Albert L. Patterson:
Rhett, I'm not stickin' my neck out. Why should I? Phenix City has been what it is for 80, 90 years. Who am I to try to reform it?

Rhett Tanner:
[Looking at a bowl of turtles painted with numbers] You know, there ought to be a way to make a lot of money with these little turtles.

Cassie:
Hunh?

Rhett Tanner:
Yeah, havin' them in a turtle race, you know. If I could just figure out a way to fix the winner.

Mamie:
[provocatively as John enters the casino] Are you lookin' for someone important or will I do?

John Patterson:
[Viewing the dead body of a black girl thrown from the car] Who is she?

Albert L. Patterson:
Zeke's baby.

John Patterson:
Did thy kill her just for this?

Albert L. Patterson:
They've killed for less.

Rhett Tanner:
We've got a lot of people to take care of, you know.

Albert L. Patterson:
Everybody has got his hand out?

Rhett Tanner:
Yeah.

Albert L. Patterson:
If you want to stay in business, you've got to keep those hands filled, huh?

Rhett Tanner:
That's just about the size of it.

Albert L. Patterson:
