Ian's mother:

Ian Hamilton:

Mrs. McQuarry:
It's good for a man to change his mind sometimes.

Ian Hamilton:
What does your father think of you being involved in all this?

Kay Matheson:
I don't know. His boat was gunned down in the war.

Ian Hamilton:
I'm sorry to hear that.

Kay Matheson:
Aye, me too.

Kay Matheson:
If you go for the Stone without me, I'll break your arm.

Ian Hamilton:
[Nervous about being overheard] Can... can I talk sir?

John MacCormick:
I think so.

Kay Matheson:
[the boys are voting over whether to stay or go back] Doesn't a lass get to vote?

Ian Hamilton:
[Surprised at her being awake] I thought you couldn't hear us.

Kay Matheson:
I'm sick, not dead!

Bill Craig:
You may as well go for the Crown Jewels! You'll never get away with it!

John MacCormick:
You came to me for fifty pounds?

Ian Hamilton:
[Worried about their previous encounter with the police] They've got our names.

Gavin Vernon:
They've also got our stone!

Gavin Vernon:
[Leading Ian into the Abbey] Just keep your eyes on Daddy.

Ian Hamilton:
Is it alright if I have a look around?

Pretty Abbey worker:
[Smiling] As long as you promise not to take anything.

Old Gypsy:
[Alan has just finished a speech about the need for a Scottish symbol while the gypsy is unknowingly sitting on the Stone of Destiny] This symbol, where is it?

Alan Stuart:
Right under your arse.

Kay Matheson:
What could go wrong?

Bill Craig:
We could ruin our lives!

Ian Hamilton:
Aye we could.

Ian Hamilton:
It was only a rock, a big lump of sandstone, you might pass right by it, but to us, it was symbol of our freedom, of our independence. We all knew about it of course, we learned as children how it was the Scottish stone of kings, but they took it from us. And as a nation is suppose we'd forgotten about it. Time does that. It was history.

Veteran In Pub:
Scotland's dead. It died in it's sleep. Nobody even gave it a funeral.

Ian Hamilton:
All great schemes are crazy. That's what makes 'em great.

Kay Matheson:
There'll be nothin' extracurricular, if you follow my meaning.

Ian Hamilton:
It had not even crossing my mind.

Kay Matheson:
Uh, now you're insulting me.

Ian Hamilton:
No I think... Ha, no, I didn't mean like that.

Kay Matheson:
What *did* ya mean?

Ian Hamilton:
I just... look I think you're smashing, I do. It's just, I don't think of you in, like... well, I mean I might...

Kay Matheson:
Why don't you just stop talkin' altogether. You're only making it worse.

Ian's Father:
