Clarke:
[v.o] I was born in space. I've never felt the sun on my face or breathed real air or floated in the water. None of us have. For three generations, The Ark has kept what's left of the human race alive, but now our home is dying, and we are the last hope of mankind. One hundred prisoners sent on a desperate mission to the Ground. Each of us is here because we broke the Law. On the Ground, there is no Law. All we have to do is survive. But we will be tested: by the Earth, by the secrets it hides, and most of all, by each other.

Lexa:
Blood Must Have Blood

[first lines]

Bellamy Blake:
[unlocking Echo's cage] Get up, it's time to go! I told you I'd come back for you.

[last lines]

Bellamy Blake:
Clarke, let's go. We'll come back with reinforcements...

Caris:
Clarke. Clarke, come on... It's over. I'm sorry.

Clarke Griffin:
It can't be over.

Clarke:
I bear it, so they don't have too.

Clarke:
I tried... I tried to be the good guy...

Dr. Abigail Griffin:
Maybe there are no good guys

[first lines]

Craig:
Yo, Ahab. Come back. Get some rest.

John Murphy:
I'm fine.

Craig:
Oh, screw this. If you're not gonna sleep, you can row.

John Murphy:
[shouting to the sky] Your promised land sucks!

Bellamy Blake:
Look. If you need forgiveness, I'll give that to you. You're forgiven. Please come inside.

Clarke:
Take care of them for me.

Bellamy Blake:
Clarke!

Clarke:
No. Seeing their faces every day is just gonna remind me of what I did to get them here. What we did.

Bellamy Blake:
You don't have to do this alone.

Clarke:
I bear it so they don't have to.

Alie:
Thelonious. It's a good name. It has a double meaning. To the Greeks, Thelonious meant lord or ruler. To the Germans, it meant tiller of the earth. Which are you, I wonder.

Thelonious Jaha:
You said you were waiting for me.

Alie:
For ages, or so it seems. Time passes differently for me. [sweeps his arm through her] Very good, Thelonious. You're as perceptive as I had hoped.

Thelonious Jaha:
You're not real.

Alie:
Define "real." Your vessel is carbon-based. Mine is silicon. Your thoughts are chemical. Mine are digital.

Thelonious Jaha:
And I thought this was my destination.

Alie:
It is, Thelonious. Follow me. You were meant to come here. I realized it when I received your gift.

Thelonious Jaha:
My gift? [entering next room]

Alie:
Thank you for bringing it down for me, Thelonious. We have work to do.

Lexa:
I know how hard that is for you. You think our ways are harsh, but that's how we survive.

Clarke:
Maybe life should be about more than just surviving. Don't we deserve better than that?

Lexa:
Maybe we do...

[first lines]

John Murphy:
It'd sure be nice to have some sign that we're not just marching to our own deaths.

Thelonious Jaha:
We're not.

Garza:
Hey, tell me if you know this one...

John Murphy:
Not again, please.

Garza:
A Grounder and a Reaper walk into a bar. The bartender looks to the Grounder, he says, "we don't serve your kind around here." The Reaper gets up and leaves. You get it? Reapers *eat* Grounders.

John Murphy:
I will take Jaha's staff and beat you to death with it.

Kyle Wick:
So, they make fog that melts people. What are we talking? Nucleation? Oh, please tell me it's Brownian diffusion. I'll have you know I was a god at fluid dynamics.

Raven Reyes:
You think you were a god at everything.

Kyle Wick:
Empirical evidence doesn't lie.

Thelonious Jaha:
We were meant to be here, John. These mines, they're just another test of our faith.

John Murphy:
Yeah, well, I was always crap at tests, so please.

Raven Reyes:
Look, you know I like a good explosion, but we gotta think our way through this one.

John Murphy:
Your enlightened society? It's not a city. It's nothing.

Thelonious Jaha:
I flew down from space. I defied death. It was all for a reason. It has to be!

Indra:
Lexa's a great commander because she's ruthless. That's why we'll win this battle.

Octavia Blake:
That's wrong.

Indra:
That's war.

[last lines]

John Murphy:
Tell me, what level of crazy is too much for you? I'm just curious.

Thelonious Jaha:
We need a boat and a boat appears. This is our destiny. The City of Light is out there and we are gonna find it. Now, get in the boat.

John Murphy:
You heard the man.

