached soul... when you do this?

[she begins to remove the blood seal]

Edward Elric:
You can't do that! He's still a human being!

Number 48, Slicer:
Older Broher: Edward Elric... I...

[the helmet shatters. Lust drops the pieces and moves to Al's armor. She reaches her nail inside and prepares to remove his seal]

Lust:
This won't take long.

Edward Elric:
No! Please don't! He's my little brother! Please don't take him away from me! I'm begging you!

Alphonse Elric:
Brother, it's okay. What am I, really?

Barry the Chopper:
What if you're a fake? An imitation? How would you know the difference?

Edward Elric:
There's this thing see, something I've been meaning to tell you...

Edward Elric:
Don't give up on me yet, Al.

[he moves to fix the ceiling so he can make the Philosopher's Stone]

Edward Elric:
Who are you calling so short you want to squish like an ant?

Alphonse Elric:
Calm down, he never said anything like that!

Edward Elric:
But he was thinking it.

Envy:
The reason you're still around, the only reason I haven't killed you is that we were told not to. But I can never forgive you... and there'll never be a time when I'm able to forgive you... for carrying that bastard's blood in your veins!

Wrath:
[fighting Alphonse and gets thrown by him] Ow! That hurt! [grinning] Your metal body isn't the one I'm after!

Alphonse Elric:
Be careful, brother! He's a homunculi just like the others!

Edward Elric:
[talking over Greed] I see, no wonder...

[Ed starts attacking Greed's men]

Greed:
[holding up Izumi by her collar] Hey, listen, I've got a hostage here. Is everyone forgetting about that? Come on, isn't anybody paying attention here! Hellooo?

Greed:
I hope you're ready for me to fight back this time, Mr. Elric.

Edward Elric:
Don't worry. [Ed transmutes his arm into a blade] I'm always ready... [shouts] when I'm pissed!

Greed:
[after being stabbed through the chest and de-transforms]... Damn kid... that was good.

Jean Havoc:
The classic sewer escape.

Roy Mustang:
Don't follow him.

Jean Havoc:
Dammit, I was about to jump in!

Maes Hughes:
Nice mess! Is it over yet?

Roy Mustang:
You know, you could try to help while you're here, Hughes.

Maes Hughes:
Lay off, I'm as normal as they come and this is a contest of freaks. What do you want me to do, fire my slingshot at him?

Greed:
I'm sorry, but who the hell are you?

Izumi Curtis:
I'm... PISSED OFF!

Lieutenant Colonel Maes Hughes:
[telling Mustang about the investigation on Scar] His bloodstained clothes washed up further downstream. We don't know if that means that he's dead, or just naked.

Edward Elric:
[Liore residents call him shorty] Shorty? Can a shorty do this? What else do you want to call me, a half-pint, beanstalk, midget? I'm still-grown you backwater desert idiots!

Maes Hughes:
[Raving over his daughter] She's like my own little escort of cuteness!

Edward Elric:
Glad to see you haven't changed, Major. Nice and insane.

Roy Mustang:
[about his first day if he were the Fuhrer] On that day, all female officers will be required to wear... tiny miniskirts! [Strikes pose]

Edward Elric:
[after the younger Slicer brother destroys his own blood seal] I treated you as humans... I gave him the chance to live and he still choose to die. What could I possibly have done to keep him alive...?

Number 48, Slicer:
Older Broher: That is one of the many questions in this world that cannot be answered.

Alphonse Elric:
Who are you kidnapping?

Kidnapper 1:
You, Alphonse Elric. I'm sorry but you're going to have to come with us now.

Alphonse Elric:
But, my teacher taught me never to go anywhere with strangers.

Kidnapper 2:
Don't be ridiculous. How old are you?

Alphonse Elric:
Fourteen.

Kidnapper 2:
If you're that old, you should be able to think and act for yourself by now, am I right? Listen kid, if you ever want to be a man, then you gotta act like one. You can't let your teacher run your life forever, right?

