What's the first thing you do in the morning?

Herself - Guest:
Well, I usually get up, throw on some clothes, and go home.

Herself - Host:
I remember reading in a magazine a few weeks back that you finally had your ears pierced at the start of the year - Is that true?

Jennifer Garner:
I did, yes - back in January. In fact, it wasn't just me, because my big sister Melissa got hers done as well.

Herself - Host:
Can we see them?

Jennifer Garner:
Sure... [Sweeps hair back and tucks it behind her ears. Camera zooms in to close-up of small gold hoop earring in Jennifer's right ear. Jennifer reaches up and plays with the earring, showing that it really does go all the way through her earlobe]

Herself - Host:
Very nice. And who's idea was it to get them done?

Jennifer Garner:
Well, Melissa was visiting me to see the new baby, and we were chatting and she said about how her friends back home kept on trying to talk her into getting her ears pierced, because she'd never had them done. And I said to her that maybe she should try it, if only to shut them up. So she thought about it for a moment, and said that maybe I was right and she'd get them done, just to see what it was like to have them pierced - but only if I got mine done as well!...

Herself - Host:
So she kind of trapped you into it?

Jennifer Garner:
Umm, yeah, kind of - although I did have them pierced a couple of times in the past, but then let them grow over again afterwards, so it wasn't the first time for me. So we went out the next day and got them done.

Herself - Host:
And does she like having them done?

Jennifer Garner:
Oh yeah - In fact we both do. At the moment, we're at the stage of experimenting with different styles like studs, hoops and dangles, to see which we like the best.

Herself - Host:
So are you going to keep them pierced this time, and not let them heal up again?

Jennifer Garner:
Definitely!