Bellamy Blake:
'Who we are, and who we need to be to survive are very different things"

Dr. Abigail Griffin:
[after guiding surgery over the radio] Just let him rest. He might be out of the woods now.

Clarke Griffin:
Down here there's nothing but woods.

Bellamy Blake:
It's not easy being in charge, is it?

[last lines]

Chancellor Thelonious Jaha:
We are on the Titanic, and there are not enough life boats.

Dr. Abigail Griffin:
People tried to kill you today, it's okay if you're upset.

Clarke Griffin:
Just another day on the ground...

Clarke Griffin:
[over the radio] Keep up the good work.

Bellamy Blake:
All I've done so far is not get killed.

Clarke Griffin:
Keep doing that. Out...

Clarke Griffin:
[to her mother] You may be the Chancellor, but I'm in charge.

Clarke Griffin:
Bellamy is the key to everything. If he dies, we all die.

Connor:
Tell me again.

Raven Reyes:
You're the most beautiful broom in a broom closet of brooms.

Bellamy Blake:
Why are you asking me?

Clarke:
Well, because right now I don't feel like being around anyone I actually like.

Jasper Jordan:
Earth is scary.

Monty Green:
Earth is amazing. Fresh air, trees... [tasting] nuts. This is better than usual, ey? [falling back] I'd like to give earth a giant hug.

Jasper Jordan:
You're acting weird.

Monty Green:
I feel weird, but in a good way. [winks]

Monty Green:
[barging in] I can't change the tide if the moon won't cooperate.

Finn Collins:
Get out of here!

Monty Green:
It's basic physics... [disappears again]

Finn Collins:
Guns? Really?

Clarke:
With the Grounder escaping we have to expect retaliation. We have to be prepared.

Finn Collins:
Yeah, our ancestors wanted to be prepared, too. So they built bombs.

Clarke:
Rifles are not the same as nukes.

Finn Collins:
In Belamy's hands they are. You can't predict what he's going to do.

Bellamy:
Fears are fears. Slay your demons when you're awake, they won't be there to get you in your sleep.

Wells Jaha:
We need to be friends again.

Clarke Griffin:
Not possible, you got my dad killed.

Wells Jaha:
This is earth, Clarke, anything's possible.

Wells Jaha:
Alcohol is toxic.

Finn Collins:
This is earth, everything is toxic. Besides, it's a right of passage.

Clarke Griffin:
You think I'm fun, right?

Finn Collins:
Yeah, you're fun. Among other things.

Finn Collins:
Okay, how 'bout we just take it easy.

Clarke Griffin:
I have no idea how to do that.

Wells Jaha:
So, are we having fun yet?

Charlotte:
The Nightmare Never Ends.

[first lines]

Finn Collins:
Okay, tell me again.

Dr. Abigail Griffin:
It's a labyrinth. We got to the dam through this tunnel. It's all connected to the mine system. That's our way in.

Finn Collins:
Sure, if we can get past the Reapers and the Mountain Men.

Bellamy Blake:
I swear to God, if your mom doesn't sanction a mission soon, I'm going by myself.

Dr. Abigail Griffin:
You won't be by yourself.

President Dante Wallace:
[with an iron grip on Cage's neck] I love you, Cage, and there's been a Wallace in this office since the bombs. But if I find out that you're lying, there won't be one after me. Am I making myself clear?

[last lines]

Guard:
Show us your hands.

Chancellor Thelonious Jaha:
[emerging from the trees] Stand down!

Dr. Abigail Griffin:
Thelonious!

Chancellor Thelonious Jaha:
[on his kness] I have a message from the commander. Leave or die. We have two days.

Raven Reyes:
Do you love him?

Clarke:
I hardly know him.

Aurora Blake:
Fear is a demon, Octavia.

Bellamy Blake:
Mom was floated for having you. She's dead because you're alive.

Bellamy Blake:
How long until chocolate cake turns into being hung upside down and drained for their blood?

Finn Collins:
[taking aim, then lowering his rifle] How much ammo do we have?

John Murphy:
I think I liked you better as a peacemaker.

[last lines]

Octavia Blake:
[kneeing down and whispering] Artigas.

Finn Collins:
I found you.

Jasper Jordan:
[bragging to standers-by] Fear's only problem if you let it stop you, right?

Octavia Blake:
[over hearing] That's not even his line. Finn said that.