Alphonse Elric:

[Al interrupts by hitting Kidnapper 2 over the head, knocking him unconscious]

Alphonse Elric:

Lust:

Edward Elric:
I didn't come here to negotiate! If all you homunculi are mistakes created by alchemists, the results of their sins, well then alchemists should be responsible for correcting those mistakes, starting right now!

Greed:
Huh... all right... I didn't want to have to show you this since it does get a bit ugly, but since you're getting all serious on me, then I'll get serious too.

[Greed transforms into his Ultimate Shield form]

Edward Elric:

Greed:

Greed:

Alphonse Elric:
[irate over Ed and Winry's antics regarding Ed's dislike of milk] Do what she says, brother. Drink the dumb milk.

Jean Havoc:
[arm in a sling] Colonel... would you mind getting my cigarettes for me?

Colonel Roy Mustang:
[grabs Havoc's cigarettes from his jacket, looks at them, and then puts them in his own] Get well soon, Havoc.

Edward Elric:
Damn it, there are so many idiots whose asses I have to kick! I'll have to start carrying a list just to keep track of 'em all!

Edward Elric:

Lieutenant Lisa Hawkeye:

[Lieutenant Hawkeye fires her pistol into the wall near the puppy]

Lieutenant Lisa Hawkeye:
Now you won't be doing that again, will you, pup? See, you've got a strict mommy now. The bathroom's out here. Got it, Black Hayate?

Kain Feury:
[crying] What's wrong with all you people?

Roy Mustang:
[stops in the hall and strikes a pose] That day all female officers will be required to wear tiny miniskirts!

Jean Havoc:
[falls to his knees with a nosebleed and rubs his face on Mustang's leg] You're a miracle, Mustang! I'll follow you forever!

Roy Mustang:

Lieutenant Colonel Maes Hughes:
Alchemists get set... [clears throat]

Lieutenant Colonel Maes Hughes:
[bows, turns around and bolts]

Lieutenant Colonel Maes Hughes:
[while running, yelling quickly] Ready and fight!

Maes Hughes:
[showing Edward a photograph of his daughter] Look! Can you believe how big Elicia's gotten? She can even ride a tricycle now! She follows me everywhere on that thing, like my own escort of cuteness.

[kisses photo]

Edward Elric:
Yep, you're the same as ever, Major - nice and insane.

Roy Mustang:
Dog huh? [serious face]... I LOVE DOGS!

Master Sergeant Kain Feury:
Really ya' mean it? [eyes sparkle]

Roy Mustang:
But of course! Dogs embody loyalty they follow their masters commands above all else!Be a jerk to them and they don't complain and they never once beg for a paycheck!Trust me Fuery they're the great servants of man! Loyal canine how we salute Thee!

Edward Elric:
Well, here we are...

Alphonse Elric:

Edward Elric:
What do you think is the matter? Once again, I'll have to listen to Colonel Sarcasm tell me how I screwed up. [Imitates Mustang] Struck out on the Philosopher's Stone again, huh? How am I supposed to keep funding this goose-chase? Money doesn't grow on trees there, chief. Ed, where'd you run off to? Oh, there you are. I couldn't see you behind my paperwork, seeing as how you're so short and all. Ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha ha! [Normal voice] Uggh... Well, I might as well get the verbal abuse over with

Roy Mustang:
[to Scar] Brave enough to attack the Flame Alchemist, I'll make you a funeral pyre.

Riza Hawkeye:
[insistent] Colonel.

[Scar charges, Mustang prepares to snap his fingers]

Riza Hawkeye:
Stubborn [trips Mustang] man! [opens fire on scar with two pistols]

Roy Mustang:
That's no way to get promoted, Hawkeye.

Riza Hawkeye:
[reloads weapon] Relax, sir, I just saved your life. Your flame attack's no good in the rain.

[Mustang goes white]

Jean Havoc:
She has a point, Colonel. Wet gloves can't make a spark.

Scar:
[about to kill Edward] I will give you a moment to pray.

Edward Elric:
Thanks for the gesture, but I don't believe. Stopped a long time ago.

Alphonse Elric:
Oh this is perfect! Now my arm's fallen off too! Today is a terrible day!

Colonel Roy Mustang:
[takes Fuery's glasses off and places them on a surprised Lieutenant Hawkeye. C*cks his head and smirks at her] Not bad.

Lieutenant Lisa Hawkeye:
[adjusts them and gives him an annoyed look] Very funny.

Lieutenant Lisa Hawkeye:
Master Sergeant Feury, during your last physical examination we discovered a severe case of athletes foot... and we now believe that it is affecting your brain.

[Ed is pursuing Siren, a Phantom thief, through town]

Edward Elric:
[Catches up to her and pins her] I've got you pinned, Siren!

[Realizing he has his hand on her breast, he immediately jumps to his feet]

Edward Elric:
I didn't mean that!

Edward Elric:
Shut up, thief.

Phantom Thief Psiren:
Oh dear. Romance me with small talk.

Phantom Thief Psiren:
[Blows Ed a kiss] Sleep tight, pipsqueak!

Edward Elric:
Who are you calling a pipsqueak? You know, I'd be tall too in heels! GAHH!

Referee:
[about Edward in an arm wrestling match] Nah, I couldn't possibly ask *this* shrimp to take on the champ...

[laughs]

Edward Elric:
[enraged] I'm not a shrimp!

[leaps at the referee, but is held back by Alphonse]

Referee:
Whoa, you're a pretty feisty shrimp, aren't ya? Looks like you salvaged that automail from the bottom of a scrap heap!

Winry Rockbell:
[looks enraged] Alphonse. Let go of your brother.

Alphonse Elric:
[nervous] Yes, ma'am.

Scar:
A man who inflicts suffering cannot rest. His guilty mind won't allow it. But today I can finally close my eyes to the living nightmare and lay down...knowing that I won't wake again...

Roy Mustang:
Congrats. You're a dog of the military now.

Cornello:
Idiot! You're running into a dead end!

Edward Elric:

Gracia Hughes:
[struggling against pain] Honey, it's here.

Lieutenant Colonel Maes Hughes:

Gracia Hughes:
[in pain, mildly ticked] The baby!

Lieutenant Colonel Maes Hughes:
[surprised] Ahh! But-but the doctor said next week.

Gracia Hughes:
[in pain] Well the baby just said 'Now!', and I'm pretty sure she gets to choose.

Older Broher: My sword can even cut through steel.

Edward Elric:
I hope you're kidding pal, because if I break this arm again there's a girl who's gonna wring my neck.

Winry Rockbell:
[cut to Winry, who picks up a screw on the table at her home] . That's... Ed's. Whoopsie...

Edward Elric:
[speaking through a speakerphone he created] Attention, Gun-toting extremists! You hear me alright? Or did you blow your ears out playing target practice?

Gunman #1:
What the hell... is that?

Edward Elric:
Let the hostages go! You've got no right to drag these travelers into your personal politics!

Bald:
You're one of Mustang's secret agents, aren't you? Interfere and I'll kill these hostages, one by one.

Edward Elric:
You're just itching to draw blood, aren't you? Alright!

[a large pipe appears through the door]

Gunman #2:
Looks like... a pipe.

Edward Elric:
Okay, passengers! Hold onto your seats, and get ready for some turbulence!

Roy Mustang:
You can call me Roy Mustang. Or just Lieutenant Colonel. Hell, you can call me the Flame Alchemist. Whatever you do, remember the pain.

Colonel Roy Mustang:

Alphonse Elric:
[after Barry's armor head comes off] You're... empty inside...

