Maisie aka Frostbite:
[Backstage at the final performance of "Melodies of 1914" the producer is handing out pay envelopes to the chorus] Ooooh! I'll be missing you next Saturday night, Pop!

Revue Producer:
And I'll be missing you, too, Miss Maisie.

Maisie aka Frostbite:
[Taking her pay envelope] Yeah, but you won't be missing this, and I will. Guess I shouldn't kick. Two weeks is a long run these days. [She heads for her dressing room] C'mon Suzy, let's get dressed.

Suzanne 'Suzy' Trent:
Alright Maisie, I'll be right with ya.

Chorus Girl:
[to Suzy, crying] But it's your whole week's salary, Suzy. I won't take it. You can't afford it!

Suzanne 'Suzy' Trent:
Don't you worry about me; blondes never go broke. Being a brunette, you wouldn't understand that. But you very seldom catch a blonde in financial trouble. Besides, I've got a rich uncle.

Chorus Girl:
But you never told me you had any relatives in London.

Suzanne 'Suzy' Trent:
I haven't got any relatives anywhere, but I've got a rich uncle. Now monkey, you take that.

Andre Charville:
Aha... Jealous?

Suzanne 'Suzy' Trent:
[Looking at a photograph of a beautiful woman in Andre's room] Yes, terribly jealous. Jealous of all the years I didn't know you and jealous of everything that might take you away from me.

Suzanne 'Suzy' Trent:
I love Andre. I can't lose him.

Terry Moore:
I'll tell you what you don't want to lose. Your soft easy life, your nice clothes and your luxury. You don't want to lose a single room in that elegant house of yours. Suzy Trent on her way up. That's why you haven't told Andre the truth.

Suzanne 'Suzy' Trent:
[Starts to leave]

Terry Moore:
Where are you going?

Suzanne 'Suzy' Trent:
To tell Andre everything.

Terry Moore:
You haven't the nerve. [She leaves]

Andre Charville:
This is my luckiest day but maybe you'll have regrets. Be disillusioned.

Suzanne 'Suzy' Trent:
Darling, I don't even know how to spell those words.

Suzanne 'Suzy' Trent:
[to Maisie] Listen, it's just as easy to fall for a big shot as it is a little one.

Suzanne 'Suzy' Trent:
Do you suppose you could give me some lines in the show?

Revue Producer:
[Looking her over] You've got some rather nice lines now.

Suzanne 'Suzy' Trent:
I mean... would you let me play a small part?

Revue Producer:
That depends upon how big a part you're willing to let me play.

Suzanne 'Suzy' Trent:
Oh, well, what time should I report tomorrow?

Revue Producer:
[Making a move] Tomorrow? You're having dinner with me tonight.

Suzanne 'Suzy' Trent:
[Resisting] You're mistaken about dinner. I was speaking of rehearsals.

Revue Producer:
Well, in that case, perhaps you're mistaken about rehearsals. I... I don't think you want to be, uh, the type.

Terry Moore:
Do you like onions?

Suzanne 'Suzy' Trent:
Onions for two are delicious. For one they're a terrible hazard.
