You're not going to send me back are ya?

Jim Lester:
Why shouldn't I?

Francisco Cortez:
Because I didn't do the things I'm charged with. I didn't do it. I swear I didn't! I was railroaded. You believe me, don't you? Fifteen years in that hellhole - fifteen years for something I never done!

Oscar:
If there were any justice in this town, the sheriff would make me a de-de-de... marshal.

[a group of angry townsman, the recipients of threatening notes from "The Phantom," confront the skeptical Sheriff]

Sheriff Jim H. Ryan:
Well, maybe it ain't a joke after all.

Royce Macklin:
It's likely to be a joke on you, Sheriff, if you don't get down to business quickly. If you don't catch this "Phantom" we'll take the law into our own hands.

[the Phantom's henchmen try to convince Mona to lure her father to their ranch]

Mona Cortez, alias Mary Smith:
I don't believe you. I won't tell you where he is!

Phantom's henchman:
Alright then - there are other ways of finding out. We'll spread the report that you're held here. He'll come to save you, and when he comes - well, no one can blame us if an escaped convict accidentally stops a stray bullet.