Barry the Chopper:

Barry the Chopper:

Edward Elric:

Water, 35 litres. Carbon, 20kg. Ammonia, 4 litres. Lime, 1.5kg. Phosperus, 800g. Salt, 250 g. Niter, 100g. Sulphur, 80g. Fluorine, 7.5g. Iron, 5g. Silicon 3g. And fifteen other elements. Those are the elements to make an average adult human body. You can buy these elemental ingredients at the market with the pocket money of a child. Humans are made so cheaply.

Cornello:
[as his bird-monster grabs Edward's leg] Now snap it!

Edward Elric:
Wrong leg, pal.

Edward Elric:
So, if you pray and polish the alter enough times, someone that's dead will be brought back to life?

Rose Thomas:
Something like that.

Edward Elric:
[sighs and pulls out a book] "Water, 35 liters; carbon, 20 kilograms; ammonia, 4 liters; lime, 1.5 kilograms; phosphorus, 800 grams; salt, 250 grams; saltpeter, 100 grams; sulfur, 80 grams; fluorine, 7.5; iron, 5; silicon, 3 grams; and trace amounts of 15 other elements."

Rose Thomas:
What's that?

Edward Elric:
It's all the ingredients of the average adult human body, right down to the protein in your eyelashes. [Closes book] And even though science has given us a complete chemical breakdown, there's never been a successful attempt at bringing a human to life.

[Alphonse's head is knocked off by Dorochet]

Marta:
Hi. Mind if I come in?

[Marta slithers into armor through the neck]

Alphonse Elric:
Huh? Oh, thats so...

Marta:
Ooo, nice place you got here.

Alphonse Elric:
...gross! I know I can't feel you in there, but this is so creepy. Get out!

Marta:
Oh no, I like it in here.

Greed:
I'm sorry, who the hell are you?

Izumi Curtis:
Pissed off!

Edward Elric:
I see. So this is the truth... behind truths.

Wrath:
[to Edward] Thanks for the Arm and leg!

Wrath:
[to Izumi] Thanks for this incomplete life! Nothing can match my gratitude. Not even my hate.

Major Alex Louis Armstrong:

Maes Hughes:
Hey, I've got a message from Roy.

Edward Elric:
You mean the Colonel?

Maes Hughes:

[dropping his voice lower to imitate Mustang]

Maes Hughes:
"Don't die under my command, you're enough of a pain without the paperwork." That was it.

Edward Elric:
Tell him fine, there's no way I'm dying before you do, you morally bankrupt Colonel with a God complex.

Alphonse Elric:
[sitting in a crate at a train station] What could I do? I'm empty armor with half my pieces missing. If I had said, "Don't move me, I'm with Elric." What would they have done?

Alphonse Elric:
No fair, sky. I'm the one who feels like crying.

Veteran:
A dream to get everything back the way it was, but once you have it, what will you do with your life? The pleasure of a dream is that it's a fantasy. If it happens it was never a dream.

Roy Mustang:
Maes Hughes - Killed in Action, and promoted two ranks for it. Brigadier General Hughes. You're the guy who was going to work below me and push me to the top. Then you get yourself killed and pass me in the ranks. I don't know what's more absurd - you or the State.

Roy Mustang:
It's going to rain today.

Lieutenant Lisa Hawkeye:
Yes.

[as the honor guard buries Lt. Col. Hughes]

Elysia Hughes:
[grabs Gracia's hand] Mom, how come? Why are they burying daddy? Who are those people? Why are they burying him? Why?

Gracia Hughes:
[holding back from crying] He's gone, baby.

Elysia Hughes:
They can't! I don't like it. Daddy said he has lots of work to do and if they bury him he can't do it when he wakes up.

Gracia Hughes:
[breaks down and hugs Elicia] Elicia. [cries]

Elysia Hughes:
Stop them, mommy! Daddy needs to do his work. He told me.

Major Alex Louis Armstrong:
[crying]

Elysia Hughes:
Why are you burying daddy, mommy? Why? [yells] Daddy, wake up!