Jasper Jordan:
You hear that?

Finn Collins:
War drums...

Jasper Jordan:
We're running *toward* the war drums?

Jasper Jordan:
Oh, I hate this planet...

Clarke Griffin:
[quoting physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer] I am become death, destroyer of worlds.

[first lines]

Finn Collins:
[about surgery] Raven, you could die.

Raven Reyes:
In Zero G I didn't need my legs. Down here, I do. Take it out.

Jasper Jordan:
[to Clarke] We're guests here, not prisoners. What would you do with a guest who kept calling you a liar and generally acted like an ungrateful ass?

Nathan Miller:
[looking up from his book] Kick the ungrateful ass out.

Jasper Jordan:
Right now, the biggest threat to us is you.

Wells Jaha:
Your life can be more than just impossible decisions and a tragic end. You can choose to live.

Chancellor Thelonious Jaha:
I miss you, son. Every day.

Wells Jaha:
I'm always with you, dad. You can do this.

[last lines]

Clarke Griffin:
Anya?

Thelonious Jaha:
Place these three into custody, but make sure that they are ready to leave with the rest of us within the hour. RIGHT NOW!

Thelonious Jaha:
[Byrne not responding] Major - or the blood of everyone in this camp will be on your hands, too.

Dr. Abigail Griffin:
Major Byrne, Sergeant Miller, put Chancellor Jaha in the stockade.

Major Byrne:
Yes, Ma'am.

Thelonious Jaha:
Everything we did to survive, you're just throwing it all away. Why?

Dr. Abigail Griffin:
Because I have faith, too. In my daughter.

[first lines]

Clarke Griffin:
Anya, we've been walking for hours. Where are we going?

Anya:
Quiet!

Clarke Griffin:
Why not just kill me and get it over with?

Clarke Griffin:
I don't want to kill you, Anya.

Anya:
Then you're the one that's gonna die.

Major Byrne:
[toting her gun] What the hell are you doing?

Kyle Wick:
Oh, it's a radio beacon.

Major Byrne:
Wrong. It's a target!

Raven Reyes:
Hey, wait a second! [gunshot echoes]

Kyle Wick:
We fell from space in a football stadium; I think they already know we're here.

[last lines]

Man:
[into radio] Shot two more. Alpha team's got two Grounders down.

Bellamy Blake:
This is on you, princess. You should have kept your mouth shut.

Raven Reyes:
I need a pressure regulator.

Nygel:
What for?

Raven Reyes:
Regulating pressure.

Octavia Blake:
Before you get any ideas, Finn's mine.

Clarke:
Before you get any ideas, I don't care

Octavia Blake:
We're back, b*tches!

Wells Jaha:
Clarke, there is something I have to tell you. I am sorry I got your father arrested...

Clarke:
Don't you talk about my father.

Wells Jaha:
Please, I can't die knowing that you hate me.

Clarke:
They didn't arrest my father, Wells. They executed him. I DO HATE YOU!

Bellamy Blake:
Octavia, Octavia, no. Let's give them something else to remember you by.

Octavia Blake:
Yeah? Like what?

Bellamy Blake:
Like being the first person on the ground in 100 years.

Octavia Blake:
WE ARE BACKKKK! BIIIITTTCCCCHHHHEEEESSS!

Clarke:
I wonder, "Why haven't we seen any animals?" Maybe it's because there are none. Maybe we've already been exposed to enough radiation to kill us. Sure is pretty, though. Come on.

Octavia Blake:
Someone should slip her some poison sumac.

Finn Collins:
I got to know what you two did to get busted.

Monty Green:
Sumac is not the only herb in the garden, if you know what I mean.

Jasper Jordan:
Someone forget to replace what we took.

Monty Green:
Someone has apologized, like, 1,000 times.

Jasper Jordan:
How about you, Octavia? What'd they get you for?

Octavia Blake:
Being born.

Dr. Abigail Griffin:
We always have a choice, Kane. You chose to press charges against my husband, your friend, even though you knew he would get floated for it. You chose to include my daughter in those charges, and now you're choosing this. Hiding behind the law absolves you of nothing.

Councillor Marcus Kane:
Be that as it may, in accordance with Penal Code One, because all crimes committed by those above the age of maturity are capital crimes, You are hereby sentenced to death. Execution is set for the morning, and I choose at every turn and at any cost to make sure that the human race stays alive.

Dr. Abigail Griffin:
That's the difference between us, Kane. I choose to make sure that we deserve to stay alive.

Councillor Marcus Kane:
Friendship is a luxury we can't afford, and if I have to take us down to a cosmic Adam and Eve, I will do it.

Callie 'Cece' Cartwig:
Please, show mercy, if not for Abby, then for me.

Councillor Marcus Kane:
We can't afford mercy, either.

[first lines]

Clarke:
[narrating] I felt the sun on my face. I see trees all around me, scented wildflowers on a breeze. It's so beautiful. In this moment I'm not stranded in space. It's been 97 years since a nuclear apocalypse killed everyone on earth, leaving the planet simmering in radiation. Fortunately there were survivors. Twelve nations had operational space stations at the time of the bombs. There is now only the ark, one station forged from the many. We're told the earth needs another hundred years to become survivable again. Four more space-locked generations and man can go back to the ground. The ground, that's the dream. This is reality. [her prison door crashes open] Reality sucks.

Councillor Marcus Kane:
If we're going to kill 100s of innocent people, we're going to do it by the book.

[first lines]

Clarke Griffin:
I'm gonna get you out of here.

[last lines]

Dr. Lorelei Tsing:
[inspecting each grounder] Harvest. Harvest. Harvest.

Dr. Lorelei Tsing:
[stopping at Lincoln] Mark this one for the Cerberus program.

[first lines]

Lexa:
Some on my side say that's not enough. They wanted the murderer to suffer as our tradition demands. But they do not know that your suffering will be worse. What you did tonight will haunt you until the end of your days.

Marcus Kane:
Clarke is right. We need to do this. Peace with the Grounders is the only way we'll survive.

Dr. Abigail Griffin:
Oh, I don't think they know what peace is.

Marcus Kane:
The commander does.

Dr. Abigail Griffin:
She's a child. They're being led by a child!

Marcus Kane:
So are we.

Lexa:
I lost someone special to me, too. Her name was Costia. She was captured by the Ice Nation, whose queen believed she knew my secrets. Because she was mine... they tortured her, killed her, cut off her head.

Clarke Griffin:
I'm sorry.

Lexa:
I thought I'd never get over the pain, but I did.

Clarke Griffin:
How?

Lexa:
By recognizing it for what it is... weakness.

Clarke Griffin:
What is? Love? So you just stopped caring about everyone? I could never do that.

Lexa:
Then you put the people you care about in danger, and the pain will never go away. The dead are gone, Clarke. The living are hungry.

Lexa:
Tell me something, Clarke. When you plunged the knife into the heart of the boy you loved, did you not wish that it was mine?

[last lines]

Monty Green:
[wakes up in a cage] Harper. Hey, Harper! What did they do to you?

Harper:
[in an adjoining cage] 47. They built one for each of us. [sobs]

Lexa:
Victory stands on the back of sacrifice.

[last lines]

Clarke Griffin:
They're gonna kill all my friends.

Dr. Abigail Griffin:
Then you better hurry.

Dr. Abigail Griffin:
[stopping her] I need you to do something for me. Don't forget that we're the good guys.

Lexa:
It's time!

Dr. Abigail Griffin:
[hand on Clarke's cheek] May we meet again.

Lead Guard:
[grabbing Murphy's who grabbed his water] Whoa, no, no, no, no, no. We barely have enough for ourselves here.

John Murphy:
Touch me again and I'll end you. [walks away]

John Murphy:
[then walks back] In a noncriminal way...

Thelonious Jaha:
[setting off into the night] I believe this is what they call having faith, John.

John Murphy:
Faith? Nah. Just got nothing better to do.

Lincoln:
We've all got a monster inside of us, Clarke, and we're all responsible for what it does when we let it out.

Dr. Abigail Griffin:
Your people would kill their own leader for being merciful?

Lincoln:
For being weak.

Dr. Abigail Griffin:
Finn killed innocent people.

Lincoln:
If death has no cost, life has no worth. That's how we live.

Indra:
[rejecting Abigail's parley] You have courage, but courage isn't justice. Only the boy can die for what the boy has done.

Clarke Griffin:
[to Lexa] Show my people how powerful you are. Show them you can be merciful. Show them you're not a savage.

[last lines]

Clarke Griffin:
[into his ear] I love you, too.

Finn Collins:
[groans] I'm scared.

Clarke Griffin:
You're gonna be okay. [crying] You're okay... [draws back her bloody knife]

Finn Collins:
Thanks, princess.

Clarke Griffin:
[backs off crying]

Lexa:
[calls off disgruntled grounders] It is done!

Raven Reyes:
[from a distance realizing Finn is dead] No! No! No! No! No! No! [crying]

[first lines]

Bellamy Blake:
Okay, we make it to the intake door without any of the real Reapers seeing us. What happens then?

Lincoln:
We kill everyone.

Thelonious Jaha:
[at his son's grave site] What happened to him?

John Murphy:
A twelve year old girl stabbed him in the neck with my knife.

Thelonious Jaha:
Why would she so that?

John Murphy:
Because she couldn't kill you.

Lexa:
[a fierce beast pounding on the door] Don't worry, Clarke, death is not the end.

Clarke Griffin:
We're not dying here. I need your spirit to stay where it is.

John Murphy:
There are a million ways to die out there.

Thelonious Jaha:
If it's not your time, nothing can kill you. If it is, nothing can save you.

Reaper Worker:
Harvest them all...

Dr. Abigail Griffin:
[walking into Alpha Station with Jackson] Feed the quiet three hundred first. Everyone else can wait.

[last lines]

Chancellor Thelonious Jaha:
[over the radio] Tell Kane and Abby they're on their on their own now. As long as they work together, everything will be okay. You remind them of that. You tell them to keep our people safe. Jaha out.

Councillor Marcus Kane:
[static] May we meet again.

Dr. Abigail Griffin:
[to parent after eye exam] Don't worry, the rolling of the eyes doesn't last very long - 10 maybe 15 years.

Finn Collins:
Unity Day is a lie. The Ark only came together after the 13th station was blown out of the sky. It's just not the version of history we like to tell each other at parties.

Clarke Griffin:
The Unity Day story gives people hope, though. And peace came out of that violence.

Finn Collins:
Did there need to be violence at all?

Raven Reyes:
Violence is the only thing those people understand.

Finn Collins:
You know, they could say the same thing about us. If we keep going on this way, we'll never stop digging graves.

Clarke Griffin:
So, what are you going to do when the Guard comes down here and commandeer Monty's still?

Sterling:
Build another.

Finn Collins:
This is our world now, and I think we can do better than the first time around.

Raven Reyes:
[watching Clarke negotiating] The Grounder princess looks pissed.

Bellamy Blake:
*Our* princess has that effect.

Bellamy Blake:
This is our home now. We built this from nothing with our bare hands! Our dead are buried behind that wall, in this ground. Our ground! The Grounders think they can take that away? They think that because we came from the sky we don't belong here! But they have yet to realize one very important fact. We are on the ground now. And that means *we* are Grounders!

[first lines]

Chancellor Thelonious Jaha:
Every simulation has been run. Every system modification has been made. The hard and simple fact is that in 51 hours, life on the Ark will no longer be possible. I choose to find consolation in one remarkable truth. Surviving members of the 100 have proven themselves to be more resilient than we could have ever imagined. Our legacy will go on. And for that, I am not only grateful, but I am proud.

Woman:
So what do we tell our constituents to do now? What do *we* do now?

Chancellor Thelonious Jaha:
Look inside. Find your peace.

[last lines]

Councillor Marcus Kane:
Are we really going to do this? Bring the Ark to the ground?

Chancellor Thelonious Jaha:
You have a better idea?

Chancellor Thelonious Jaha:
What do you say Abby? Ready to see your daughter again?

Chancellor Thelonious Jaha:
[Reciting] In peace may you leave this shore. In love may you find the next. Safe passage on your travels until our final journey to the ground. May we meet again.

Bellamy Blake:
Lookin' to you, Princess.

Bellamy Blake:
Listen to me. I told you my life ended the day you were born, the truth is, it didn't start until then.

Raven Reyes:
It's not rocket science.

Clarke:
It is rocket science actually.

Jaha:
No pain, no hate, no envy.

Murphy:
No thanks.

Jaha:
John...

Murphy:
No. Pain, hate, envy. Those are the ABCs of me. You get rid of them and there's nothing left, so why don't you get that thing out of my face?
